The Maw-The Maw consist of two hardened bone ‘barrels’ embedded in Jings arms , running from the elbows to the palms that function as crude, if obscenely effective, firearms.
Ammunition is produced internally, by two specialized organs hidden just behind the lungs. One separates and crystallizes white blood cells present in his blackblood while the other diffuses fat present in blood to form a volatile propellant. . These bullets react negatively to the physiology of other Onxyians, crystallizing slowly like a cancer. Rapid removal is often the wisest, if more unpleasant choice. Humans, curiously, seem to have no negative reaction to these charges (apart from the normal problems one encounters after being shot.) A full ‘load’ of bullets (approximately 90 standard shots) can be made over the course of a half hour.
Jing favors his right arm for long range, though its distance and power are more comparable to a standard hunting rifle than the high powered military grade snipers carried by many hunters. If force to assign a comparable caliber to it, Jing would estimate it ranges close to a .308
The left arm is favored for short range. While its stopping power is certainly effective(comparable to .357 round), its range leaves a lot to be desired, being only 40 meters at its best.

Jing is a bit of a knight in sour armor. Life in the quarantine zone is hardly a cakewalk(hell, life before it wasn't much worse), but between the ravenous Invalid and mercs from the J.S.D.F its hard for him to believe in the typical spiel of truth, justice and due process. He’s done his best to impose a little civil order in the QZ as he can, picking off packs of Invalids that wander too close to to safe camps or any dangerous Onyxians who do the same. He tends to logic these good deeds away as being entirely practical, killing the Onyxian’s keep the mercs away and killing Invalids helps everyone.

History

Before the bombs dropped, Jing enjoyed the peaceful life of being a rookie detective on Kyushu’s resident police force. Violent crimes were rare on the island, so his services were more typically called in to eliminate foul play in suicide cases. Sure, there was the occasional sick bastard who’d off his wife in the middle of the night with a golf trophy, but in his 4 year tenure as a detective he only worked on a handful of such cases.

Looking back on it, he sometimes wonders if that why the police forced fell so quickly. Its difficult for any force to suddenly lose 75% of its staff and keep order, even more so when that staff turns to eating their former coworkers. What few cops left tried to set up a safe zone for people in the QZ, and it worked for a while, and it seemed like whatever hell had been unleashed would atleast be kept at bay.

Nobody knew what an Onyxian was when the government made them public knowledge, at least not really, but that didn't stop people from blaming them for ‘Armageddon’ (as if any sane creature would wish this kind of hell on anyone). It didnt take long for the witch hunts to start, people needed something, anything, to lynch. Jing couldn't remember how many folks he was forced to detain under suspicion. And he sure as hell didn't want to remember how many he watched get thrown the invalids or how young they were. He sat and watched as the safe zone slowly ate itself, amazed that nobody was trying to stop the madness.

Eventually, there were only a handful of people left. Stand offs became a daily routine, and warding off the invalids became increasingly difficult. After watching former chief of police shoot someone over a day's water ration, he’d had enough. With the only thing worth saving in the base being a couple of pounds of dried and canned food, he took as much as he could carry and left.

Over the next few months he camped all across the QZ, slowly coming into his powers and avoiding other people like the plague (so to speak.). By the time the first hunters made landfall, Jing had enough mastery over his own abilities to traverse across the island with little effort or supplies beyond food. However, not wanting to risk coming under their radar, he keeps low, spending most of the scavenging cigarettes from convenience stores or culling invalid hordes, only risking occasional quick jaunts into human safe zones to steal rations.

Skills
Police training: Jing is an adequate shot and is well versed in the modern martial combative techniques taught to most officers.
Tracking: His time as a detective has given Jing some insight in tracking others down and hiding his own tracks.
Lay of the land: while living alone in the QZ, Jing has had to develop a working mental map of the city, making him difficult to corner. He’s also taken the time to place various safe houses with small ration supplies (almost entirely food. He really needs not much else).

Appearance: Sinthe stands at the height of six feet and weighs around 200 pounds, he has long snow white hair on his head and eyebrows that stops just past his shoulders, Sinthe has two bright green eyes that sometimes glow, he has light brown skin, he has a small nose on his face and no facial hair on his chin or jawline, he has a calm but also hardened look about him, as if he's been around and been in a couple fights and knows how to take care of himself. Sinthe has a mesomorph build looking like he's at his physical peak with his muscles showing clearly from his short sleeved gi, along his arms he has sleeve tribal tattoos.

Sinthe wears what he considers to be simple clothing, he wears a black sleeveless martial arts gi uniform with bright white bandages wrapped around his forearms, knuckles and fingers, on his feet he wears simple boots to protect his feet from debris that could be sticking out of the ground, hanging from the waist band by a simple band of his gi is a shiny badge with a fist on it.

