About Me

Don't listen to what my profile says, I haven't been here for seven years (or whatever it says). I actually 'joined' on 19th Feb 2015, which makes it almost five years!

I'm not too confident in myself, but I like most of the things I write so I count that as a pass. Even less confident about interacting with people online (how do you read reactions and emotions through only text and know for certain if you haven't actually pissed off the other person or weirded them out or???) but I give it a shot from time to time 'cause I like role playing and that evens out. I've only just gotten back into it after a couple years, though, so I'm taking one RP at a time.

(also hey a somewhat decent description of me instead of a one-liner, that's nice)
Preferences

Fine with most things. More specifically, uncomfortable with smut, incompetent at historical genres (okay I can write it passably with research but I just wanna write and not think too much about it), and totally in love with fantasy, sandbox and slice of life. Granted, fantasy does hand out free headaches with all the rules and things needed to have worldbuilding with solid foundations, but at least you get to describe cool, flashy magic, right?
Others

I love cats. Also a Muslim. Think that's about it.

Gah, sorry for not posting yet! Got caught up on school things. I'll have my post up tomorrow and if not, definitely on Friday.
Ah, ah, me! I'm still here! OwO
Energy Twinkle

Energy simply looked on as her friend started up his fire magic. Rhys seemed pleased that he still had his magic - didn't he notice that they had never lost it in the first place? - but Energy wasn't comforted by it. It didn't matter if they had magic or not, they were still humans. Humans had magic and none of them had survived the forest that housed their dragon clan. It honestly didn't matter how strong their magic was, the animals in the forest, particularly the more ferocious ones, were averse to the magic frequency of humans and strength didn't matter when one was faced with hostility of an entire forest. No one could possibly face such adversaries without tiring out their magic energy.

Plus, their inferior physical forms as humans didn't help matters. Energy, for once, was thinking about their current situation. They could fend off any offending creatures that came their way - speaking of which, she could hear plenty more snuffling around their area, having sensed their new human magic frequencies - but then they'd have to run as fast as they could out of the forest. Energy hated having to run from her own home like that but she seriously doubted that they could last any longer than the average human stranded there.

"Hey Rhys, do you happen to know the way outta this forest?" she asked, a hint of nervousness finding its way into her voice. Her ears were picking up the sounds of the nearing jaguar's paws crunching on the leaf litter of the forest. That was definitely not good. And by the sounds of it, it had brought its mate as well. "Oh, two on two, eh? Is that how it's going to be?" She took another two steps back in anticipation.

Then the ground beside her shifted.

A second later, Energy would swear that she had definitely not been startled by a python hidden amongst the fallen leaves and dirt. Neither had she let out a startled squeal and fallen on her butt again. Nope. If she had, it was all her human body's fault for being so scared of a snake. Unfortunately, her not-surprised-tumble had only caused the two jaguars that had been stalking towards them for the past few minutes to leap onto two of the buttress roots that surrounded them, growling and snarling down at the two humans. Frantically scrambling away from the snake that had started slithering towards her, she got up yet again (seriously, she had to stop falling around like that) and hurriedly walked over to Rhys' side, scroll still in hand. She was actually beginning to doubt her maybe unwise choice in pilfering the spell scroll from her parents' cave. Being a dragon certainly helped a lot more in this kind of situation.

As for the jaguars, the light and heat from Rhys' flames only served to aggravate them further. They snapped their jaws, hackles rising. They didn't like the magic frequency coming from these humans. Just like all the other humans, they did nothing but intrude into their territory. They were nothing more than pests with a little bit of magic.

"So, got a plan?"

Tag: The Guy With An Earpiece

About: The real world, to Jacob, is uninteresting. He doesn't have a problem with it really, it just feels like the same cycle everyday to him. Everything is calm and nothing really seems to surprise him any more. So he loses himself in books and music, with the occasional cup of mocha in hand. Since it's difficult to do that with two other rumbustious siblings in the house, he often goes to the local library to do so. The people there don't allow food or drinks though so he usually has his cup of mocha with his books and music on days when his siblings happen to be out with their friends or stuck at school. Aside from his studies and the time that he hangs out with his friends, that's pretty much his life. His parents are too busy working or arguing with one another to do much more than keep their children in line.

