To her disappointment, Wincent didn't seem to be paying her any attention whatsoever. He was staring very intently at some of the group she had just left, An expression on his face that gave the impression of a pony that had just fallen Head over hooves for somepony... Or a stallion that had seen one of his favorite players from hoofball. Before she could pick out exactly who the green Pegasus was looking at, Timmey very excitedly responded to her greeting, giving her a salute that distracted Rain from her search.

"that's right. But you can just call me Rain." The mare said after his initial greeting, blue eyes crinkling up at the corners with her smile. Slowly, the expression began to falter as the words kept coming out of the colt's mouth, A blush beginning to creep into her face at the obvious admiration in his voice. "Oh, umm... Well, thank you. That's very nice of you to say." She took another drink of punch to distract herself from saying anything else, settling on giving Tim a warm smile that hopefully hid some of her embarrassment.

Glancing away as Timmey began attempting to get Vince's attention, Rainy Day noticed A dark blue stallion Pegasus glance and her direction with bright orange eyes, Clearly curious. But before she could offer him any sort of greeting, Wincent seemed to snap out of whatever stupor he had fallen into and finally asked her if she was enjoying the party. A little wary about the return of his earlier agitation, Rain hesitated for a moment before she turned her attention to the other Pegasus, studying his expression for a moment before she offered her own smile. "this has been a lot of fun. I wasn't expecting such a big ordeal to be made over me moving here." She admitted, looking out over the crowd of ponies, the balloons, the brightly painted banner...

Anna was literally bouncing in her seat across from him as he had tried his first bite. Her excitement was rather endearing. But as her soft brown eyes had open once again to gauge his reaction after she had so thoroughly enjoyed a bite of her own pizza, Cinead was disappointed as she pouted, discerning his lack of enjoyment for the food. She was far more perceptive than he gave her credit. "The food is fine. It's just not what I was expecting..." He started out, tilting the slice of pizza still in his hand. Then he tried a little more honesty. "i'm not the biggest fan of tomato. I wasn't expecting there to be sauce." He admitted, even as he took another bite. "i'll finish it, but I hope the other slice is more to my liking."

Settling back into the cushion of the booth for a moment as he waited for the pounding of his heart to slow down, Cinead finally looked across the table at Anna and was surprised to find her smiling at him. She even thanked him for his interference. All at ones, his worry was wiped away and his expression softened considerably. A gentle smile touched at his lips, But before he could say much on the matter, she had gone back to encouraging him to try the pizza. That was going to be something that he really liked about her, the way Anna didn't linger on unpleasant situations. "Plain slice first. Got it." He acknowledged, his voice still somewhat husky. Obediently scooping up the appropriate slice of pizza, Cin scrutinized it for a few seconds before taking his first bite. He almost, almost, wrinkled his nose. He could handle bread, even cheese was acceptable, but he didn't like the tomato sauce that they seemed to have put between the two substances. Overall, it was... tolerable. Just in case something of his dislike was him to that, he forced himself to take another bite, feigning enjoyment.

At first, his hesitation had made Cami fear The worst. He understood that she was inexperienced now and she could almost read in his face his understanding that she would most likely fail. But before she could square her jaw and lift her chin in defiance, his response came, catching her off guard slightly. But his agreement to help eventually coaxed a wide smile onto her face, Crinkling up the corners of her eyes in a similar way as she remembered her grandfather doing. "sounds like the start of a good working relationship." She said, finally sliding her purse off of her shoulder and setting it on top of the box she had placed on the table. "but please, don't call me ma'am. That just makes me feel old. You can call me Camilla, or Cami. I don't think I ever caught your name." She stepped forward, offering a hand.

