If it’s out of your hands, then it deserves freedom from your mind too.

If it is not for you then I will hold no grudges. But I do expect my players to read all the posts. If anyone misses an important detail I shall let them know.
--DOUBLE POST ALERT-- HIDE YOUR KIDS.

Military information added to 1st post.

Millennium Information added to 3rd post.

Character Creation -- Soon , it's 4am and I'm tired. Until Tomorrow Ladies!
Posting happens in rounds (Reasonably).
I will post - then everybody else will post.

Once everybody posts I will start another as soon as I can. (My creative juices are the source that the niagra draws from). If by chance someone has a LOA (Leave of Absence), there is always a way to work around that. As long as you let me know about delays , writers block (I can help) , emergencies, etc, I will work with you. If you drop out without word then I will give you about a week before I consider you ghosted. IF for some reason you can't contact me, and I "drop" you, please, explain it to me. We can put you right back in, or you can have a new character if you want.

How do I drop players? I kill them ^_^

But with a enough room left for mystery. So if you DO come back, perhaps you survived the bullet wound, or were saved, or whatever. I think I'm pretty nice about the whole ordeal :)

Since I don't see any new faces, and you all seem very willing to make minor adjustments and are open to ideas.
Levi, spartan, hanami :: Accepted.
musicway , anima :: Pending (But looks promising, I'm good with 5 players.)

No Additional Members shall be accepted

@Everybody:: Updated Starting Date to 3005, to better fit the timescale I had set. So take spartan's character, he would have been about 30 during the outbreak of blackwater.
@Spartan :: Change USMC to UNA-MC (United Nations of America - Marine Corps.) ("UNAM" for short)
::(idea) hard of hearing is a decent balancer, and I will accept it. However, this is just an idea, if you feel like having a challenge maybe take a look at given the nature of the blackwater incident.

Again, just an idea.

- Military will be added shortly under first post.
-creating my character
I like casual players, because I like to give everyone a chance for improvement. Not that casual writers are bad in their own regards, but I feel advanced writes are able to touch more bases in a single post. For my it's about character depth, and development, being able to see through the characters eyes. To feel their emotions, reactions, feelings, generally builds a strong attachment to a character.

In casual for me it feels like everything is just the bare bone, enough to keep things moving. But where's the depth? I know people who could easily write in advanced but stick with casual. For their own reasons. Also, it's not just about post length. While I love having something to read, I also understand that perhaps a boss fight scene isn't going to have eight paragraphs. Two-three meaty ones are sufficient.

Then on the other hand I've seen advanced writers who detail the forest, and that bug, and the rock the bug is on, and the feel of the earth beneath the rock, and how damp it is, and why its good for growing plants, and what kind of plants, and what kind of bugs.. and fml. I don't have the attention span for writing a novel, so roleplay is my outlet.

On the final hand (I have many) I like to play in advanced because a lot of casual writers get intimidated easily, and then "ghost" out or feel as if they can't keep up. (Ghost out = disappear with no word, drop out silently). I make mistakes like everybody else, and being the GM (which I prefer) I tend to write a lot more at some points because I have to govern the world around you.

--IMPORTANT--

In this particular roleplay, not everybody HAS to be in the same place at the same time. There will be opportunities to do special events, which may affect things within the roleplay, or not. (special items worth a lot of trade value, fame, upgraded living, equipment, etc.) But that's not to say accepting every event will get you something out of it, maybe the one who stays behind gets something different? I will however, promise to do my best to keep everybody engaged no matter where they are.

The biggest problem most people have, and I am quilty, is leaving a post off in a hard spot to articulate a decent reply to. That's why Collabs are wonderful, and I encourage them.

@Levi:: I have a one x one with you, and I just want to let you know you could easily join any advanced roleplay you want. You shouldn't even feel intimidated at all, you write very well, and it's quite engaging, i look forward to our reads.

P.S :: I apologize for the delay on that, as you are aware my lady is down and I tend to devote more time to spending with her. Replies takes me around an hour or two, so I will find time to reply when I can. If not I guarantee I can get one up thursday. The first chance I have I'd like to get deadland started (perhaps that will hold you over?).

Then again, I have Sun-fri off next week, so I'll probably find time to get Deadland up. Right now I'm waiting on character sheets. Then we'll vote on starting location. So there is no need to rush. I will maintain a presence here for your questions and concerns. Once we're ready to go I'm sure my lady will understand :) She's cool like that. (I'll make her play minecraft or something hehe).

Remember! I love creativity, ideas, and questions. Never-ever be afraid to ask me a question, no matter how trivial.

