A scantron exam, but the answer is always C. Just C. Always C. Not a single A, B, D, or E. All answers are C. The statistical improbability is diabolical!

This is probably true.
But then again what is power when you are a god?
Does it matter? You are dealing with ludicrous amounts of power.
It's not a my wand is bigger than your wand competition after all, this is constructive RP.

And there is nothing stopping you from doing this. Magic is your domain after all.

Also no he is nothing like Herma Mora, as X does not require followers or knowledge. He already has what he needs, he is the embodiment of knowledge, and thus unlike Herma Mora needs to know secrets, but rather protects knowledge from being abused by making them secret. Two very different motivations.
Tell me when you need me :P
X is OP because he is quite frankly, the aspect of Omniscience. Omniscience in itself is beyond the other gods, that is to say, they may have partial knowledge of events and occurrences, but they would not know the entire web of information as X does. Hence why he appears to be far more powerful than the rest, because in this aspect of his domain, he is. After all, knowledge is power. Beyond that he is not the avatar of magic and thus does not rule the magical realm, nor the lord of death and thus cannot determine when something dies, but he can lend insight to both aspects as Knowledge is a conceptual.

I tend to have four classifications of the gods as follows:

1) Primals: These are Gods which rule over a Material/Element, e.g. Water, Light, Flesh.
2) Patronals: These are Gods which rule over an Event/Activity/Product, e.g. War, Trade, Art.
3) Eternals: These are Gods which rule over Fundamental Forces, e.g. Death, Magic, Chaos.
4) Ideals: These are Gods which rule over Ideas and Concepts, e.g. Knowledge, Justice, Corruption.

His "mind wipe" doesn't in itself target the memory of the gods, but rather purges from the universe the identity of the being. Everything else around the being suddenly forgets who that being is such as in the case of Cal, can operate under a new identity. That being said, anyone can look into X's Ledger and find the identity of the targeted being and restore it. Which is why he keeps his ledger with him at all times, should Cal desire to restore his lost divinity. And this is only capable of being done to affect the divine with the assistance of the Creator who is the aspect of Omnipotence. Yet as powerful as you can perceive him to be, X does little to directly influence the Mortal World compared to the other gods. His job, I suppose, is to keep the mortals from becoming beyond the grasp of the gods by making sure forbidden knowledge is restricted.

Well, the lore of the books was that they were scattered after the war. That is, they existed before X became god of secrets, and before the gods were divided as good or evil. The books themselves could be written by Hal and Darko, yet this would be a highly inaccurate statement as they are beyond the scope of both gods in terms of content. What would be more likely would be that sections of the books were written by multiple gods and compiled by X into two compendiums. During the wars, the mortals stole these books from X's archival library and used the tomes, including some others penned by X's Bookkeepers. From there, X is unable to retrieve these books back into his library directly, but can seal them as part of his power. That being said, why X has not recollected his books is a question to be addressed given the dangerous contents within them...

Also... what part of god of secrets did Darko mot understand? Truth, mystery and secrets. That which he rules over, he can lie and tell the truth at the same time....

Edit. The books translates itself to the reader. Knowledge without understanding is useless. Thus at the time of creation X made it the books are comprehensible by those who would read them. Also remember, these books preceded the dark and light definitions of gods. Which is why your claim to be written in a specific language should be moot.
Wraith is out for the week so Blood is in limbo. Dyleon has no fealty to the Death God. Hence his generals have no power over him.

Fun fact, Darko is actually misinformed. The books are at two different locations.

The Volume of Exalted Paragons (The Book of Ultimate Good") is in the Grand Temple of X, I am under the impression we are now attacking what is NOT the Grand Temple, which would be filled with would-be champions of the gods, not to mention attracting major issues. Originally the Grand Temple would be on an island as well... and Well defended. The Smaller Temples of X could be viable for attack. But it is within reason that Darko is misinformed about the location of this book as it is a secret treasure of the Grand Temple.

The Diabolic Folio ("The Book of All Evil") is actually in possession of a Black Moth Warlock. The Black Moths, unlike the White Moths who run the temples of X, are a sect of followers who seek to learn secrets for their own benefit. That being said, anyone can declare themselves to be a Black Moth, but by the nature of the Black Moths, they are a twisted society of schemers and backstabbers who more often work alone to meet their ends. There are some benefits though to being a Black Moth as they may barter and exchange secrets with each other, only to capitalize on them later to glean an advantage against other Black Moths.