Jacob himself is a 17-year-old teenager, halfway through his first polytechnic year, with shaggy brown hair and gangly long legs. His typical attire would be denim jeans and a bright-coloured undershirt with a maroon hoodie, sleeves all rolled up. A chilled, laid-back guy, he would rather please the people around him than get into a pointless argument. That doesn't mean he's a doormat. Under stress, he can get explosive but he cools down quickly and will apologise if he needs to. Jacob doesn't mind taking the role of peacemaker whenever an argument comes up but take it too far and he'll throw in the towel and back off. Being far-sighted, Jacob needs his reading glasses to, well, read. He doesn't like using them as they tends to give him mild headaches but his music has always been soothing enough to make them bearable.
Heheh, feel free to go nuts with the guy. XD
Alright, I'm finally done with my form. Sorry for taking so long! ^_^"

Energy Twinkle

Scroll in hand, Energy looked up at Rhys, only to see him troubled.

"What's wrong?" she asked, getting up on her feet once more. This time, her body did little more than sway and she was pleased, now that she was becoming accustomed to balancing on two legs. It wasn't that bad, really, now that she thought about it. Or maybe she was being optimistic. Energy could still barely walk after all. "But hey, at least I'm not falling on my butt again."

A sudden shrill squawk rang through the air. Now, being a dragon - or used to be - who's lived all her life in an ancient rainforest, Energy was unperturbed by this, merely glancing up at the toucan, settled on one of the lower branches above them, which had let out the abrupt call. However, as more birds answered it, she was growing aware of the wildlife surrounding them, now that the magic and dragons that normally scared them off were gone. Birds called out to one another, occasionally flying overhead. Crickets chirped and whatever insects hidden in the undergrowth were back to crawling around. Small critters ran around in the foliage, not at all disturbed by the two strange humans standing around.

There was a reason that no human traveller that ventured through the forest ever came back out. Well, other than the dragons, that was.

Goosebumps rose on Energy's skin. If there was one thing she knew about their home, it was that being inside it as a human never ended well. Especially as humans who barely knew how to walk, let alone run. Taking a step back, her ears flicked as she picked up the distant sound of a jaguar growling. That wasn't good. Funny, usually she would've picked up its scent. The human nose really must be inferior to a dragon's. They should probably get out of the forest.
Energy Twinkle

Energy blinked in response, the wheels in her brain turning as she registered what he just said.

"Oh. Sorry!" she grinned apologetically, letting go of her shirt, allowing it to cover the two apparent taboo appendages. Standing up again, with her arms held out on either side for balance, she took a cautious step forward, determined to master the art of walking on two legs. Much to her joy, she didn't fall over, instead wobbling and maintaining her balance. On a side note, it felt as though she was a hatchling again, learning to walk once more. Why couldn't humans just use all four of their limbs? It was so much more easier, she reasoned with herself. Taking another step forward, Energy inwardly cheered at the accomplishment of walking two paces in her new human body.

"Hey, I think I'm getting the hang of this!" she said brightly, her ever present grin flashing at Rhys. It was then she noticed the torn scroll on the floor, not too far from where they had landed when falling off the giant root. A thoughtful look came over her expression and she took a few more wobbly steps towards the scroll, landing on her knees when she reached it. It was still unsealed, the magic from it steadily coursing in and out of the scroll due to the lack of a caster to wield it. Furrowing her brows, she rolled it up tight and, focusing her own magic onto it, she resealed it with a simple magical lock. As she did so, her pale sky blue eyes flashed a deep, vivid blue, which vanished as soon as she was done. Unaware of what her eyes had done, she smiled at the sealed scroll.

"Can't leave this out here, can we?" she murmured to herself. Having nowhere else to place it on her person, she decided to simply hold it instead.
So, uh, hi guys.

I'd like to join? =D
Energy Twinkle

"Yay!" cheered Energy as soon as she heard Rhys say, "Fine". Throwing a fist into the air, she whooped and turned before attempting to run on instinct. It turned out to be a bad idea for she had only taken two steps before losing her balance and falling flat on her stomach. The only thing that stopped her face from introducing itself to the ground was her hands slapping onto the dirt.

"Ow." Quickly recovering herself, Energy rolled over, pushing herself up into a sitting position. Her palms stung from slapping the grass and dirt and goodness knew what was on the forest floor but for some reason her chest had hurt more. Now that she thought about it, her chest also felt heavier. Raising her eyebrow, she lifted her shirt and was surprised to find her chest...well-developed, shall we say. Intrigued, she poked one of the strange fleshy humps with a finger and it was weirdly soft, wobbling slightly as she did so. Confused, Energy looked up at Rhys with her shirt still lifted up.

"Hey Rhys, what are these?"
