I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Emilia watched as Lystra's form crashed against the sparkling surface, and was pushed back slightly by the impact in the water. When her friend was set to go, Emilia smiled and rose one hand above the surface, pointing towards the center of the lake before diving and swimming off at her top speed.

Underwater, they couldn't talk, but Emilia looked back to make sure her friend wasn't lagging behind, completely used to the feeling of the fresh water against her open eyes. Occasionally she would slow down, but Lystra wasn't exactly a child. She seemed to keep up rather well despite Emilia's obsession with the lake. The girl dove deeper and deeper, but didn't head towards the darkest recesses of the lake. The sunlight didn't quite reach that deep anyways, there was no telling what lurked down there.

It only took about 20 seconds for Lystra to realized where Emilia was taking them. Several feet below the surface, and rested against a flattened wall of rock against the Lake's edge, was an opening that all-too-accurately resembled a man-made door. The closer they got, the more obvious it became that this wasn't a naturally occurring cave. The wall was laden with small grooves that resembled bricks, similar to the type of strange walls Lystra had seen above ground in the past. They were crude, and large, but Emilia didn't hesitate to dive right in.

Within the ruins, Emilia lead Lystra through a curved pathway that seemed to go on forever. She held her breath firm though, and continued through the darkened tunnel, until there was almost no light left. Rocks jutted out of the destroyed walls of the tunnel, but Emilia was careful to avoid cutting herself. Her agility underwater knew no limits, but it was still a treacherous swim. Then, a splash of relief, as her head surfaced in a lit cave underneath the lake. She's lead Lystra to an ancient ruin of unknown origin.

There was no way that this place was man-made. Hell, it looked practically brand-new from the inside despite the fact that the tunnel leading here was torn asunder and littered with jagged rocks. The walls seemed turned at an odd angle though, as if the entire room was ripped from its foundation and flipped around. The ceiling was over 60 feet off the ground! How the hell was a place like this tucked away so neatly under the lake? How new or, old, was it? Emilia turned and waited for Lystra to make her way through the tunnel, ready to jump back into the water at a moment's notice if her friend wasn't able to make it on her own.
@LokiLeo789 Accepted, Pm me regarding something lore-wise that I'd like to discuss with you though, if you're interested in adding something that is crucial to the universe to his lore. At any rate, you can add him to the sheets page.

@13org Unfortunately, any and all application of void energy is subject to severe limitations. I cannot allow a nation to exist that is capable of manipulating it to such a massive degree. The void templar are already quite limited in how they abuse the void, and who within their ranks can do so effectively. PM me with your completed ideas if you would like to discuss use of Void further, as it is a very finicky type of energy, and is not intended for easy access whatsoever. I'm very careful about who is allowed to use it, as it is kind of excessively broken if not limited properly, and pretty lethal to anyone who tries to harness it improperly.

Ada didn't move, instead sending the imps forward, after Jenso. Each one took a puddle of goo with it, that followed them around like a shadow. It was like a 5 foot diameter circle, and when they hopped, it stayed on the ground, but moved with them without flaw. Ada had a puddle around herself as well, but didn't move, instead tapping his keel against the ground as if there was music playing, and glaring at Jenso with a smirk underneath her mask.

The four imps crisscrossed and converged on Jenso, two on each side, hissing and making strange noises. There were a little different from the imps earlier, and had less defined features, like they were made of purple ooze.
Ada chuckled and began stepping forwards slowly with here eyes focused intently on Jenso. As her figure bounced subtly, the woman rose both of her arms, one of which was covered with a dark purple sleeve. Her form fitting dress left little to the imagination, but the way she moved still concealed her intents. Ada was a confusing witch.

"That was not even remotely close to 'All I've Got' silly! In fact, perhaps you'd be more interested in a real fight?" Ada teased. She stood in place momentarily, stopping just halfway across the large room. "You see what hangs in the balance either way, yes? You're about to let down an entire world!" She mocked. The woman rose her hand, palm facing the ceiling, and created a large bubble of energy that revealed the village of Orobo. It showed the meteor glowing purple, and people gathered around it in confusion. "Ten minutes," Ada shrieked, "That's all you get! If you can surprise me, I'll stop all of the meteors, and destroy them myself! I promise you that, and that alone, my little toy!" The bubble disappeared and Ada pulled her hand back to her side. Four little imp creatures rose from the ground like ooze, and spread purple goo all around Ada's feet, creating a puddle of magic within a 15 foot radius around her. "Impress me boy! I warn you though, better men than you have tried!"

