@KoL Does that barrier prevent people from teleporting/portalling past it as well?
So.. Artoria doesn't have any attacks or defenses that seem to be up to snuff vs Eos. Anyone want to hitch a ride on the "rapid portalling out of KC-00032 to regroup" express?
@KoL@TheWindel Anyway, if there's still a problem with my post, and you'd like to change Manifest Destiny to melee only, I'd like to get to know soon, and be allowed to change my post before anyone reacts to it. This is because, Artoria would know if her ability never had range, and that would change a LOT of things about her plan of attack, what with all the changes that'd make.
@Lmpkio And I'm saying that it's by design, because I'm a demon. :P

No you did say unless he dodges it. I mean, its honestly tempting for him to get hit, but idk. I'll see what Rayona posts first and then continue with it.

Demon. :P
@TheWindel

Here is the key phrase that tells you what the ability does: "Upon inflicting what would otherwise be damage* upon a being, Artoria may instead transform them into a cute animal girl in proportion to the damage they would otherwise do."

This is a phrase that gives an example of what the ability does: "Ghosts, pure energy beings, and immaterial concepts can all be punched into cute animal girl-ness by Artoria's reality warping obsession."

This is like saying "I have an infinite storehouse of weapons. I can pull a rocket launcher out and shoot someone with it." That does not mean the infinite storehouse of weapons is limited to rocket launchers.

The very first time I used this ability, it was a ranged attack using ice. Nobody complained about the ability being ranged.

@Lmpkio Unless I made a grammatical error, everything was phrased in the "Unless Mephilius dodges, this is what will happen" sense. So, you still have like, a minute or two before the lava finishes flowing ALL the way down the tower and doing that. Artoria's at the top, you're at the bottom, and although this is very liquid lava with all the extra heat, it still takes awhile for gravity to do its magic.

That said, if you do get hit by the lava, you'll be able to temporarily access its stored power. Artoria supercharged the lava with both your pyrokinesis and Ira's black flame. As you're a fire manipulator (the one who gave Artoria fire manipulation, in fact), you'll be able to access that charged fire with your own pyrokinesis, getting effectively a free charge for your attack, like Eos did for Grafdakka, and also temporarily getting the Black Flame as a nice Buy One Get One Free to surpass your own limits. Of course, when you run out of lava, you'll be back to your own level of power.
@Lonewolf685 Mephilius was transformed with ice.

I figured ice and lava as similar in opposite sides of the same coin sense.
@KoL@Lonewolf685

Can Artoria use manifest destiny at range on other objects: Yes, she's done so before. Would you care to retcon that?

Can Artoria tell she should? Henry planted the demon flowers on an upper level. Makes sense that Artoria could see that. If had been just Mephilius at the bottom, not seeing it would make sense.
@TheWindel We can just save time by crediting Victoire for every Demon victory and still not have that big a margin of error.

This is just a case, in my opinion, of the Demon faction going "If you can't outperform 'em, assist 'em."
@KoL You're gonna hafta try a bit harder than that to stop Victoire's demon flowers.

Also, at this point, it's as much Henrietta and Artoria's attack as Victoire's, at least for this specific battle. We don't give credit to Diana for killing Leviathan or Gwynn for every time Shizuka fights someone.
