About Me

Well, I'm back again after another almost-year-long break from RPG. Man, wouldn't it be great if college didn't come in these little spurts of intensity that are almost impossible to predict?

Anyways, since you've almost certainly never heard of me before: Hey! I'm Sotiras! I'm a 20-soon-to-be-21-year-old college student majoring in English, and a guy who likes to play guys in RP's. I'm more than happy to double up wherever appropriate, and in fact I love to, but as far as main characters go, I prefer playing those of the male persuasion.

But, since you're here looking at interest checks, here's the most important information for you! I'm here looking for an MxF RP chock full of interesting characters, big adventures, budding romance, awesome action, heart-wrenching drama... or, y'know, at least most of those things. Sound like your cup of tea? Well, then hopefully you're interested enough to take the time to read through this fabulous set of rules! (Pls)

Rules

1) Like the title says, I'm looking for an RP somewhere in the Casual range. For me, that usually means about two paragraphs per character appearing in the post, but I'm not really all that picky about size. As long as you avoid unworkable one-liners, what I'm really interested in is someone with consistently good grammar, spelling, and writing flow.

2) I'm looking for somebody who is able to consistently post at least once a day, or give me some kind of OOC heads-up if they can't. I don't think that's too unreasonable to ask considering that the posts will usually be comparatively small. Also, I'll definitely be even more happy if you're able to consistently post multiple times per day, but I won't make that a requirement.

3) I have no real limits as far as mature content goes, but I'd also rather not center any of my RP's purely around those 'mature' themes. I am just not a fan of overbearing gloom-and-doom drama-fests that won't spare even a moment of levity. Same goes for a total smutfest with no actual substance behind it. As far as I'm concerned, the tone of an RP should be as varied as the mood of its characters... and who likes playing alongside a character with just one emotion?

4) I only RP over PM's on RPG. It's just what I've gotten used to, and in my opinion it's better for the purposes of a 1x1 anyways.

5) Not really a rule, but you will literally be my favorite person if you keep up a little OOC chatter throughout the course of the RP. It isn't just me that finds them more enjoyable when your partner doesn't feel like a total stranger, right?

Wow! It has been a long time since I made one of these! But after a long hiatus for school and work and other assorted things, I'm finally back! I suppose the first thing anyone should know is that I'm a male who plays males. I'm open to pretty much any sort of RP partner and doubling, but when it comes to my primary character, I play males. Aside from that, I have a few interests as far as the RP's themselves go: I love adventure, I love action, I love romance, I love drama, I love any awesome combination of the four, and probably any other cool literary themes that you might want to bring to the table. However, there are also some things that I do not love, so I guess a list of my rules would be in order here. Rules 1) As I alluded to in the title, I RP at a Casual level. That means that, on average, our posts should contain about two decently sized paragraphs with good grammar, spelling, and writing flow. It could go higher or potentially dip lower in certain circumstances, but those two paragraphs should be the rough average. 2) I'm looking for somebody who is able to post at least once a day, or give me some kind of OOC heads-up if they can't. There's nothing worse than waiting on the next post in an RP you really enjoy when it's not actually coming. I also very much welcome anyone who is able to consistently post more than once a day. 3) I have no real limits as far as mature content goes, but I'd also rather not center any of my RP's purely around those 'mature' themes. A ridiculous gloom-and-doom gorefest just comes off as way more immature than something more realistic with happier scenes to balance things out. Same goes for a total smutfest with no actual substance behind it. 4) While it isn't necessarily a rule, I definitely much prefer an active, chatty OOC to a nearly dead one. It's hard to get into an RP when your partner doesn't act like they're into it, too! 5) I only RP over PM's on RPG. It's just what I've gotten used to, and I'm terrible at spreading myself out over multiple sites/parts of the site. 6) At the moment, I've just started my latest semester of college, so I'll be RP'ing almost exclusively during the late night (Pacific Standard Time), and I may not be available every day. Hello, one and all, and welcome to my humble... well, I wouldn't really call it an interest check, as I'm somewhat lacking in solid, actual ideas. Meaning I have none. So, what right do I have to be posting here, you ask? Well I do, as a matter of fact, have vague ideas! Lovely, flexible things that are perfect for collaborative efforts!

So, what I am really looking for is an RP partner. An. As in singular. Only one. You see, I'm neck-deep in my second semester of college, and that has left me with much less free time than I would like. To ensure that I don't overburden myself, I am setting my RP limit ridiculously low, so it is basically impossible to take on more than I can handle. How can you tell if that one singular person has already been found? Well, if you happened to see a blaring string of the word 'CLOSED' up above, there you go. I'll be editing that in once I've got 'em.

So what am I looking for in this partner I'm seeking? Well, I feel like making a list, so here's a list:

• Someone who is able to consistently give two decently bulky paragraphs per post, with good grammar, spelling, etc.


• Someone who will at the very least not turn into some silent puppet master the moment the RP starts. A lack of an active OOC is just kinda eerie to me.


• Someone who will post at least once a day, or give OOC notification if they cannot.


• Someone who isn't squeamish about mature themes and mature scenes, but also doesn't center the whole RP around them.


• Considering that I play male main characters, and am a childish sucker for romantic subplots, someone who plays female main characters. Side characters are whatever.


Not a very impressive list, I suppose. Well, anyways, on to what sort of RP's I'd be looking for, in descending order of likelihood I'd enjoy them (i.e. The higher the better).

Basically New, Technically Not

Hey everybody! I'm Sotiras (Or if you prefer real names, Kyle), and I was pretty into RPing on the OldGuild for a while, perhaps... a year-ish ago? Of course, then college happened, and those of you who've been through it probably know what that meant for my free time. Anyways, lately I feel like I've been getting better at handling the workload, so I got to reminiscing about my RP days and figured now was as good a time as any to get back on the horse!

...Come to think of it, Spring break may have actually been a better time.

...Well, too late for that now! I'm back, and ready to start getting back into the swing of things! I'll see you all around!
