Element/AbilitiesFauna. Etienne has little traditional practice in this area, though one could figure that perhaps Etienne's popularity and general sociability is his natural talent to understand peoples moods and react accordingly. Who knows? As for the animal part, he's a soft hand and a kind voice, it's easy to make friends with the beast people this way. But no, he's little control or true practice.
In-Depth AppearanceEtienne as always been considered a handsome lad, with sandy blonde hair cut short on the sides and curled and long on top. Bright blue eyes framed by girlishly thick lashes contrast with a soft mouth and sharp smile. While never owning what one would consider lavish clothes, he dresses well for a boy of his means, sturdy trousers of reliable materials, worn certainly but not dirty or torn, with equally practical and well fitted shirts and vests. It’s clear he takes pride in his appearance and never seems shabby or unkempt.

Biggest FearDrowning has always been a concern for Etienne. When he was little he fell into a stream, and would have been swept away beneath the current were it not for a passerby pulling him out. The feel of the water pulling him under, the weight and the cold pressing on his chest, the air bursting in his lungs…It haunts him. And after this initial dunk Etienne never tried to learn to swim. Avoiding any water too deep to cross by foot or too swift in current his entire life, Etienne will take the longer, more difficult route if it means avoiding the drink.
PersonalityEtienne is charming, handsome, thinks himself funny, quick to laugh and to make light of any situation. It is almost impossible to get him to behave overly serious or stern, and often times this makes him seem roguish or childlike. Still he is a hard worker and while uneducated is by no means slow. His attendance for the Destined is good natured interest and curiosity. Never did he spend much time brooding over the mark on his wrist, but if it is real and he might have a Destined mate… Why not find out? At the very least the festivities are sure to be fun.
BackgroundNot everyone has particularly interesting histories, and Etienne would fall into that category. Born into a common family, with parents who lived their lives the best they could and put food on the table for their children. Etienne was the youngest of the brood and the only one with a mark, his older siblings making their way into the world by the time Etienne was 12, he had the house to himself. Being creative and clever he found ways to stay out of trouble but still have fun, becoming quickly and easily popular with the other neighborhood children, his easy smile and bright laugh turning many who would be foes into allies instead.
Starting to work with his father around the same time that his other older siblings left the ‘nest’ Etienne enjoyed the time on the road, learning about more than his little home and his little neighborhood. To see the world and all the different people in it. There was a freedom in that.
And so Etienne takes the carting jobs, even if the pay isn’t want it used to be, and enjoys his time in new towns and on the road. A simple life but a good one.
