@The Omnipotent Sphere Hi! Nice character, by the way. I edited my character sheet (can be found in the respective tab) slightly to fit accordingly with the presence of your character. My character is your assistant, basically, but he has more respect for the actual lord (the father). :d
Don't get me wrong, I would love to boss people around and all, but I don't want to write for two characters who are directly lord-servant to one another in a single post. It's going to force me to have to cut my posts shorter in order to not overdo their interactions with one another, and it's just awkward. That, and I'm probably the least active individual here.
I also never said I would if it was needed but I'll consider it :^)
"Ever heard of the saying, 'asses to ashes?' I coined it myself; you know, for enemies." OC: Ace, Final Fantasy Type-0
Height: 5'9
Hair Color: Platinum-blond
Eye Color: Sea green
Complexion: Light
Body Composition: Lean
Username: Solace
Name: Illyan Travard
Age: Nineteen years old
Gender: Male
Class: Fire Mage
Rank: Vassal
House: Travard → Tosen
Personality: Like all mages, Illyan is very focused and objective-driven; he seeks to gain more knowledge and make his existence more meaningful, wishing to leave not just one, but multiple legacies in the world. Though, in contrast to this serious and determined nature, he is generally calm and amiable, socializing well with people and known to charm them with his gentle manner. He does not feel the need to act in an instant, knowing that with all of his wishes and wants, comes the time it takes to accomplish his goals.
Illyan dislikes being left disappointed by failure, and even though he has experienced failure often, he takes it more personally than most, often falling victim to episodes of depression. Illyan is very objective about opposition to himself, whether it is to his ideals or his allies; in lieu to his training, he knows how to find his rhythm during a heated battle, and he is not afraid of sharp weapons.
While Illyan serves House Tosen in its greatness, he has a fondness for its esteemed ruler, who is stricken with sickness. He is sent as his representative when the younger lord is unable to attend to the manner, and does not refuse an order from the ill lord. Illyan views the feud between the two families as an unnecessary conflict, often being the one who is forced to 'clean up after the messes' of his 'rowdier' members.
Biography: Illyan was never meant to be born. Conceived to the astute head of House Travard and a mistress in Ludra, it was controversially decided that the bastard child would be kept and raised on equal status as the rest of the royal children. Despite the protest from the court nobles and label as a blemish to their reputation, his father devoted more attention to the 'mistake' compared to his legitimate offspring.
House Travard was well regarded for being among the few families with a surviving magic bloodline; Illyan was the sole inheritor of an innate affinity for the destructive element, Fire, among his other three brothers. This only stimulated a greater interest from his father, who neglected his other bashful children to further explore Illyan's potential talent. Instead of the traditional training his siblings received, he was drilled into the likes of a battle mage, extending the natural boundary of mana in his veins.
With this largely active and physically demanding style compared to stationary casting, Illyan proposed a new method that involved converting and storing magical power into bare gemstones, then activating the spell by projecting mana into the crystal and causing it to shatter and fragment through physical contact wherever necessary, granting portable usage after creation.
Illyan's father viewed the idea as a sedition to magic, stating that it would completely upset the foundation of traditional magic and cause imbalances among the elements. Told to discard the ideal, a fifteen year old Illyan was resolute and determined to come through with his proposal, but with no support from his father, he felt the need to take his efforts elsewhere.
In the dead of night, Illyan took several of the family's gems and claimed a gift from his father that was to be given three years later. With these belongings on horseback, the boy rode off into the darkness. Knowing that his father would look for him, he set his destination for Sariwon.
Weeks of journey passed as Illyan would travel during the day and attempt to make his idea a reality. Arriving within the boundaries of the province under the rule of Lord Tosen, he was immediately informed of the ongoing feud against the Aseryo. When he sought a counsel with the regional lord, he was met with a sickened man, plagued with illness. The young mage, sympathizing with the lord, cleared the tense atmosphere with his story, pledging his servitude to the House.
With the wake of the sprawling rumors concerning demons prowling the land and wrecking havoc, Illyan looks to put an end to the discrimination of mages, and eradicate the dark menace, whether the Aseryo agree to a compromise or not.

So, I remember another Fire Emblem RP I was in a while back, and go back to reminise(pretty sure I spelledthat wrong). Then I decide to see how the GM of it is doing today and chack their profile. Turns out they had been absent for some time and came back fairly recently, doing the curtousy of letting people knowthey were under a new name.
Feel a little like slapping myself in the face now. -_-'
The boiling weather of the particular afternoon did not bother Illyan Travard, compared to his colleagues that accompanied the lord on their trek into Furumaki. After a lifetime of practicing fire magic, such heat was a mere blanket of warmth to him, the cozy veil failing to whittle his strength.
Entering the capital with the convoy, Illyan had paid no attention towards the stares and whispers of the commoners, just as he always had during his previous journeys.
"The White Heretic," some called him.
But, just as the embers of a fire burn out with time, the conversation stops. They knew better than to speak badly about a member of House Tosen, his house crest strapped to the end of his belt. Illyan was not one to have involved himself within the conflict between the two Houses directly; it was pointless, and he spent more time cleaning up after the messes of the House.
Though he was allowed to roam the capital before the meeting would commence, Illyan followed Lord Takasu, while making sure that no trouble was caused by their House. When the time came, he filed into the castle, joining the individuals from House Tosen in the gathering room.
Giving a customary bow to those who were already inside, Illyan ran a hand along his hair and sat down quietly. The young man cupped his hands together, clearing his throat as he looked between the two lords. "Any time we may begin, sire."
