People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

As the energy around Luke dissipated, he was revealed, coating in a dark purple aura. His body looked the same, but a strange glow coated his eyes. He rose his hands and glared at them, overtaken by a rush of emotions.

~

Vale carried through with his dash and swung his blade at Bruce horizontally, with a frightening amount of power and speed. His sprint picked up dust that carried through with his swing, surrounding both fighters in a thin cloud of obstructive dirt.
Luke's eyes glossed over at Jenso pulled at the amulets, but his grasp didn't release, preventing him from truly putting them on. Anxious thoughts coursed through his head as he pulled back the amulets from Jenso, somehow overpowering him. A burst of Ki flowed through the old man's body, until he held the necklaces over his own head.

~

Vale chirped a small tune and readied his blade. He ignored Bruce's responses and lowered his stance, until it was laden with chaotic killing intent, wielding his blade with both hands, and angling it at a 45 degree angle once again.

~

Luke closed his eyes, and a single tear rolled down his left cheek. "I'm sorry, Jenso," He whispered, pulling the amulets down onto his own neck in a single motion. A blast of energy shot out from where he was standing, launching Jenso back.

~

Vale smiled and charged forwards.

"LOVE!"

~ End Of Chapter 99 ~
Luke took hold of all 5 amulets with one of his hands after holstering his gun, "I think I got it, Jenso," He said, raising them over Jenso's head. "The book says it all..."

~

Vale chuckled and nodded. "This is assured. Jenso will face an evil greater than any other, but for you, you shall face me. You shall face your executioner, powered by a truly evil force in its own right..."

~

Luke held the amulets quietly above Jenso's head and looked down at him, hesitant. "When you wear all five amulets, the power within shall be released. That's What Bobba Wrote.." Luke looked away from Jenso for a moment, remembering the Mural painted in the room prior. "You'll have the power to face those hellish men..."

~

"Do you know what that might be, boy? What evil I'm speaking of?" Vale asked Bruce, still holding his blade steady. "That force which drives me, the force that drives all of reality. What is it? Tell me! Tell me! DO YOU KNOW!?"
Jenso felt a brief warmth course through his body, but a moment later, it faded. Luke waited, but nothing noted danger. The room was still silent, without even a breeze upsetting the dust on the floor.

~

Vale cringed at Bruce's action and closed his left hand, pointing his blade towards Bruce with the other. His eyes narrowed. "Such a soul is reverent, the sands do not shift for just anybody, paths, intertwined, spinning, turning, up, through the darkness of the void, and back into the lap of my sword."

Vale clasped the handle of his blade and spun it so that one of the flattened edges was facing Bruce. Two white circles were etched into the perfectly black blade. "Ying... Yang..."
Luke stood back and nodded, holding his rifle at the ready. "I've got your back, Son."

A Father's Guidance

Luke and Jenso were locked in a large room, without any defining features. The roof was dome-shaped, and there were bodies strewn about. Several small cavernous holes lined the base of the walls, too small to crawl through, but what stood out, was the pedestal in the center of the room. The final purity amulet was sitting atop the pedestal, waiting to be taken.

"Jenso, there it is," Luke said, stepping forwards.

~

Vale tapped the tip of his sword against the stone ground and tilted his head from the left, to the right. "Worried?" He asked calmly, eyeing Bruce. "Worried? Worried? Or are you just as stupid as that foolish boy and his father?"
"Good boy, Jenso," Vale growled, stopping in front of Bruce. Luke followed after Jenso quickly. Moments after they exited, however, the two doorways leading into the final room were sealed shut with a silvery metallic material. Vale began laughing hysterically for a few moments, losing his composure and stumbling back a few steps. He looked up at Bruce with his pointed fangs bared, and stood up straight again.

"Good Boy."

~ End Of Chapter 98 ~
Vale let out a series of raspy giggles and rose his blade. "Just one thing," he hissed, angling his blade at a 45 degree angle with a twist of his wrist. He shook his head at Jenso, and rested his stance.

"I will kill your father, your friends, and every last person on this wretched rock, if you do not walk, Jenso," Vale ordered.

"Go on."
Vale revealed his usual toothy smile, this time, bathed in the blood of the men that Jenso had left alive in the room just before this one. With his head slightly tilted, he glared at Bruce with narrow eyes, and chuckled slowly.

"Eh.. Heh.. Heh..?" His smile shrank into a tensed frown. Vale grit his teeth angrily, and tears began to stream down one side of his cheek. "Fatalistic, truth, synonymous. Your beliefs, your understanding, it will not change what will come to be. Idiots. Idiots!" Vale hissed, darting his eyes towards Jenso.

"You know nothing of Lark or what he wanted, insolent filth. You are a pitiful insect, taken pity upon by a weak old man. A man whom I'd no intention of letting die, but now. You." Vale lowered his blade and smiled again, shifting his neck.

"Walk into the next room, with your father, Jenso," Vale commanded, "There is a surprise waiting for you in there, buried in love, I assure it to you." He turned his focus back to Bruce and his smile widened even further. "You. Boy. You will stay here. You will watch."
~ Chapter 98 ~

Ying... Yang...

"At the foot of your own demise, told by time itself beyond your comprehension or admittance, the truth bares down, weightlessly holding you in place. You choose to deny, idiotic!" Vale hummed, stepping closer, "It should have been you, Jenso. Now, it will be you."
