That's good! I hope it goes well though!

Omg they are just so cute, I can't wait for the heartbreak though and then building the trust again :3
Oh how lovely! I hope you had a good time though!

Oh yikes that sucks! I'm glad you got most of it done though! Nothing worse than trying to do stuff last minute so I completely understand!
Pale fingers had taken hold on a book, the book itself was on the royal family of Morganythian and its lords and ladies. Elise felt it was a good idea to understand the history, the families that all supported their king, but before she could open it or even settled down to the read the door had opened forcing her to look around to see none other than him walking inside. What is he doing here? Surely not looking for me, I hope. However, as Elise began to think on what could have brought the King to the library, she felt her anger rise at his words of greeting.

Oh… it’s you?

Charming, absolutely charming who the hell does he think he is? Its you? I am not some peasant, not a spy to assassinate him. How insulting.

There was a fire in her blue orbs as she looked at him, fingers gripping the book so hard in her hand it was trembling slightly. “Apologies, I did not realise I was to stay confined to my room seeing as I am already confined to the palace.” Words spoken through gritted teeth as she glanced down at the book in her hands calming herself from the anger, she had felt moments before. I must compose myself; he probably enjoys seeing me react in such a way, relishes in my anger and unhappiness here.

Standing tall and proud Elise was dressed in a fine gown that any royal Princess would wear, it had a beautiful black lace trim and sat off of her shoulders, the only catch was that it was black and it contrasted against her pale skin. Black a colour often seen in mourning, but Elise thought it was fitting as she was mourning her freedom, her impending marriage and being bound to a warlord that clearly disliked her as much as she did him. There was nothing they would have in common, but words of Lady Cheldarine came to mind from the feast. He could make a good husband. No, nonsense. He is a king, he doesn’t need a romance, we are not destined to have love in this cruel game of power.

Looking him up and down she could see he was dressed simply, no armour to show the power he held but there were still weapons sat at his belt just in case something should happen. It was strange to see him like this, it made him look like a normal person not a King with the weight of a country on his shoulders and a distasteful marriage to sort out. Feeling her anger diminish as he stepped in making conversation, she looked at the book in her hands feeling a little embarrassed for her earlier remark and anger at his greeting.

Smiling as she looked around the room at the vast number of shelves adorned with books, scrolls and ancient texts she nodded. “It is quite the collection; you must be proud of it. This has to be years, no centuries worth of information at your fingertips.” Glancing back to the book that was clasped in her hands she held it up slightly, “I thought I’d start with this, it’s only polite to learn about those who graciously host me here. Lady Cheldarine has been wonderful as have my ladies.” It was no lie, the ladies although spying on her had been nothing but lovely as well as Lady Cheldarine.

Hesitating before she spoke her next words she frowned ever so slightly, a part of her didn’t want to ask but then if anyone would know it would be him. Blue eyes downcast as a flash of worry passed through them unsure on how he would react “I don’t suppose… you have heard anything from Eorzia?” Tentatively asking as she spoke her home county name, her father had yet to write to her and it had been a week. Even her brother hadn’t and a part of her had hoped that maybe he had her letters, perhaps they had to be read before she was able too and at first she had been annoyed at the thought but now she just wished there was something. It was hard not to feel alone whilst here in enemy land not knowing anyone and the idea of her family not writing made her feel as if she had been exiled for them. Sold away like nothing.
Ohhh nice! Are you doing anything for it?

I had a lot of fun writing that hahaha
Ethan had sat on the sofa watching as Iris slept, a part of him wondered if she really was resting or if she was thinking on what had happened. It was hard not to be jealous of her, frowning as he looked down at his clenched fist. Could she have had a fresh start? A better chance in life? No… she would have regained her memories, that King would have no trust in her she’d be a prisoner. I did the right thing by telling her, assisting her true memories back. However, a part of his brain nagged at him, gnawed at the possibility she had been happy without him. No, I’m not jealous of that pompous prince. All he has is money, she would only be with him for money.

Thoughts turned into spiteful ones as he tried to convince himself that his girlfriend, well debatable at the moment would have only liked the Prince for his money. Sadly, Ethan knew it was not true, deep down he knew that she did not like people for wealth, but for who they were. I wonder why she was with me then, probably to appease her father. I was always his favourite. Shaking his head as he unclenched his fist, he dragged his fingers through his hair sighing heavily, he knew he needed to rest but he was in danger. They were in danger.

I hope he was worth it.

Settling back into the sofa as he closed his own eyes, thoughts swirling on how he would never be good enough. Not compared to the Prince she was clearly entranced by. It was an uneasy sleep, but enough for him not to stir when Iris finally woke from her little slumber.

--

It had been a few hours and Iris was quite happy with the fact she had rested, even if it had been a little it was better than nothing and already, she felt more human. Sighing to herself as she saw Ethans slumped form on the couch she could hear the light snores coming from him signalling that he was asleep, now is probably a good time to feel a bit more human, I guess. If anyone had come in and seen him, I’m sure I’d be in a cell right now, so I hope we are safe even if it’s just for now.