Personality: Sinthe can be a quiet guy who only speaks when he feels obligated to, he's the type of person to call another out on their faults and admit to his own without being a hypocrite, unlike many others he feels weapons are useless and his hands and feet are the most suitable weapons he should use in a fight, but along with his melee only fighting style he uses his magic of fire to add more pain to his punches.

Sinthe isn't the type of person to talk about himself and if asked about where he comes from or where he got the gi from he will instantly say " Don't get too curious about it." Showing that he's very secretive of his past and isn't willing to speak of it in any form no matter how much someone tries to get him to talk about it. But besides the seriousness Sinthe can be friendly towards others he feels aren't harmful towards him and is willing to help people who can't help themselves if they can convince him to help.

Thank you! I generally prefer the 'more is better than less' approach. I wanted to make a character that I knew I would enjoy playing as, one with a unique look and personality to interest myself and other players. Bad RPers make bland characters that they get bored of and then quit their RPs before they even really get going. I also wanted to put more effort into the backstory than none at all; even if the characters don't know the backstory, we as writers do and should, because humans are greatly defined by their experiences. IMO, mystery is all well and good, but a really cool veil won't entertain anyone if there's nothing behind it.

Me personally I like to let my character's actions define them, and let their adventures be their backstory, I like to let others put together the pieces of certain things and not give too much away, but I like your approach as well, you've earned my brownie points.

She can be very headstrong and willing to rush into a fight without thinking about the consequences or how strong her enemy may be, her idea of good fight is punch the enemy several times till they go down even if she was hurt in the process, combined with her powers she would attack constantly not know she could just knock herself out by using her own blood to keep attacking.

Ash is a very athletic person that won't hesitate to show off her body's muscles or show off how athletic she is. She is a very big eater being able to eat several meals and count it as a single meal it's self, she apparently gotten it from her "father's" side of the family. Ash can be very irresponsible towards certain things that people give to her to watch or keep safe, either breaking said item by mistake or losing it somewhere due to negligence or forgetfulness at times.

Ash takes a very heavy handed approach to most problems that get in her way, never usually handling something the simple way, but usually going about the problem the most violent way in the most simple way she sees it. Being a heavy handed hot headed person, Ash isn't much of a smart person, she doesn't know some math that she should know, and is horrible at science and doesn't even bother thinking too much about it.

History
Ash was an only child that lived with her mother in Japan and a drifter of a "father", she knew she wasn't like all the other Japanese kids she went to school with when she grew taller than most of them when she was young, when the other kids figured out that Ash wasn't like them they tried to bully her and call her names.

Sadly for the kids that attempted to bully her, she beat them all up and threw rocks at them eventually getting in trouble with the principle due to hurting the other children, when her mother figured out how aggressive she was towards the other children her mother didn't flip out or even get angry she remained calm and told Ash that she was just like her "father".

While Ash was younger she never really saw her "father" and would always just hear about him most times from her mother, but she would never hear from him or get letters. When Ash was a teenager and still getting in trouble at school for beating up people and defending herself, her mother had met another woman, a Latina or Puerto Rican woman, she was from some country from the ass end of the planet that spoke a different language, Ash's mother was trying to tell Ash that the woman was gonna be her "father" to put it short.

Ash didn't like the idea, it just seemed stupid to her and weird in her mind, she got into an argument with her mother and didn't like the woman that was trying to be her new "father" but instead of handling it calmly and rationally, Ash's mother argued back and nearly suplexed her telling her to deal with it.

Ash did as her mother said and dealt with the new woman living with them, and weirdly enough Ash noticed that she and the latina woman was kinda the same in some ways, they'd put their feet up on furniture, yell at people that would annoy them, would be quick to be violent towards people that pissed them off, and would curse more than a sailor. When Kyushu was attacked and people began turning into Onyxians and Invalids, Ash's mother protected Ash and her new "Father" while they escaped to be somewhere safer on the first days of the attack.

After that day Ash never saw her mother again, the group she was with were a strange bunch of people that she didn't like, Ash decided to leave to find her mother, but as she tried to the Latina tried to stop her and told her to wait for the military to come save them, Ash brushed her off and decided not to listen to her, she wanted to find her mother instead.

When she left the other survivors, Ash gotten a look at the Invalids and the Hunters, and she gotten her first look at an Onyxian fighting against several Hunters, she was surprised by the power and skills the Onyxian man had when he fought against the Hunters single handedly. When he killed off the last Hunter with only his bare hands he turned his attention to Ash who was dumbstruck and awed by the guy's power and skill, he told her to go somewhere safe as the streets are filled with people who are out of their mind and monsters that eat people.