I also skipped over free, didn't look appealing to me.

^ That was a free level thread post right there.

I couldn't do it.

I just.. I just can't.
Don't worry I am here to help ^ ^ I'm not just going to abandon you all. I believe in learning and improvement. We were all casualites once. (casual players, i skipped over free section haha)

(Gm level = helpful tips)
Not too future-y, but there are room for fancy gadgets

Using fuselage and a trigger system you could have an inferno sword.

I think I'll made a tinker character ^ ^

Yeah. I just didn't like her much. I wasn't feeling it.

It happens, very interested to see who comes up next.

Whoa, there's been a lot of posts since I've been working on my CS |D It's up in my previous post, just what I've come up with in a short while. I'll probably wake up tomorrow and add/remove/change a bunch of stuff, haha. If there's anything that needs to be adjusted, absolutely let me know, it's been a long, long while since I've planned for anything this intricate! I'm worried about potential overlaps but I checked repeatedly to try not to step on anyone else's toes, if you have any concerns I'd be happy to make changes. To clarify, I don't intend for my character to have any kind of medical knowledge in terms of being able to treat wounds or make salves or anything like that. Although I do think I should come up with another practical skill or two so she's not completely useless, heh.

If she has ever traveled outside the walls it is recommended to add basic first aid (like, everybody knows how to prevent infection and that's basic first aid right there. Bandaids count too. ) I like her so far, you picked a very unique field. You character and Levi's should get along nicely when is comes to herbal applications of healing. I bet she knows a smidgen about plants too haha.

@Everyone: So far I like how easily ya'll have adapted to the negative trait. Strong characters with a good, story driving, off-balance. Because after all, the characters are still human. (GM Pleased level +1).
You know you can play more than one right?

I plan to. Maybe.

Question. Water.Humans need that to survive. Are we just going off of the use of bottled water here? Also, do we have to use RL photographs or are you open to drawings for appearances?

That's what slush is for. It's a synthetic water replacement (that tastes like a smoothie, unless you get turkey flavor, that's kind of weird. Taffy is alright)

-- FEEDBACK --

@Levi :: Vera the medic looks good so far, and everybody needs a healer. Though I did PM you about toning down her ammo capacity a little bit. I'm sure you have no qualms :)

@Reap :: Lauren the scout is a well rounded character, and an asset to any group in threat assessment and path finding.
-- Recommended :: Add some sort of skill or item to help her assess danger? Heat-sensory goggles? A 3-mile wristwatch sonar scanner? (Though it wouldn't be affected at deep-scanning buildings. But a constant reminder of close-proximity danger? (put it on vibrate haha beeps will get you killed?)
--Also Recommended :: Escape tactic. Being a scout you will be out alone, perhaps some sort of scented grenade to draw creatures away from your position? A noisy-beeping-thingy you throw? An explosion?

@Musicway :: Cory the Scavenger is also quite a useful character, and an asset to any groups survival and finances.
--Recommended :: Small, Quiet, Handheld pneumatic screwdriver. (Trust me, you need a towel for traveling the galaxy, and every thief needs a screwdriver )
--Also Recommended :: Electronic-Key Hacking Device. The sexiest loot can be found behind the hardest doors.

As for her slingshot. Pebbles will not help you much, even at force, it may momentarily stop, and piss off, whatever wants to eat you.

Perhaps a stake-thrower? A buzz-saw launcher? Awesome Melee weapons? A crossbow? Bow and Arrow? hand cannon? (technically not a gun >_> yeeargh ).
If you -really- want it, you can keep it, but I'm just warning you. If you can't take down a lion with it, it may not be very helpful.

So far so great ladies! (and gentlemen?? >_> )

@Spartan :: Can't wait to see what you come up with!

@Hanami :: Romance can happen if it goes that way, though I won't be pushing for it. Apparently the ladies like apocalypse more than the dudes (weird). I'd be sorry to see you go, but everyone is entitled to their preferences.
@Levi: What does she carry her gear in? Duffel bag, backpack? hip-pouches?
Also given her job I recommend any of these items:: first aid kit , surgical kit , bandages, salves, pills, anti-venoms, can have a small laser meant to cauterize wounds, stitches, needles, etc medic equipment.

One more thing, if it's N/A it doesn't need to be on your CS, just so you're aware :)

Ok ONE more thing. For hobby i would recommend volunteering medical aid, gardening (steadies hands), painting (steady hands and focusing), gun maintenance (precision, steady hands, focus) again these are suggestions only. You can pick whatever you want.

I imagine her weapon looks like that :P
