Gunnaya's attack would likely be successful, because Blithe lost sight of Gunnaya's motion when Blithe prepared to receive the blow that never came, at least, not from that angle. Blithe did not have time to reanalyze all of Gunnaya's position and stance, only gut react, once she caught sight of Gunnaya again. However, the time taken to prepare to attack, prompting Blithe's reaction, and then react to the reaction with a sidestep and a different attack took enough time for Blithe to begin putting in motion her previous plans (see above post.)

However, Gunnaya might have chance to reconsider, as she sidestepped the shield and saw the opportunity for striking, she would see Blithe's follow up, the shift of weight bringing her right side forward along with her sword (See above post). If Gunnaya struck as intended, she would have to deal with Blithe's right arm, coming in low and fast, blade in hand, likely turning into some sort of thrust. Blithe was moving her right side forward, and, with Gunnaya's movement, this suddenly changed Blithe's weapon back defensive stance into a weapon forward aggressive stance. It also changed the angle of impact of Gunnaya's potential blow dramatically, and meant her forward moment had mostly stopped.
Aright, so am I clear to move over to character with the necessary additions of what the suit does?
Good news everyone. We should be moving along with some things for you to do soon.

Aw man, I haven't recovered since the last move along.
@The 42nd Gecko: The tech level is an interesting thing, I'll grant you that. Mass effect was a lot for the aesthetic. The magic seems okay, just be aware that while demonic mechs may not be terribly resistant to her punches at first, as she fights them for long enough at melee range their cores will start to cycle off power.

A cloaking device would be acceptable, so long as she wasn't charging a magic blast or something of the like. Magnetic boots work too. Deflector shields are... Interesting. You want protection against magic or kinetics?

@MinervianGrey You're good. Move it into the character tab.

Plank's gonna kill me, but Talia and the opener will have to wait till tomorrow. I got caught up in spanish and errands.

She can't charge a magic blast, at least yet, so I'm quite happy to have a cloaking device with that limitation.

On the deflector shields, I was thinking that, even with a suit of armor, sheer scale would mean that near misses from MECH scaled weapons would still be highly dangerous. I was wanting something that protect against said near misses, meaning that a direct hit would still crush her, because obviously, but a near hit from a weapon that's not like a High Explosive round wouldn't be dangerous.

BUT! With your clarification, I have something I'd prefer instead of those shields (cloaking and guile and magnetic grapple boots should be enough to get close). That, because her punches have her suit between her and her target, while her suit has no hull breaches, it prevents/slows demonic MECHS from absorbing her magic, because the suit's doing it first. Because I have in my head the visual scene idea of going INSIDE an enemy demonic mech after ripping herself a hull breach and absolutely tearing the thing apart from the inside due to the difference in scale, then popping out the other side, covered in steaming gore and trailing wires, as the mech slumps over and falls over.
@Kaithas Her magic is mostly that. There's also a lot of wasted raw energy, which is what the suit collects to function. I wasn't exactly sure what kind of abilities it should have. When Mass Effect level technology was mentioned, I thinking like, cloaking device, deflector shields, magnetic boots, harpoon launchers. But when I look at MECHs already out there, they seem decidedly more medieval.
I is waiting to see how badly Monkey gets beat up.
Happy New Year, folks!

@The 42nd Gecko
Specially for you, since this is the year of the monkey.

Yays! I didn't even notice.
I'm not one much for the tier system, I prefer to see the character and tailor my power level to match.
Throughout history, the archetype of a hero is one of the most enduring and prominent. The upholder of justice, the defender of the weak. Shining examples of all the positive and joyful things of humanity. But throughout history, if you look at elite military forces, so many associate themselves with the skull, death, mystery, and shadows. The skull may well be the most repeated graffiti on military paraphernalia throughout history.

Sometimes, one draws on the strength of one’s closeness to death and darkness rather than one’s the joys of life and light. On the battlefield, Chimere Rapthela feels one seems so much closer at hand than the other. The ugly skull masked anonymity of death is sometimes as charismatic as a beautiful goddess’ face.

Name: Chimere Raphela
Military codename:
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Appearance: Chimere has the build of a lean, scavenging hunter, and her body language speaks of that as well. Her skin tone is a mulatto tone, and the fact that she self-identifies with that term tells you she’s not from America where such a term is an insult. Her dark hair is military cut and her eyes are a withdrawn brown. She has scarring on her neck and lower left cheek that looks fairly like something tried to maul her face off.
Personality: Chimere is civil, but withdrawn. She’ll behave herself, but you can tell at a glance she doesn't respect or trust anyone. Her civility is that of someone who feels if they make the first aggressive move, they will be pounced on by everyone else. A social dynamic built in environments where the weak band together to kill the strong. Of course, this is not that environment, and she’s currently very very confused about why everyone here is so happy and not waiting to kill her if she shows too much weakness or strength. The fact that she can just ask for water and she gets it and it’s no big deal is simply mindblowing to her. Likely going to be some culture shock moments approaching. School will likely be a harrowing new experience for her, more terrorizing than the battlefield.
Biography: Brought into the program from a refugee camp, fleeing from the frontlines of the demonic conflicts, Chimere’s past is likely a tragedy that will forever be off the history books, given how likely Chimere is to talk about it. It's likely where her personal abilities developed and how she stayed alive. Her magical abilities are instinctual and difficult to controllable, likely helping her survive. Of another note is that she has involves almost no schooling, so she will certainly be very lost and need help.
Magic: Somatic. So, you're probably wondering about that armor. Chimere has a complete lack of ranged, defensive, or stealth spells and initial testing proved she was useless at learning them. In a battlefield dominated by giant mechs and guns... This is baaaaad. Enough strength to cut through MECH armor does not help you if the shockwave and shrapnel from a shot landing five meters away blows your arm off and puncture your lungs. Fortunately, if there's anything Chimere does have, it's excessive raw force. Chimere's suit is a battlesuit, far smaller than a MECH, more like armor than a vehicle due to needing to facilitate her Somatic casting. It draws on her power, rather than ambient magic, to function, using technological systems to provide the ranged, defensive, and stealth abilities she needs. The raw brutal melee, she provides herself, fully capable of punching through weak points or joints in a MECH's armor. Chimere's battlesuit is equipped with so many weapons (six full sized blades, four combat knives, and two handguns) because the unstable output of her magic frequently exceeds the strength of her weapons. The primary downside of this suit is that extended operations exhaust Chimere, requiring other mechanized transport too and from battle.
Extra: Steel Salvation, also, I'm aware the bio might be a little too special snowflakey. Tell me if it needs to be toned down a bit.
Lord Borous' fight is already finished, though the series is going on a massive hiatus for at least another two years. If only so the Manga can get, y'know, drawn up.

Honestly, the best part about One Punch Man's manga.
The original one, not the new one.

Is that you can see from episode one to the most recent episode, the COLOSSAL improvement that he's made in his art. He went from kinda shitty, superbad artwork that only had charm going for it. To honestly pretty respectable artwork, better than any dynamic picture I could draw. He's really grown as an artist and that's really encouraging and honestly kinda awesome.

Nifty.