Jealousy. Cinead was finally able to put a name to the emotion. And the result caused him to blink with surprise, the glare melting off his face. He had only ever heard of the emotion, read about it in books. He had never expected to actually feel jealousy burning within him... The surprise was abruptly pushed aside as the man behind the counter very blatantly began flirting with Anna as soon as she started her order. The remainder of his surprise was burned away as if by fire as the jealous feeling returned in full force. A part of him was aware of Anna's rejection, and that made him happy, but that somehow didn't stop him from moving up beside her and giving the man another full-fledged glare.

The cashier had just started to say, "Oh, come on. Don't be like that gorgeous." when he finally noticed Cinead and glanced up, blanching at the expression on the taller man's face.

"she said no." Cinead nearly growled, his voice coming out even deeper than usual, the Welsh accent thick. "I recommend you cut your losses and back down now before something bad happens." His eyes burned momentarily like molten gold as he stared down the human, unable to stop himself from interfering. "now, before things get out of hand, why don't you add a slice of your meat pizza to that order and give me the total. Then go get the food."

The man blinked several times, shrinking back from Cin before hastily pressing a few more buttons on the cash register and stammering the new total. Cinead deliberately concentrated on reaching for his wallet, extracting the exact amount and setting it on the counter. The cashier fumbled as he hurried to pick it up, shoving it into the cash register and printing out the receipt. He shoved it across the counter at Cin before retreating into the kitchen. He hadn't returned by the time another worker came out with a tray that had three slices of pizza on it and a plastic cup with a lid on it, obviously their order. She seemed oblivious to the incident that had taken place not too long ago and set down the food on the counter with a cheerful smile. "enjoy your lunch."she said happily before retreating back into the kitchen.

Picking up the tray, Cinead stepped away from the counter, heading towards a table in the next room. He didn't quite have the nerve to look at Anna yet, fearing her reaction. His anger had led him to over react, he knew it, but he hadn't been able to stop himself. He had let his anger take control of him. That wasn't something he had felt for a long time.

Pausing with the little bottle of aspirin partially pulled from her bag as she finally received a reaction, Risa adopted a look of sympathetic concern at the explanation of brief but intense headaches. She had very little experience with headaches herself, but she knew her mother suffered with frequent migraines. The idea of having overwhelming pain to the point where it made every other action near impossible sounded miserable. But Madison seemed to recover quickly, even revealing her name at last, and didn't except the offer of painkillers. Nodding her head in acknowledgment, Risa let the bottle drop back into the depths of her bag, readjusting The backpack into a more comfortable position once again.

"i'm glad to hear that they don't linger." She said sincerely, turning to walk alongside Maddie down the hallway once again. "and I'm glad we ran into each other. Literally." She added with a slightly embarrassed giggle.

Finding their lockers wasn't as much of a challenge as they had been expecting, The cafeteria within sight as Maddie pointed out their numbers sandwiched in between what looked like a trophy case and the door of a classroom. Breathing a momentary sigh of relief, Risa twisted The dial on the lock to the number she had memorized the day before, relieved when the locker opened easily. She deposited her jacket but not much else, she didn't have any textbooks yet, and quickly shut the door again, spinning the dial before turning back towards Madison.

The two Took a few moments to compare their schedules, holding them side-by-side. Risa Felt a twinge of disappointment as they quickly discovered that they only shared one class, gym. And that wasn't until the end of the day. At least she had lunch to look forward to. With so few students, it didn't make sense to have multiple lunches. "well, looks like I'll be seeing you at lunch. Good luck." She offered, waving her hand before briefly consulting her schedule once again and turning her steps in the direction of her first class.

