Why do people say "Tuna Fish sandwich"? That's like saying "Chicken Bird sandwich."

Bio

I never know what to put in these things. I'm just a guy who likes making stories. If I'm not roleplaying, I'm writing my own stuff or just creating random characters. I'm particularly fond of superheroes but I also really like character driven stuff and tend to dive into the details of a character. No character can be too detailed as far as I'm concerned.

Hmm, actually train Jackson like he's paid to do?

....I maaaay have forgotten about that. Where is Jackson anyway?
Boy, Nate really needs to do something. So far he's just sneaked around and been a general creep.
"Quite a show" came a voice from a nearby room. Nate wandered out from Olivia's bedroom as Eli began to make himself comfortable. He had made his way here while Eli was busy with his target practice. He had used the time to snoop around Olivia's place. Flipping through her magazines, raiding her fridge and even jumping on her bed for a moment or two. Anyone who had seen him would think him an immature jackass and, to an extent, he was. But he had also used his snooping to get a better picture on who this Olivia person was. What kind of idiot walked into the underground movement's base and confronted the high and mighty Isabella Lancaster and expected to come out without a scratch. Well Olivia had certainly come out with more than a scratch. She had come out with a bullet wound and a war.

That kind of thing worried Nate. Sure, he had been reckless in the past but never when something truly important was on the line. But recklessness seemed to be quite the trend around here. First Olivia wanders into the dragons den and then Cedric follows her and almost gets himself killed. He hated to admit it but his first impressions of the reformists weren't great. But then he had never really been fond of those in power.

Tossing an apple from hand to hand, Nate addressed Eli with a smile. "This place is great" he said "There's alarms going off and people fighting, anger and angst and fiery weirdos shooting things out of the sky" He motioned with his fingers like he was a gunslinger and added "Who needs a movie!?" After taking a bite from his apple, he said with a full mouth "And you should see some of the things the princess has in there" He motioned over his shoulder with a thumb and let out a small laugh. He knew there would be hell to pay if anyone found out he had been snooping but it had been worth it. For sheer entertainment value alone.

The reformists are too good and the Underground Movement are too bad! If Eden is meant to have a completely unbiased viewpoint then surely he'd see the problems in the Reformists such as Elijah Craigh! If I was Eden, I wouldn't want to choose the hand that I'm the pawn of; I'd rather be not aligned with any group that wishes to use my powers for their own advantage, which the Reformists plan to do!

Agreed. He should be unbiased, at least to start with. If both sides have to put across their argument and then convince him to join them, it makes for a much more compelling story.
I feel I should point out that while Jake has a healing factor, it's currently impaired by the glass shards embedded in his skin, preventing his wounds from healing over. Anyone who removed that glass, however, would realize that he's a meta when the wounds start to heal.
Why had he decided to play hero? This was such a hassle. Jake continued to drag the psycho through the streets, despite bleeding from several open wounds. He sure hoped he could get that glass out. A difficult task when you don't have hands. Maybe he could get the reformists to get it out for him. By that point the thought of getting help with his own wounds was the only thing that prevented Jake from just leaving Damien's carcass in the middle of the street. He wasn't sure if anyone at his destination would help just any old injured dog that showed up but surely they would have to help the hero dog who dragged an injured meta to their doorstep...He sure hoped so. His wounds would never heal properly if that glass wasn't removed.

Despite the odd nature of a dog dragging an unconscious man through the streets, no one seemed to stop him. He had a feeling most people were preoccupied with the New Sun building collapsing nearby. Although a few people did stop at least briefly to take a photo of the strange scene. Jake only grumbled to himself and continued on his way. Finally he caught sight of his destination. The Reformist Council building. It stood like some kind of massive monument on the land, all shiny and pretty. Jake only rolled his eyes at the thought of the reformists' pomposity, his head going slightly with the movement as he did. Was this building supposed to represent something? The importance of metahumanity? Jake had little time for people who had to use massive symbols like this to display their own importance...But then Jake didn't have much time for people in general.

The final stretch. Jake pushed on towards the main doors, Damien still in his chops. The dog began to feel a twitch in one of his forelegs as he got closer to the doors. Damn it. One of the glass shards had worked it's way into his muscles. Progressively starting to limp, the dog persevered until he reached the doors and realised he could walk no further. He dropped the humans limb from his mouth and slumped forward into a heap. His face was pressed pathetically against one of the glass doors looking into the main lobby and he could see people moving about inside. He had lost so much blood from his wounds and was so weak that he could only muster a small whimper.

So close.

I'm pretty sure Nate and Eli are going to become the best of friends eventually.

I smell a bromance.
It seemed tough old Eli's thick skin didn't extend to his momma. For a moment Nate thought about calling him on the hypocrisy of his earlier statement about Nate's sister but it probably wouldn't get him anywhere. Eli was clearly living in his own little world of perceived right and wrong and apparently in that world it was ok to set a drug addled girl on fire just because she said something about your mother.

Eli's next plan was one Nate was much more comfortable getting on board with. Their earlier plans for fried chicken had been derailed and Nate could feel his stomach rumbling. He looked to the unconscious Olivia on the bed and thought about whether or not he should go check in with the boss. Cedric had run out of the pretty quickly when he had gotten an alert. Nate was sure one of his 'brothers' would be sure to check in though so he shifted his attention back to Eli. Someone had to keep an eye on the douchetard anyway. With a shrug of his shoulders and resigning himself to babysitting duty, he informed Eli "Sure, why not"

If your okay with it then all we can do is respect your wishes and hope Owlman rests in peace. I'll miss him but this is your choice.

Alright I accept it but have to say I would prefer that he stay around.
@Gentlemanvaultboy I refuse to accept any kind of owl related death. He's the best character in this story....Although it would make for an interesting story hook if the underground movement were to get there hands on Owlman and he needed rescued...Or have we had our fill of rescue missions?