Rubbing her tired blue eyes, she caught sight of her pale hands, colour had not yet returned to her skin which worried her a little. Another of her memories that had returned was around her mother and how her skin would pale before she fell ill for a few days, whether it meant the same for her she did not know but falling ill on top of everything that was happening would not be good. I can’t fall ill, not whilst in danger. I can’t afford the healthcare either… Biting her lip as she moved from the bed hobbling to the bathroom, she had decided that taking a shower would surely help uplift her spirits.

It hadn’t taken long, and Iris emerged from the bathroom dressed in fresh clothes, scents of fresh florals surrounded her as she felt more herself. Limping ever so slightly as she came into the room using the towel to dry her hair, she felt herself wince when she heard a knock at the door. Thankfully that had seemingly woken up Ethan who was already rushing to hide once more in the wardrobe to avoid getting caught. He was so alert even though he had been resting that she could only assume that was down to the fact he could still sense the danger.

Moving forward when Ethan was safely hidden away, she opened the door to her room and couldn’t help but beam when she saw Cas standing there. Iris was in a nice pair of jeans and a soft white fluffy jumper that looked soft and warm, she looked cosy as well as comfortable more dressed down that was the prince was currently wearing. Standing at the doorway Iris was still drying her hair with the towel which emitted a soft lavender scent between them. Oh wow… look at him. Professional… handsome. No wonder he has all the girls swooning over him… I’m swooning right now.

“Ahh… C-Cas!” Stuttering slightly as her cheeks flushed deep crimson as she realised, she had just been staring at him. I probably looked like an idiot… a stupid girl ogling him. Idiot! Berating herself as she moved to the side to allow him entrance to her room, she could feel her heart racing slightly at the fact she had felt the attraction towards him as well as feeling embarrassed he would have seen her staring at him. "How are you... eh feeling now?" Chuckling nervously as she tried to calm down the crimson blush on her cheeks.

It was hard to settle let alone rest, she was stuck in a continuous loop of her memories and what she should be doing. What was the right thing to do? It felt awkward knowing that Ethan was there in the room with her, of course he would never do anything, but she felt like she didn’t know him which was absurd as she was allegedly dating him. Never had she felt so broken on the fact she couldn’t fully recall her past and the parts she had remembered had not come in use, in fact it had only made things more difficult.

What if he?... Oh… Shifting about in the bed as she tried to force her eyes shut, pretend like she was sleeping or resting for that matter. If I go back, will I remember my feelings for Ethan? Will they come back? Will I forget him, Cas? Feeling her stomach churn at the thought of the Prince she knew she had budding feelings for him; she knew she liked him and as much as she tried to hide it from Ethan he knew. Iris was sure he knew about her feelings; she knew it was already having an effect between them, but she couldn’t just get over someone just like that. Ethan had to understand right? However… my father wouldn’t.

...

Regis was stood in their home, his appearance clear as day in her memory than it had been before with the few snippets that had returned. He was sat at the table grumbling over something from the paper, she was stood in the doorway watching him. “What are you standing there for? Make yourself useful and make breakfast or something.” Tired eyes skimmed through the paper as he forcefully flicked through the pages, “Stupid Atlas, more taxes on the poor? May as well just call it slavery at this rate. Bloody Kings and their selfishness… what I wouldn’t give to be King for a day.”

Hearing his grumbles as in the memory she moved forward to the kitchen to make them some food, opening the fridge to be met with quite the smell and food that had clearly gone off. It was pretty much empty apart from the odd key items like milk (although it looked on the turn,) cheese and some sort of off coloured meat. Closing the fridge, she reached out for the bread and placed a few slices in the toaster, the bread was stale but cooking it would at least make it bearable to eat. “Are you going to work today?”

“Work? I am working. This rebellion doesn’t keep itself running.”

“It’s just that, we need to get some more food. I thought maybe you could go to work for a bit? Collect that paycheck…”

“Tch, I ain’t going to work.” Regis slammed the paper down on the table before rising to his feet. “You bring home the food, I’m sorting the rebellion. The lads have a few ideas on how to sneak in. Cause some trouble.” Grinning as he reached for his coat putting it on, “Ethan called for you, said he was sorry over something stupid. You should give him another chance it was probably you overreacting anyway, he’ll provide for you and you’ll have an alright future. I like him. I’ve invited him and the boys over for tea.” Winking at his daughter as he gave her the thumbs up before leaving.

...

Am I picturing him in a different light? Because I’ve seen the other side. Sure, I know the rebellion is a good cause and the meaning for it is pure but somehow it just doesn’t feel like that with him anymore. No, I’m being stupid. My father loves me, he only wanted the best. It’s this place and everything that’s happening that is confusing me… I should really get some sleep. Trying to settle some more Iris felt herself dosing off, finally getting that rest she desperately needed after the events of last night and today letting the hours flow by as she fell into the light slumber.