Ash listened to the guy without questioning him, and he patted her on the head before she went back to the others, but when she gotten back shit seemed to hit the fan, her mother had found the group luckily, but everyone was killed by someone, including her mother. As Ash looked through the bodies for anything that could tell her who or what killed everyone, the guy from earlier found her, he followed her and noticed the slaughter that happened, the guy told her that the person that killed everyone had to be an Onyxian based on the wounds that everyone had, Ash turned to him and tried to accuse him of doing it but with no real evidence.

After getting her ass kicked and being restrained by the guy, he told her he could give her the tools she needs for her to get her revenge for who killed her mother, but she would have to help him too. After slowly thinking about it for a couple minutes, she accepted his offer of help and what he actually did was give her a strain of the Onyxian virus with his own blood.

@Spriggs27 Well, my character doesn't have any skill or class so I don't mind that insult to my choice. Maybe a lack of skill or class is why the hunter he took it from is dead, it's not like he bought the gun.

As for having no weapons, he doesn't need them of course, but why wouldn't he pick them up from a corpse?

Edit: Unless you contrive some special effect of the Onyxian virus which makes them unable to use conventional weapons, I'm going to stick to my decision, and if he can't have them at the start I'll just pick up the first guns I can get in the IC. A note on the Desert Eagle, I purposefully chose a gun weaker than Kol's S&W 500, which you didn't have any comment on.

Oh no I'm not saying Onyxians can't, I was just pointing out that your powers could just be better than weapons, I really didn't care if someone wanted a gun and super powers, kinda wish you said he got it from a dead guy first because I would've argued that Japan doesn't sell guns of that size so nice thinking.

Well to be honest with you I don't like KoL having a lot of power in her hands, so that's why I let her have a bigass hand cannon that will shatter her arm when she first use it, why do you think she's not a Co-gm, *Cough* I mean, yeah like I said before shes a merc really so she could've brought it with her on a shitty coach flight to Japan.

Black Blood Recluse: Four arachnid legs project from Jirou's body, usually his back. They have spear-like tips coated in a necrotic venom which are capable of puncturing armored prey, serrated edges for slicing flesh, and can be used to spring away or climb sheer surfaces. They move shockingly fast, and Jirou uses them like extensions of his own body.

When unmasked, Jirou appears to be fairly normal, and some would say easily forgettable. He has short black hair and dark eyes, is of an average height, and does not have any features that stand out.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

When he was younger, before the Onyx virus, Jirou was a shy and unassuming youth. Dedicated to his family, and proving his worth to his father, he diligently pursued his studies in Computer Engineering, hoping to ride the rise in demand for technology majors into a high paying job to support his family and, perhaps, start one of his own. That all changed in 2016. He hasn't been able to make contact with his family since the viruses release, and it is clear that his plans for life have been irrevocably shattered.

Left without his family or anyone he cared about for the intervening years, Jirou has become far more self-reliant than he ever expected to be. You can trust no one in modern Kyushu, and he has taken that mantra to heart, doing everything he can alone and never leaving himself indebted to others. He has discarded his dreams of a luxurious life, and instead turned his diligence into mastering his powers and securing his position in the new world that the island has become. Despite his earlier reservations, he will not hesitate to kill to protect himself from invalids, hunters, or, sometimes, other survivors.

As his confidence in his abilities slowly grows, so too do his ambitions. He has begun to see the potential to turn the island of Kyushu into more than a prison, and is willing to do anything it takes to follow his new path.

H I S T O R Y

When the Onyx Virus was first developed in 2013, Jirou was a young man on his way to studying at a University in Fukuoka. Three years later when the virus struck Kyushu, he had been approaching his final year in that University, and steeling himself for a life dedicated to advancing in his career. Nothing could have prepared that inexperienced young man for the ramifications of the event. One minute he was studying, and the next the casualties rising around him were tantamount to genocide, and all the while the hideous transformations occurring to those around him seemed to have no effect on him.

Then, attacked by invalids, he discovered his powers. He closed his eyes, shielding his face with his arms, and heard more than felt his shirt tear open from behind. Then, when he opened his eyes, his construct was hanging in front of him, dripping black blood. Over the next few years he changed. Embittered by the realization that instead of seeking a cure, his government had opted to exterminate those like him, regardless of the fact that unlike the invalids they were still cognizant citizens. Instead of running and hiding as he once did, he has chosen to make war on the Hunters and wishes to gather other Onyxians to his side.

Despite the risk of discovery by hunters, he has been extorting a community of survivors, providing protection from invalids in exchange for resources and shelter. When unmasked, he blends seamlessly among them.
