People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

The Ambush Point

Yvette flanked around the ATV, pausing for a moment to huff at Cecil's erratic display. It made her more frustrated, and offered Luke a distraction that he took full advantage of, ramming into Yvette's side with his shoulder as he dashed around the Truck, leaving his hammer firmly planted in the vehicles front bumper. She was toppled immediately. Yvette dropped her weapon and slid across the ground, landing at Brian's feet. The man looked at her in shock, unsure of how to respond to Luke's ambush. "Hey there, darlin'!" He grunted at Yvette, summoning a long sword between his fingers as he caught sight of Cecil. "We're here to commandeer this little wagon of yours!" Yvette scrambled across the dusty ground for her weapon, but Luke was already poised to strike her down. She would't stand a chance, and Brian was frozen in place at the sight of combat.

"Fire blindly!" A survey Junker shouted, firing his weapon past Jenso's smoke cloud. He hit nothing, of course, nor did his allies. Their rapid fire was ceased immediately though, once the entire vehicle shook as Jenso's hammer struck its cannon, just as it was about to fire. The resulting shot was angled perfectly to richochet off of Alexander's shield with harmless results. The power of the blast put immense stress on the man's barrier, but before it could break through, the laser faded and the cannon went silent. Several Junkers fell back, a few injured by their falls, giving Jenso and his group more than enough time to close the distance.

The troops behind Alexander hit the ground as this happened, quickly pushing themselves up as the danger was deflected harmlessly. The 4 other men quickly surrounded the immobilized vehicle, despite Kenny's best efforts to get it moving again. The Junkers had no way out now.

"Reh~Heh~ha~Heh!"

The door behind Asus slammed shut, trapping him in a large, completely sealed off room with the Marines' leader, Yami. There he stood, as cocky as he'd always been, with both hands on his hips and a sinister smile painted across his face. "Yer awfully persistent, even after loosin' your captain and one o' yer friends already! And now you're traipse'n on in on the head honcho. Lookin' for a serious beating eh? Well you've come to the right place!" Yami shouted, tapping his foot against the ground irritable. Looking around, Asus could notice that this room had no windows, or exits of any kind aside from the sealed door that he came through. There were two giant metal plates near the roof on both the right wall, and the left wall, but they didn't look like they'd be easy to pry open, especially with only hornets at his disposal. Yami stepped down from a small podium and approached Asus unarmed. What was this marine going to do without any weapons? Well, Asus would soon find out...
@Blue Demon Sorry to hear that.

@FateWeaver Extra sorry to hear that.

@Jensoman Jenso shh
Going to post without @Wind Wild tomorrow, just to give people some more leeway.
@tex Thank you for the explanations. It certainly sounds more encouraging than what your co-GM said which I appreciate.

I'll keep all that in mind and I'll make a response on Monday or Tuesday. Sorry for the dely, I was distracted and uninspired.

On another note I feel the need to mention that despite how capable Onweer may sound, it's her own ego speaking and not me desiring to make the most OP or badass character. I see RPing as a group project and innthe future if I make any mistakes I'd appreciate it if I have things explained to me patiently. I strive for realism just as much as you guys but since writing fantasy is largely a matter of imaginatiin on top of facts and the line is always less clear in players' minds than in GMs'.

It's quite alright, I encourage people to enjoy themselves above all else, except the expense of the universe/other characters. Me and Hatman will speak up in the future if anything seems a little out of place, but we're fairly flexible on a lot of things considering the setting.

There's also room for character growth, but it'd be a good idea to blatantly (Or subtly) hint towards character improvement/capabilities so that there isn't any confusion in the future.

Also note to everyone, if you'd like to have some significant input on the flow of the story, let me know via PM. I already have a plan for the plot, but the direction and pace is also dependant on how the characters choose to go about their business.

