@Inner Demon And my above post is my reasoning for if Beast and Miyu did bond, what would happen would be:

BEAST: Am I a good protector robot dog who mistook you for my owner?

Miyu: Yes you are! Wanna play fetch? And then go look at one of those stars up close so I can try to solve my question without having to overcome my bizarre fear of talking to Ciel?

BEAST: OH BOY OH BOY!

And they'd never actually go fight. I think we'd be doing a 1 on 1 roleplay where a GM occasionally comes in and says "And here's the name of the god/beast/giant snake that is responsible for that interesting phenomenon."

@TheWindel Except when it kills you, which in this case, means the spiritual trauma made Miyu go "To hell with this, I'm becoming a Scientist/Crazy Mech Lady who alternatively spends her time pondering the mysteries of the universe, or talking with her bunch of non-sentient autopilots."

@TheWindel Well, it's not due to her brilliance that Iona flat out told her that. Miyu just wanted a beach birthday party and Iona had to reveal the underlying secrets of how horrible the universe is.

@TheWindel Hence why she was running around doing things like "How does the edge of the Nexus work?" and "How do stars work?" rather than "If I synthesize my magic of unification with my technology, I should be able to set up all my power plants and shield generators at home, unify the projectors with my fingertips, and be Shieldbitchx100! And still die instantly when someone throws a black hole at me!"

While that would grant Miyu a way to fight, would it really give her the will to fight? Currently, she's like "None of these factions deserve to win, nor will any of them ever win, because the Nexus is designed to foster eternal war."

I was originally considering Miyu for the Beast, if Inner proved he wasn't one of the people that was gonna make an application, post twice, and then disappear.

Inner has definitely proved their sticking around..

Conversely, Miyu hasn't. I've been debating moving her to Minor Character status, because her will to fight has been crushed. She's got no reason to fight.
