Hey remember when this site didn't have 3 tabs in the IC threads? Crazy.

I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

@Wind Wild Once Hatman is back in commission, you'll be pulled into the realm of the living again~ Sorry for the delay, I've been meaning to pull Onweer deeper into the main plotline.
@Ebonsquire ah don't apologize. I don't really mind all that much, I'm just a little peeved that people keep claiming to be collabing left and right, when they could easily use the free time they DO have to make actual progress. You can't collaborate if timezones conflict harshly, and it holds things up for everyone else.

I don't really mind short posts at all. A single paragraph once/twice a day is vastly better than a huge collab post every four days. It also lets other people jump in anytime they want to.
Everyone's collabing, yet nothing is getting done. I'd imagine it would be easier for everyone to take advantage of the fact that a forum ignores timezones, and post sequentially so that stuff is at least happening, rather than falling victim to the schedules of their peers.

But that's just me. :(
Ok sorry for the double post, but if there were groups, I think one group should be:

Gaius, Tivo, Sera, Blank, Lee, and Kelari.
Gaius would likely group up with Sera Tivo and Blank because uh... Plot..
@Ebonsquire

Nothing, don't worry bruh. I'm goofin' on the fact that I'm not a fan of collabs.

Krunk Fortress, Lobby

OK, YOU NEED TO GET THE F**K OUT

As soon as Zerraf's foot struck the door, it flew off its hinges, but not in the direction he might've expected! It flew towards him, in pieces mind you, as a larger ball-man catapulted himself through it and into the center of the large room. The Krunklet cooks immediately fled at this display, and slammed the door to the kitchen shut, pushing Jenso out of the room as quickly as they could.

Upon landing and pushing his extremities from his armor, the newcomer turned to Jenso, Zerraf, Ainra and Eleanor, pointing his index finger at them all with a heroic pose! His armor was dark brown, like chocolate, but glimmered as any other. His helmet was two little horns, and his arm-plating was thicker than usual, wrapping around his arms like flexible tubes. "YOU!!!" He shouted, waggling his finger like a fucking tool.

...Who the fuck was he!?

Castle Exterior

The shorter man's face tensed severely as Sulfrax brushed him off. "Peasants?!" He grunted angrily. The comment struck a nerve like gunfire through glass, and his entire body twitched. He lowered his right hand towards his waist, reaching for a weapon that wasn't there. His fingers coiled tightly regardless. Ruso placed a hand on his shoulder, but it was far too late to sate his ally's fury. In a bright flash of yellow light, a sword materialized in the short man's arms, and he lashed out at Sulfrax's body with his newly created weapon. It was like craft-magic, similar to what Luke and Yvette used to summon their own weapons on a whim, but there was something different about it. The sword wasn't crafted from arcane energy alone. Although it was impossible for most to notice, that weapon was beyond the realm of normality. Its ornate green handle looked as if it were crafted by an expert, but if Sulfrax took too much time to observe its intricate details, he would pay the price in blood as three feet of rigid steel carved into his torso. Ruso, unable to stop his shorter comrade from attacking, lunged for Rem in an attempt to prevent his interference. This had been their intent all along, to assassinate these wanderers as they had done many times in the past. But the smaller man's rash nature had crushed their chances for a couple of quick and easy kills.

Arcadia

Inside the Z-ATV

Dan nodded as Jager went on about his master's teachings, completely disinterested. He'd heard it before, the philosophies or whatever the hell you wanted to call Kho's teachings, from another man he'd met at Diver's paradise. It didn't sound any less ridiculous coming from Jager, but Dan continued to nod absentmindedly, struggling to maintain a weak smile. The lines in his face did very little to hide how bored he was with the man's speech, though. "Cute," He mocked, falling back into his seat, his machinists garb crinkling from the impact. "Believe whatever you wanna, kiddo."

A second man, sitting next to Jager, tapped the monk's shoulder lightly with his pale index finger, his hand lined with silver rings. He was a slender man, no where near as tall as Jager, and far less burly. His hair was a notable shade of silvery grey, and refracted the light sources within the ATV like crumpled tin-foil. "Don't let this asshole get to you. Kho's teachings are just as valid as any other, and rather profound, as far as I'm concerned," He said, calmly glancing at Dan with subtle contempt, who had already closed his eyes and sunk into a state of supposed zen. Truth was, he was just annoyed. The man who addressed Jager was none other than Quicksilver Zay, a Popular Diver who's unique abilities brought several aspects of arcane science into question. He didn't smile, nor did he frown. Overall, the man had a demeanor that screamed lazy asshole, despite his kindness.
Gaius Stronurr

The Meeting Point

Gaius let out an embarrassed huff and nodded. A series of light clinks from his helmet tapping his breast plate's collar was the only retort he had for Sera's comments. His armor tended to defend him from the occasional tease more than he'd ever bothered to himself! Without it, he might have been completely silent in the face of mockery. Then again, what harm was a little jest at his expense, now and then? People like Sera were the only ones keeping him well aware of his faults! As Sera turned towards him, Gaius pointed his face-guard towards her and listened intently, careful not to take her words to heart. Abandon his king? Of course not!

"I suppose you could call me that, but I'm an envoy of my own will! It's my sworn duty to uphold his highness' wishes. If I were not to see this mission through, it would be akin to abandoning the very principals that this kingdom was built on! I'm not keen on tossing aside my responsibilities as a knight," Gaius maintained, his voice practically seeping with an obnoxious amount of charisma. "The king would support my decision, and I'm confident that my guards will be fine without me- Perhaps better! Ha-ha!" Gaius had never been one to let the icy daggers of spite rend his armor and stab at his confidence. He was persistent! So persistent that it was rather unhealthy. His failures were the only wounds that stung, and to be reminded of his shortcomings so thoroughly was the ultimate torture. Gaius then turned his attention to Lee and Kelari, who'd arrived as he'd spoken with Sera, and waved his mighty shimmering arm with a smile that burned through his metal head-cover. "Ah, Lee's here too! And Kelari as well! And-" He paused and turned around to witness Blank ascending the hill. Him too? Gaius thought to himself, as he closed his waving hand into a loose fist and pulled it back to his waist. Shall I be met with a hat trick, Tivo?