Luke pushed his way past a small boulder, rushing the ATV head on as Jenso's flames crashed against its cannon relentlessly. Several of the Junkers instinctively rushed to the windows on either side of the vehicle and lined up their weapons, looking for targets cautiously among the endless rows of boulders and stone platforms, Cecil being one of them. Yvette snapped out of her stupor immediately as Cecil fired his gun, and acknowledged Karida's order with a curt nod. "To my side, Brian!" Yvette shouted, shoving the side door open with her foot while un-holstering her pistol. Brian rushed to meet her, keeping his focus as tight as he could manage. "You too, Onweer! We've no time to dawdle!" As the door swung open, the ATV's right side was immediately swarmed by 6 Divers, all of whom were armed with ranged weapons. They immediately took aim and fired upon Yvette with reckless abandon, but she was quick to duck behind the reinforced steel to her left. Brian did the same, and before they could even make an impact, the gunners on either side of the ATV's exit fired upon their adversaries, dropping them like common soldiers. Yvette peered around the corner she'd hid behind, looking at the carnage with a grimace.

"The hell!?" Kenny shouted, aiming the main cannon towards Luke and prepping for another shot without hesitation. Luke didn't care. Jenso's previous assault had upset the weapon's targeting. It creaked at it spun back towards its targets, giving them plenty of time to reach the Vehicle's bumper. Luke jumped up and conjured a massive warhammer between his hand, striking the hood of Kenny's ATV with enough force to shake the entire vehicle. He briefly turned to Alexander and the four other Divers who'd followed him and smiled, signaling that they could safely approach, though honestly, that was probably pretty obvious by now. Unfortunately, Kenny had already lined up his cannon with Alexander and the Divers next to him, and it was about to fire with a fully charged shot...

"Those of you who can't fight, stay inside!" Yvette shouted, looking at Ebenezer with a hint of dread in her expression. Afterwards, he promptly dashed out of the vehicle with Brian in tow, expecting Onweer to follow closely afterwards.

Jenso's group was now under fire though, and the 6 Divers approaching from the right were either wounded, or dead. The group approaching form behind however, didn't appear from behind the rocks they used for cover. What an unexpected turn of events- No, it was perfectly expected. Death wasn't uncommon in no-man's-land, why should it be any different now?
@Hatman1801 Ah ok, sorry bout that, I'm a bit too used to being creative and I didn't know you had limitations on how to use the magic our characters have. My logic is that as the wind passes through the given space and is broken by different humanoid objects it can create a sonar-like picture as the magic is then returned to the user. Anyway, I'll change it. Anything else I need to know before we continue so this doesn't happen again? If you have a clear idea of does and don't-s about wind and mind magic, I'd appreciate you PM me a guideline. Thanks.

Right, so the limitations on the universe are fairly simple, in the sense that everything must have a rational explanation. It doesn't really matter how outlandish your rationale is, as long as Hatman and myself don't find it gamebreaking or anything like that. In regards to using elemental magic to 'scan' or 'feel' an area, I think that would require quite a bit of focus since you'd need to maintain a link to the energy leaving your body. Doing this through a wall blindly, even if it is magically attuned, could potentially be explained rationally, but the real question is, how much focus and energy would it realistically take?

Brian, who's sole purpose is to survey using his unique arcane network, can barely manage to make out humans among rock formations. Doing so without such a modification, and over a large area, would require quite a bit of energy/focus. I do encourage creativity, but it's important to keep characters restricted by a certain confines. I didn't get the impression for Onweer's CS that she could use the wind as a sonar-like tool.

One more thing to note is that magic in Arcadia is correlated with technology in how advanced it can be. The only real limitation this puts on magic, is that it can rarely be used to mimic things like phones or computers, making it almost impossible to transmit/scan with certainty over a long range without using a fairly simple principal. I'd be ok with Onweer 'feeling' the wind if she wasn't partially silenced, but something like that would require a lot more focus than simply flinging the wind about, I reckon.

In the future, I think it'd be ok to do something like this to a lesser extreme, as opposed to positioning 24 people without restriction. I do enjoy the concept, tbh.
Unfortunately I'm going to have to drop out, life has been hectic and I'm having enough trouble managing my own RP, sorry fellas.
Sorry for the inactivity, I've been busy. I may post today or tomorrow.

@Wind Wild I'll give you a brief overview at the same time.