Calculus was bound to be an interesting way to start off her day. Risa didn't particularly mind math, but it wasn't her favorite subject. She preferred the sciences and anything having to do with art and music. Unfortunately for her, Forks wasn't big enough to have many extracurricular classes, especially not those that involved the purchasing of musical equipment or supplies for an art class. Still, she would make do with biology, Her class directly after lunch, And expand her artistic cravings at home. Despite being one of several new students, she was stopped frequently on her way to calculus, the regular students quite excited buy a new face. She smiled politely, participated in a little chatting, but frequently had to remind the other students that she didn't want to be late for class. She was surprisingly worn out by the time she did get to the classroom and Risa wearily made her way to the front of the classroom, giving her teacher, Mr. Birdy, A piece of paper that the woman in the office had asked her to get signed by all of her teachers. He gawped A little, but made quick work of putting his signature on the paper and handing it back, indicating a seat that she could take in the second to last row. With a small smile for the man, she quickly made her way over to her new desk, sliding into it and pulling out a notebook, pencil, and a couple of extra erasers.

Just his luck, Jasper had to have two of the new students in his calculus class that morning. Not completely surprising, considering how few students there actually were, but he wished it had played out differently. The second of the new students, a girl with Japanese features, Had been directed to a seat very near to his own, only separated from him by one other person. He could feel her nervousness, anxiety, fatigue, excitement, and trepidation like a tangible cloud, mirroring the other new student who had been placed on the other side of the classroom. Her arrival had sparked a renewal of excitement and curiosity from the regular students, a distinctive attraction coming off of the boys and a few stamps of jealousy or condescension from the girls. Jasper momentarily had to fight off yet another wave of temptation to simply soothe the room around him, Closing his bright golden eyes for several seconds as he waited for the peak in the emotions to calm down.

And on top of the raging emotions, he couldn't help but feel the heat rippling off of the bodies around him, hear the pounding of hearts and the sound of blood moving through veins. To distract him from thinking about the temptation of satiating his ever present thirst, Jasper concentrated on what he had felt from Edward earlier, worked on picking apart the emotions that he felt. But this exercise did him no good. He had no idea what had caused such anxiety and his brother. Not having a source or explanation brought back his frustration and Jaz opened his eyes once again only to narrow them slightly with annoyance. Finally making up his mind, he slipped a cell phone from one of his pockets, flipping it open and quickly typing out a message and sending it to Edward.

For a brief moment, Aeylisia had unconsciously stiffened at his use of the word princess when addressing her. Did this man know who he shared the company of?But as Shade continued on to ask her about the formality of her speech with a sarcastic emphasis, she realized that he had merely been using the title as a jest. Her shoulders relaxed, but she worried that he would discover the truth that he had so unwittingly struck upon. "this is the way I was taught to speak your language... My people have not come in contact with your race for so long, we didn't know that there was a more informal way of speaking." She found herself grumbling in response. It wasn't her fault that humans had such a complex language. Her native tongue was much easier to use.

Placing her chin against one of her forearms and unconsciously tightening both of her hands into fists, Aeylisia pointedly ignored the man's comment about his ability to have gone to her other side in favor of giving him easier access to her wound. Moving again would only cause her further pain, Not something she was willingly going to cause, so she stayed where she was. A light flinch jerked through her body as Thatcher finally touched her injured leg, an instinctive reaction she couldn't suppress, but she did manage to bite back the groan of pain that wanted to follow as she felt him gently wiping at the jagged cuts.. His next comment was a sufficient distraction from her pain and Aeylisia willingly focused on it, despite the statement's lack of the feel of being directed at her.

"We do heal quickly. But deeper cuts still take a few days to sufficiently close... I am unaware of the healing rate of humans though, so I am unable to make a proper comparison." She managed to get out, though the words were slightly muffled, having come out through partially gritted teeth.

She was still braced from the pain of his first contact, so Aeylisia was able to collect her thoughts enough to resist flinching a second time when Shade spoke of something making her injury sting, his words accompanied by the sound of splashing liquid. She resisted the temptation to look back over her shoulder to see what he was doing as he then press something cool to her skin. Additional pain prickled through her leg, The sensation uncomfortable, tempting her to pull her leg away, but the elf fought off the desire, biting into her lower lip as she squeezed her eyes closed, forcing herself to wait for the promised sensation of numbness.
