Hey remember when this site didn't have 3 tabs in the IC threads? Crazy.

I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

*Obligatory welcome*
@Whimsley Yea, specifically how they react to whatever happens to them. I'd be ok with things like the occasional 'auto-hit-like' scenario, such as getting pinned down without a chance to react, but reactions thereafter should be the responsibility of the players controlling the pokemon.
@WhimsleyOh, what yea we're cool. I'm just offerin' the feedbacks, a thing I wished more players did in the RPs that I host. I think it's a lot more productive to communicate with GMs rather than just hop ship once one thing bothers you (AKA what most players do nowadays).

I certainly don't want fights where the players are just 'mashing the A button' as you've mentioned, those are boring. The thing that bothered me the most was where you'd taken my Meowth's reactions into your own hands. I can deal with a few sticky situations now and again if that's how you'd like to work things out. I had intended to let Kaz take whatever attack the nidoran threw, actually, considering that he'd just done a few things without heeding his trainer at all. #meowthgrowthintensifies.
Tesh Yama

Redorchard

Tesh shook his head as Meowth ran straight into a poison-point. "Relax, Kaz!" Tesh called out. Kaz ceased his struggling and let the Nidoran's feet push against his chest. He groaned slowly, locking eyes with the Nidoran as its front paws sunk deeper into the dirt on either side of its head. He had no chance to overpower the Nidoran, but the more he struggled, the faster the poison would sap his energy away. For a moment, it looked as if the Meowth had given up, but as the Nidoran's weight bared down on Kaz's Limbs, he put all his remaining strength into slipping one of his back paws out from underneath his opponent's grasp. Kaz immediately drew his paw up against the Nidoran's stomach and began pushing. Tesh smirked and clapped his hands. "Don't push, use scratch!"

The Meowth's back paw unsheathed its claws as Tesh said this, lashing out with a scratch aimed to deal maximum damage. Kaz intended to dissuade the Nidoran with pain, rather than force. It was the only way he could release himself. Technical play was certainly more befitting of a pokemon with Technician, after all.

Regardless of the effect that his scratch attack had on the Nidoran, Meowth would feel the sting of the poison shoot down the paw he'd used to attack with. His right leg would suffer the consequences of the attack. Kaz's agility would take a massive hit. If this scratch attack didn't put his opponent in an equally horrid position, then...

Pokemon Team
Kaz ~ Meowth ~ [PSN]
Yea I've been a little busy.

Just a note though, can't say I'm a fan of the auto-hits/automatic-success of the NPC's actions, especially with the Nidoran pinning Meowth down perfectly despite the blistering speed difference between the two pokemon, and the feelings/affects of the poison on Meowth being described despite the pokemon being in my control. Along with things like Kaz struggling, the implication of Tesh's knowledge, etc etc.

Maybe it's just not my style, but it's been a little discouraging.

Edit: Pardon the poor post. My creative energy is not so powerful atm.
@KendrikDmer You're good to go IC

@Saint Peccator Waiting on you to respond IC.
@Zardoric Sorry to see you go. If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to hear your reasons for leaving in PM.
Tropi Desert

Approaching ZATV-1

Trique wandered through the Tropi desert aimlessly. Who knew how long he'd been there? A dry sensation grasped at his throat and discouraged his silent march, but he knew better than to stop now. The Plains of Ire were only so much further, and within them, Illon and Arcadia sat, ready to accept him. But as he approached the large cliff-face that divided the plains from Tropi Desert, he would notice a large truck near the edge, with several people standing around and on top of it, before it backed away from the Desert. How would he approach, if at all?

Plains of Ire

Around the Z-ATV

The Lizzie dancing was brought to a halt as they were assailed by Jager's electrical orbs, falling one after another like limp carrots. It was a sigh to behold, but nothing comparable to what followed. From behind one of the farthest visible dunes, a massive orange-speckled mountain of a lizard crept out one two equally powerful legs, which held its colossal body over 100 feet off of the ground. It must have weighed several tons! Its sheer mass overtook that of the ATV with ease, and it would surely tower over the buildings back in Arcadia. Unlike the smaller lizards though, it had two barely-feasible little arms below its massive maw that waggled angrily. It was kind of cu- Actually, no it wasn't. As it made its way towards the ATV slowly, the ground shook with each one of its titanic steps.
Peach's Castle

As Bowser made his way into Peach's chambers with a thunderous crash, the culprit responsible for her shriek turned to him, standing at the foot of her bed, and holding what looked like a Cap-Card in his right, white-gloved hand. His body looked to be covered in a long, white cloak that shined with a square-pattern that constantly shifted like magic. His feet and torso were not visible through this, even though his hands both floated by his body, baring no true connection to his cloak or shoulders. They floated, both gloved with purple smoke constantly emanating from the wrist-holes behind them. Was this the infamous count-Bleck!? No, he was gone. He and his Love disappeared when Mario, Luigi, Bowser and Peach dealt with Dimentio a while back. This was another man, with a far more sinister personality. His clothing and appearance almost mirrored Bleck's perfectly, though...

"Ho~ho!? Am I being challenged now, by an overgrown turtle??" He announced, turning to face bowser with the cap-card still in-hand. "You hold no ownership over my collection, you filthy creature! Only I deserve to steal the most priceless trophies throughout the multiverse! They are mine! Mine! Mine!!!" The man's face was purple, and he wore a monocle over his eye, opposite to where Bleck had worn his. His eyes were interesting though. Although they glowed an eerie yellow, they looked as if they were held in place, rotating like little dice with several hundred sides. He had no pupils, and his eyes vibrated insanely fast. His sharp, toothy smile reverberated as he began to chuckle gleefully, revealing a small silver tongue the traveled across the top outline of his purple teeth.

"Your princess belongs to Count Collect!" He commanded, turning the cap-card around.

Within it stood a terrified princess, frozen in place, and trapped within the card.

"Heh-hehehehehe!"
Krunk Fortress, Courtyard

General Spike, The head General.

As Jenso and Zerraf made their way into the courtyard, they would notice a dragon-like man duking it out with Lord spike, just before having his wings torn apart by the golden krunk-legion soldier's spike cannon. Spike was just being released, and continued to roll across the courtyard until he was near the center, where a massive fountain stood with several little krunk statues lining its edges, holding tiny bows like round-ass-cupid-looking-mother-fuckers.

"First interlopers from the front, and now from the sky!? You will rue the day that you lay foot on these grounds, trespassers!" As he shouted, hundreds of little krunklets rolled into the courtyard from two massive archways on the west and east edges. All the exits then slammed shut, and spike hopped atop the fountain, standing resolute. A second later, the back of his armor jutted open momentarily to release a large red cape that fluttered in the wind. "You face General Spike, leader of the Krunk army, right hand to Lord krunk himself!" He shouted. His soldiers cheered as he did show, and he smirked under his golden helmet.

"So co~ol!!" "What a badass!" "Viva'La Krunk!"
"Spike, sign my armor!" "My ass is itchy"

"Surrender and your deaths will be quick!" Spike finally announced, aiming both of his wrist-mounted spike launchers at the intruders.
