I love poetry, but I can only make poems when I'm in the mood, which is not very often.
Even though the path before me
Has every twist and turn
I shape my hope and future
And just stand back to learn.
But the danger will arise
That can lead to my demise
When awards and golden trophies
Are for all I yearn.
The days are close approaching
When recognition fades
The time will soon be lurking
When none remember trades.
So I put time where it matters
I invest in what will count.
I hope that in that future
Is my good, a great amount.
