Hey remember when this site didn't have 3 tabs in the IC threads? Crazy.

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

The Sniper Nest

"Huh?" The lazy man mumbled as Jenso rushed past him. He was still laying with his back against the rock face that Midge used for cover. The guy didn't look particularly athletic or energetic at all, but Midge was quick to react despite the fact that Jenso had the jump on her. Her lightning-fast reflexes helped aim her rifle towards Jenso the second he began his approach, but as Jenso's fist struck her ribcage, she fired her gun too early, off into the distance, harmlessly. Midge toppled towards the edge of the plateau helplessly, losing her grip on the high powered arcane rifle in the process. Her weapon rolled towards the rock face that shielding them from the Junker's sights, but her ally didn't move to grab it. "Hey!" he said weakly, gesturing to Jenso with an open hand, "What's your problem?"

"Argh!" Midge grunted, barely stopping herself from tumbling right off the edge of the rock. "What kind of strength is that? It's inhuman!" She insisted, clutching her ribs. Two or three ribs, cracked in a single blow. What was this guy? "Dom, help?!?"

Dom ignored Midge and shrugged. "I aint gunna get my ass beat for nothin' Midge. This wasn't in the bounty header," He announced. "Buddy, we surrender," The man then rose his hands helplessly and shrugged. Midge groan loudly in annoyance and fell limp.

"Useless!"
Lord Krunk's Quarters

Smells Like Krunk

Lord Krunk's slow forward momentum didn't slow down at all, but several feet before crushing the two flaming fire-blowers, his feet pushed him up, and his short stubby arms popped out of the armors side sockets. The tiny slit that revealed his eyes glowed dimly as he glared down at the flames hitting his armor. "Stop dat! It's boilin' in dis here fortress!" Krunk complained, looking relatively unfazed by the dual fire attacks. "fine den!"

Something unthinkable happened after those two words. Lord Krunk, the fattest Krunk of them all, actually managed to life himself off the ground with a small hop. Granted, it wasn't very far, but the resulting quake shook the bricks below them, and cracked a few into several shards of stone. "Fortetude!" Krunk blared wildly with poor pronunciation. Regardless, the ring on his right hand began to glow. He reeled it back, not paying very much attention to the uncomfortable temperature inside of his suit, and waited for a split second.

And then his arm grew. It grew and grew, until it was comparable to a tree trunk in width. It took less than a second, and he took full advantage of the effect with a massive sweeping hook, aimed to knock both Jenso and Drake off of their feet. "HIYAAAA!"

Meanwhile, General spike found his landed less than ideal. His spiked helmet struck the ground, wedged between to bricks, which held him in place for a few seconds. More than enough time for Zeraph to strike at his face. But after the first thrust missed a lethal blow, barely slashing at his cheek, the second thrust was caught by something in the darkness of his helmet. Did he had a thicker skull than Zeraph imagined? The wind whipped and rustled Spike's half-torn cape, but Spike didn't fall to the ground. Instead, he twisted his body away from Zeraph, trying to tear the Rapier from his hands despite how little traction he'd actually gotten. That bloody ball man had caught Zeraphs blade between his teeth!

Regardless of whether or not he could have disarmed the redmage, Spike would return to his feet, several yards away. "You will not interfere, peasant!" He roared commendably. Truely a Krunk Elite! Or just a really stubborn asshole in a suit of armor.
Hyznia

Outside the Castle walls

Sulfrax scoffed at the comment from Florence, and turned towards him with a half smirk. He rose one hand and uttered something under his breath. A single bolt of arcane energy flew forward and tore through the Gaian's skull before dispersing into a flurry of sparkles, scattered through a spray of red droplets. The Gaian's head twitched. Ruso looked over in utter shock, and then towards Sulfrax. "The Dungeon will do fine with one prisoner, Rem. I've little patience for insolent whelps," Sulfrax groaned, spinning around and heading towards Hyznia Castle with an even stride. He assumed Rem would follow, almost hoped, actually. The man has roused his interest. Perhaps going off into the unknown for researching purposes wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Hyznia Main Gates

As soon as Sulfrax and Rem were to approach the main gate, they would be stopped by a collection of Hyznia's most famous soldiers, the holy guard. Men adorned in gold-plated armor with sun-like symbols emblazoned on their breastplates, they were the governing force that surpassed all other soldiers in the Castle city. Equal to arch-mages in rank, but separate from the CMAS on special request of Hyznia's government, they could act as they pleased outside of the dreaded Mage-society's watchful eye. Or so they thought, anyways.

"Master Lauchlin. The king has requested your audience posthaste. There is a visitor here that has prompted the need for your return," One of the five guards announced, eyeing Rem curiously, "You may bring your... Vassle, if you so wish it." Sulfrax paused for a moment thinking the summons over. What the hell could they want with him? He turned and looked to Rem, nodding.

