@KoukiA military is a large, armed force generally composed of land, air, and sea forces tasked with defending a country and all its territories, and going against whatever threatens it. You're talking five Power Rangers, five Power Rangers that have not been confirmed to be on the exact same level. What you describe of this team is nearing the endgame, when they've been battle-hardened and tested through trials and tribulations, through suffering, through defeat, and through hard fought victories. With all due respect, we have no idea the condition of this team from the very start, nor how they'll fare in actual combat Pro presents to them. So this team of five that were more than likely only chosen because they weren't under the mind control--some depends on the background and I don't see any templates yet, waiting for Pro to finish the OOC-- and nothing more than that.

Duty means a responsibility given a new role you've chosen to fill. I was not denying that these Rangers have a duty to protect New Earth from the second they touched their morphers for the first time. What you wanted was this to feel like some sort of military strike team, when thus far, as far as we know, it's these five people from different walks of life just trying to fight back and survive while doing so, and there's no guarantee for any of them--especially since I have no concrete information on most of them and none of you are likely to be warriors at heart. This was something you either felt you had to do, needed to do, or wanted to do. But me, personally? I just didn't like 'reporting for duty' to be part of the call, and that's just because it sounds more like you are more militant than strike team, and I feel that there are possibly simpler ways to initiate your call.

I liked Alex' idea: Striker (color/number/whatever), online/responding!

But you will always be reporting for duty, whether in the suit or not, because that was a task you all should have been willing to take up without powers. Lightspeed Rescue taught us that while being Rangers is a significant boon, everyday people can be heroes, so 'reporting for duty' just felt too militant and less accepting of that. The only time you guys shouldn't be reporting for duty is if you're dead lol.

But that's just me dude. Like I said, this is all about a call, and I'm down for whatever you guys decide as a group.
@KoukiBut it's also the legacy of the Power Rangers that led everyone there and gave them the ability to fight back, so don't forget the roots. I just don't get that same sense of 'elite' that you do, but if the others agree to it I'm not gonna say anything. It's just a call at the end of the day. All I want is some development--that's really where my stake in this lies.
DNA bonding has its own form of risk. Given that ranger teams have been beaten in the past, should one of you die that tech should be able to be passed down. It can also be said that there is a method of wiping the DNA bonding through means the Mentor would know. It can be a good idea if you want to go that route.

@Kouki I think reporting for duty is maybe more militaristic than strike team-like. This isn't a matter of duty, it's more like desperation--a need to break your world free from this passive slavery. Responding implies you are coherent and still with the team; you are ready to strike or defend if necessary. I wouldn't want this to feel like a duty thing.
PM'd
Self Inserts.

Was dealing with one of those recently and had to dodge that bullet real quick.

As for my bitching, it's recently been when people are 'craving' something, you pm them, and they don't respond. Minor, but after the first several times it begins to be upsetting.
Great. Sooner we get this ball rolling, the better.
@alexfangtalon I like the morph call, but would probably drop the end of it, "Striking with lethal precision, Strike Force reporting for duty!" since it feels just a bit too corny in a world that's pretty bland. Everything else I'd call solid. And I, too, liked RPM and Dino Thunder's sequences.

Eh, morphging was only a three button code and they looked the villains down as they punched it in with their fingers. Plus, as the video shows, Space had one of the fastest transformations. No fuss, just a flash and you were a ranger with statistics floating around you.

Besides, I feel like I could type 3-3-5 faster than I could turn a key. Mainly because two of those buttons were the same.

Also, I'm not gonna morph in front of the enemy and give away any chance of surprise I might have in the future.

How crazy would it be to stand up in the middle of a battle field and start shouting nonsense like

"Hey, you! Yeah, we're the ones you want!! Please be aware of us as we make no attempt to use any form of strategic planning and give away our position!!"

And if I did ever consider morphing in front of the enemy. I would be on the move as I did so. Circling you at a distance to dampen your chance of hitting me and scanning you for weaknesses I could exploit later in battle.

It was just my opinion on the subject. I still believe that the design choice could be better without any button inputs, but this is not my sole (lol) decision, it's probably going to be a group one. I'm willing to work with button morphers if everyone else is, since Pro said that although the design has no buttons as of yet, he will add them in if you all want. The gem, on the other hand, I'm happy with it staying.

Regarding your solution to morphing and moving at the same time, if I were your opponent there'd be no need. I'd let you morph. It would have been some time since my General had last beaten and/or killed a ranger. He considers it good sport.
But don't you see? That is the heartless part. Making that sort of declaration, then taking away the opportunity for anyone to accept such a challenge... That leaves behind so much "what if" that it can tear a man apart!

On a completely unrelated note, Nightwish concert was awesome. Had tons of fun. Going to bed now. Probably be dead tomorrow at work. Woo~

Mentor/non-official Assistant

General/Assistant (one of the two)

Ranger

My priorities as of now. Maybe we'll get a good villain app or two!
@SoleAccord You're a heartless bastard. I like you.

Oh, no, if I was heartless I'd have made that General ;3
