Toren Lark / Subject Maw

Augmentation:
 -Has been exposed to CDE, which has warped parts of his body. Hands from fingernails up to elbow are blackened and scaled, nails are as strong as diamonds and just as sharp.
-Sharp teeth that look like they’re metallic.
-Excellent eyesight, can see in the dark.
-Mouth opens more than normal humans, about the whole length of the jawbone.
-Blood looks like oil, black and glimmers in the right light.
-Sharper Senses all together.
-Iron Stomach; can eat basically anything in order to survive, downside, needs to eat a lot.

Personality:
-Toren; Toren is kind, a bit flighty and nervous, rather bright in intellect and curious about learning. Not used to being around too many people (Before and after Experiments), gets anxious in crowds or too big of groups. Ultimately friendly and ready to help if needed, slightly slower to trust after experiments.
-Maw; Beastial, untrusting. Attacks only in defense and will try to hide or escape before getting into combat. Always seems to be hungry. Over protective over those that Toren has formed enough trust with, will take orders from those people if needed as well.

Defining Trait:
	-Toren; Curious.
	-Maw; Cautious.

Goal:
Both Toren and Maw really have the same goal; Survive.
Toren doesn’t really know if he wants revenge or not, but Maw definitely wants to devour Von Galloes.

Backstory:
Toren was a bright kid, blasting through school with ease and then medical school without too much hassle. Hired by HiveMind as a lower scientist to start with, Toren slowly gained praise from Galloes and slowly moved up the ranks, becoming one of the higher doctors, trusted by Galloes. Toren didn’t know anything about the much darker experiments that the company was focusing on, until he did…

Von took offense to Toren accidentally walking into a very important meeting, to which he decided to ‘punish’ the younger doctor by using him as a ‘personal experiment’. Deciding to try and graft Condensed Dark Energy into Torens’ body and causing him extreme pain. His body took to it in a stranger way that Von was expecting, warping the young man into a hunger-driven beast-soldier.
Von tried to use the Hunger drive to ‘train’ the newly named ‘Subject Maw’, due to the unhinging jaw and sharp teeth, into a new attack dog, but he was stubborn as Toren was still mentally in there with Maw, both of them attempting control together.

Von finally got tired that this experiment ‘failed’, chucked a tracking collar(With added protection on his side) and threw Toren/Maw into what he deemed an impossible mission; knowing surely the beast would die by itself somewhere where no one could find them.
Unknown to Von, Torens’ curiosity and quick learning allowed him to beat the other thrown away monsters and destroyed his tracking collar, which caused Von to presume the man was dead.

Down where he was thrown to, Toren’s Dark Energy mutations meant he was drawn to whatever Dark Energy power was hidden where he was thrown, which caused him to essentially be put in stasis when he found it, knocking him out cold and keeping his body preserved until someone would find him.

Inventory: The only thing Toren currently has on him while in Stasis is a sharp iron dagger and a torn old map.




Jaylyn Harringway


21 | Female | 5’1” | 183lbs


Augmentation:
	-Chip Implant that allows them to connect wirelessly to their phone
	-Smart earpiece that connects her to a general AI companion for directions
	-Neural implant that connects to her Mecho-Companion, Axen

Personality:
Jay is often perceived to be bubbly and naive; She’s playful and aloof more than she is serious. Clinically Speaking, Jay has a bit of Bipolar Disorder, possible PTSD and if she went to the appointments, they’d find out she’s not entirely sane either.
She’s ballsy, impulsive and quick to act. She’s quick to trust and tries to befriend as many people as she can, but also secretly plans ways to bring said people down if they double-cross her.

Defining Trait: Nuts.

Goal:
Jay ultimately wants to explore and help the Startup she’s with grow, to get more people to have Mecho-Companions.

Backstory:
Jay grew up in an orphanage, not knowing who her family really was. She adopted her last name after reading way too many action-adventure novels.
When she got out of school, she went into study to become a Paleontologist; specifically focusing on Dinosaurs and fossils.

She came across the startup; Mechozs.io- Who worked with both Fossils and Technology to create techno-organic robot companions; often shaped like dinosaurs, prehistoric animals or extinct species.
She instantly fell in love with the company and worked hard with them, even making her own little companion; Axen, who was one of the first successful creations of the company.

Due to her involvement, she ended up becoming one of the top ‘workers’ at Mechozs.io; both in exhibitions as well as ‘beast’ creations. Which is where she learnt most of her mechanical knowledge and skills.

Mechapanion AX3.N (Axen)

Description:
Axen is a little archaeopteryx robot replica, made by Mechozs.io; one of the first successful prototypes, and now works alongside Jay. He is completely copper in colour but looks very biological.
He has a slightly more humanoid voice than other Mechacompanions, and is often Sarcastic towards Jay. As much as he’s ‘mean’ to his ‘owner’, he cares for Jay deeply.

Augmentation/Skills:
	-Limited Flight, more like a small hover
	-Camera eyes
	-Internal Computer/Internet Access
	-CDE energy powered Battery
	-Sharp Claws

The thing that makes Axen different from most Mechacompanions, he has an entire full skeleton of an archaeopteryx inside him, while most other Mechacompanions have scrapings of fossils. Bones have been slowly crystallized by the CDE battery and has fused with the mechanical outer shell, rendering him basically a sentient being, but not even Jay knows this.


Mechozs.io, a small Start up who pride themselves in creating Bio-Engineered, Bio-Technology Mechacompanions for explorers and hopefully eventually the public.
They take the bones of Fossilized animals; usually dinosaurs, (But also Prehistoric animals, extinct species) and graph the ‘knowledge’ within the bones with CDE and put it into the internal computers of the Mechanical Shells they make, this gives the Mechacompanions a softer version of the beasts instincts, so they act like proper animals unless programmed otherwise.

Mechozs.io works alongside the Lourve, if they find something considered an artifact; they will let them know to see if they want to go ‘halves’ on the digsite, and the Lourve sends Mechozs.io any bones found from their exhibitions.

They’re currently not well known in everything, but they hope to break out into the public sector soon.
Owner is very easily swayed by money.