"Very well," He finally answered, making his way towards the Throne room. "Rem, stay close to me. You may bring that beast with you, as long as you can keep it at your side."

Plains of Ire

Around the Z-ATV

Zay nodded lazily as Jager prompted him, watching the electrical display with a smile. Sparkly. They were like the fireworks that he enjoyed in his youth, but more... Dangerous! Zay shrugged the thought and clapped his hands together in front of him. The resulting sound was metallic, and his palms fused together into what looked like a small cannon barrel. "Hopefully that lightning reacts!" Zay shouted, launching a small globe of amorphous, unstable and chaotic silver metal at the electrical ball of energy. The giant lizard was preparing to charge once again, but in the time it took to regain its composure, Jager and Zay's attacks were already upon it.

Dan began hitting the top of the ATV with his arm, but his voice was muffled. The two lasers behind Jager began to whir powerfully, appearing as if they ready to fire. Zay's hands unfused and he turned around to witness the glowing barrels of both laser weapons. "Oh, oh oh!" He said, hopping through his silver goop, towards the ladder that lead off of the ATV's roof. It wasn't the best warning, but hopefully Jager would hear the whirring as well and react accordingly.

The Sniper Nest

As Jenso climbed, and climbed, a body fell behind him with a hole piercing through its head. The hot-headed Diver had tried to stop these snipers moments earlier, only to fall prey to the crafty woman's trick shot. "Good riddance," The woman's voice uttered, turning back towards the ATV with her rifled pointed away from where Jenso was approaching. The man at her side clapped slowly.

"Thatta-girl, Midge... Ah, there's another approaching from the South-west." The man tugged her sleeve and pointed towards Par from afar. "He looks armed, might wanna keep an eye on-" Before he could finish his sentence, the woman spun around and fired at him with deadly accuracy, striking his head right between the eyes. "-Uh... Him." The female hunter cackled triumphantly and turned back to the ATV, waiting for another fool to poke their head out.
Is it perhaps bad that I haven't been reading most of the posts that don't pertain to my group/people around us?
Tesh Yama

Redorchard

Kaz's balance was offset for a split second by the zig-zagoon's maneuver. Tesh kissed his teeth and put away his pokedex. "Kaz!" He called out, alerting his Meowth immediately. The little feline flinched slightly as a tinge of pain gently crawled across his back. Tesh pointed towards the bushes where the erratic pokemon had scurried towards. "Wait for him to bounce. Strike while he's airborne," Tesh commanded, bending over and picking up a medium sized rock. He tossed it about casually as he turned back towards the bushes with determination in his eyes. "Slash it right out of the air. Subdue it with your teeth if you can upset its rhythm," Tesh ended on, tossing the rock into the bushes, as far behind where the Zigzagoon had entered as he could manage.

Trainers couldn't interfere with professional battles, aside from with their commands, but in the wild? What stopped him from helping his Zigzagoon out a little? Rock throw Tesh thought to himself with a smirk, hoping the small noise would spook the excitable little Zigzagoon enough to get it out of hiding. Kaz waited patiently, heeding Tesh's commands as much as he could.

Considering how small our group has become, I'm looking into allowing more characters from all sources if any of your would like to make a second player. I will handle Sulfrax and Alvios myself, but will alert y'all if I need any help managing stuff.
Unfortunately, Hatman is out now, and I'm not particularly fond of controlling his characters. So that might put a slight kink in things.

Gah.

I'll post tomorrow, probably. Or today. Not sure.
Lord Krunk's Quarters

Lord Krunk

Lord Krunk glanced at Zeraph as he announced his name from beneath his ornate, flattened helmet that matched the circumference of his armor better than any other. His glowing yellow eyes were like diamonds, shifting erratically towards Jenso, as he announced that they were there to 'kick his ass' or something. Kick HIS ass?

"Kick my ass? You little dimwits aint a match for deh mighty Lord Krunk!" Krunk announced, lifting himself from his seat. "Lets show dese interlopers what-for!"

With that, Krunk brandished a shiny yellow ring on his right hand momentarily, just as the dragon-like man was about to attack him.

"Let's go!"

Boss
~Lord Krunk~

The Rolling Tyrant

Drake's flaming projectile hit Lord Krunk's armor head-on, but as the smoke clear, there wasn't even a burn mark on his suit of grey steel. "Bwahaha! Is dat it, lizard boy?" Krunk mocked, suddenly stepping forward. In what looked like a trip, Krunk fell forward and retracted him limbs, rolling towards Drake at a fairly slow speed. It was kind of surprising to see that fat fuck capable of any movement at all!

Spike eyed Zeraph, and immediately dashed into a roll towards the Red-mage, with his massive spike at the ready. Several feet before striking him though, he catapulted himself upwards using his spike as a pole-vault like he had done earlier, and aimed to impale Zeraph, not taking into account his wall of wind.