~ End Of Chapter 45~
I may join up if there aren't many people, and this ends up being a small group. Otherwise I won't be hopping in, I'm just not mentally prepared for two large group RPs at once as well as a plethora of 1x1's.
"Why, but how? Would be a much wiser question, you don't think, but why would he now, only if only, I am here to speak with you, Vee vee, Victor! Why else? I assure you there will be no need, not a single requirement, for you to defend yourself. I mean no harm, not yet, so please relax yourself! And allow me to introduce you to a gaze that you won't soon regret exchanging on this fine night, with this fine knight," The stranger sung, madness ever present in his voice. He then bowed forward to match Victor's height and stare deeply into his eyes. "Take a look, don't be shy, into the eyes of Damien Valefor, or simply Vale, lest you mimic the unrighteous mockery that my bloodline begs to taunt me with so vividly."

From the corner of his eye, Victor might have seen another purple flash from somewhere behind a nearby house on his right. Vale seemed to notice it as well, shifting his gaze for a moment and cringing profusely before his smile and focus returned to Victor. "Pay me some attention, please, your fear, although warranted and flattering to no degree, in unnecessary, for now." He paused and frowned for a moment before speaking again. "Look into my eyes and see god, or what passes for god in these ill-begotten times."
The party was thinning out by the time Lystra had set out to find her friend, but Emilia couldn't have gotten far. It was likely that she was still with her family, or mucking about the lakeside outcropping. Hell, she might've been in the lake! The girl had an affinity with the water, after all. Sure enough, merely minutes of Lystra's search, Emilia made her presence known with a righteous splash. Water cascaded towards Lystra from the edge of the lake, where she would see Emilia's long, dark hair floating on the surface, around where her eyes were just barely peering above its reflective surface, looking utterly victorious. Emilia blew bubbles and began moving around like a miniature motorboat, almost beckoning Lystra to jump in after her. Well, that was exactly what she was doing. But before Lystra had a chance to ask why she was acting like a total buffoon, Emilia rose and called out to her, "Come on! It's in the water!" Emilia whispered, rather loudly. It was less of a whisper really, and more of a hushed shout. There weren't many people around to hear her though. Even her brother had run off with Emilia's father. They were two of the few people left, alone with the chief himself, Kalen, and a few other families that stuck around to enjoy the eventual sunset that would come to pass in only a few hours.
Ezekial looked over Lucas and picked him up without sparing a second. "We carry him, of course. I doubt this is a simple sleeping hex, else we'd have fallen prey to it as well. This may be a mana font. Maya spoke of it with Joshua and I before. It's a dense mass of arcane energy, used to overcome a person's consciousness. Those who are adept at arcana may be immune to weaker fonts, which might explain why we aren't unconscious. That also might explain why only you can see whatever kidnapped Henry. Your arcana in inherently superior to mine, and it could be a different sort of font, with different effects. It even covers why Henry was the first to fall prey to its whims, as his magical abilities are practically non-existent," Ezekial extrapolated, heaving Lucas over his shoulder. "This cannot be good. If the caster is aware that were are still conscious, they may be able to increase the output, and take us out just as easily as they did Lucas."
Jenso's jump wasn't quick enough to avoid the lasers impact, although he didn't get hit directly. The two purple beams collided in front of him and exploded in a flash of light that knocked Jenso across the room and spread purple goo throughout. Every single chess piece shattered now, and Ada looked positively furious, but he anger disappeared as she stepped forward, and the strength in her posture returned.

"Aren't we easy to provoke? Haha!"
@Guilty Spark Ah demonlogy was a retconned magic that I'd forgotten to remove from the Warlock tab. Treasure refers to the lost artifices/artifacts of failed/archaic civilizations, yes. Some magic has been lost but texts and artifacts allow modern mages to rediscover or reinvent magic from old time.