It could be possible for Darko to send a general to hunt the Black Moth Warlock down, X does need to reclaim the books from his less moral followers.

By war scattered.
For pieces read.
By war gathered.
Peace for the dead.

Darko should not have been so naïve to believe that X had not known the who, the what and where, even the why was not beyond him. No secret of the universe was beyond his knowledge, the truest omniscience in existence was between Him and the Creator. Yet there were things beyond this universe, forces which the who dared tamper with. Like mortals who dealt with the infernal and divine, fools who knew not that they knew not what they knew. And so Darko's suggestion was completely asinine, why should one who knows more listen to the one who knows less? Even in the temples of X as bloody as they stand now, is its not the blind few who lead the many, but rather the all-knowing who leads the blind many.

"My Lord X knows all. Every outcome he has foreseen, with understanding beyond you own, Death God. For this reason I am here, to collect that which you give freely. Even now he oversees us from his realm between. The script already written into my book long before you had read the message. And while this humble servant knows not what it means, My Lord X has sent me here to bear the message to the Death God as I have done." The Bookkeeper showed no fear in speaking freely to Darko, for here it represented the mouthpiece of X.

Turning now to Hal, the Bookkeeper rotated slowly to face the Lion-God. "Lord Hal-Reftar, Lion Heart of Champions, I bear a message for you as well from my Lord. Per his request, increase your sentries around the gate. That is all he has given me to say, neither which gate nor a reason why. I trust that you will understand and execute with the same faith I have..."

Where did they go?
The dead afraid of dying?
Pathetic worms.
Rot in hell.

His recovery was easy, a gust of wind did nothing but strengthen his resolve. "Eight against Three, I like those odds..." Dyleon's smirk beneath his hood was slightly troubling. Darko's forces just left, his vampire allies were just incinerated, and now there were six mages and two warriors set against him, and the temple steps. No sane man would believe the odds were in his favour should they consider the high possibility of death. Oh wait, they couldn't kill him. Hence... Why the odds were in his favour.

His attention turned away from the mages for the moment who, had no honor in fighting toe to toe with him. Even in his human form, they exerted pressure from afar. The one which held the sword annoyed him, yet Dearg was soaked in blood, so deep that fur would never catch flame from the knight's sword, nor would his blade offer much inhibition given the fact that Dearg could hunt his prey by Scent. Blood drove them both into a frenzy, and now they stood in a field of blood.

Murdoc's companion however, was not so lucky. For you see, Dyleon had caught his scent and eyed him like a child gazing upon candy. A young squire, with a muscle-bound body surely the girls would swoon over. "I like the look of that one. His blood builds his body well... But mine better." And so with a target committed, Dyleon took to another charge, running almost upon all fours with speeds surpass the limits of the human body as the blood rushed out behind him as he ran at Geoffrey. There would be no time for the boy to react properly, Dearg was already a moving target, making way to the center of the temple as the last of the living bleed out making it hard to pin down the Dire Wolf.

A stab to the heart.
Through his stomach.
Impaling the throat.
Surprised eyes.

"Seven Now." Dyleon remarked as he pulled his spear out of the squire. A cruel visceral execution, supplemented by the man licking the bloody gushing out of Geoffrey's neck hole. Lapping it up with roots to his canine qualities before draining the warm body of the rest of its blood into Dyleon's own. Filling up with the blood of his fallen adversary, siphoning the strength of his enemies by the glory of blood.
Yes. Yes you are. Beware of those shrubs. They may jump and attack you.

Edit:

I had decided to kill the squire, assuming they are non-essential NPC's. Similar to the case of the vampires. The apprentices are next, bar Darius' since they are listed as companions/accessories.
Eh? Just start Combat X3, The Fish Scientist's already put in his two cents on the matter.
You'd be surprised how forceful X can be in the defense of the greater good. After all, he could erase your self identity from reality itself and remove those instances from your own mind... In fact he could have recalled Darius back into their little meeting by erasing the moment he teleported out from the memory of the universe. It would be like Darius never teleported to everyone but X and the creator. Then remove his knowledge of how the spells work to prevent Darius from repeating the process...

X is secretly most likely a super villain.
