Current @SaltSight Game was Astlibra: Revision. Found it on sale bundled with another game I've been wanting so I gave it a shot and got like, straight indie JRPG of the early 2000s injected into my veins.

Final Fantasy: Stranger in Paradise is the funniest shit I've ever seen while also not being a bad game. Just crack open some cold ones with the boys, blare Limp Bizket, and Kill Chaos.

So will this have a kinda steam punk feel? in terms of technology

A closer comparison would be Dieselpunk, with a bit of Atompunk being thrown in later. Most of the Technology we'd find would be radical improvments, just for an example: Finding an improved engine by salvaging it from a Shatterzone scrapyard, or finding more efficient rifle models, etc.
Magic is also a thing.
I feel that I should also mention that the weaponry level would be at about WW2 level in terms of firearms, here is some degree of magic, though I'll go into more detail in the OOC.
Word of advice: Swords are never bad to have, even against guns. Because Stabbies!

Possibly some kind of reptilian? A lizard-man feel, perhaps.

Lizard men are a possibility, though I'm not sure how they'd differ from others aside from being, well, lizards.

Faunus are usually mammal variations, but I could be mistaken.Well, if we want to be technical, and we see a female avian/reptilian/aquatic Faunus with boobs, then all Faunus, regardless of their animal trait, is a mammal and thus have belly buttons 'cause fuck the Platypus. Not really. They're an awesome variation of abnormal mammal.EDIT: Starcraft II's Arcade is free, so, like the days I've played WC3 24/7, I'm going to bury myself in that game. Until the timeskip, that is... *Cough*

General law of anything involving animalistic people means they have the potential to develop firm, nice round....

A part of our world broken and destroyed by what some call the wrath of the gods, where landmasses smashed together to form tremendous mountains, where massive beasts roam and thrive on the chaos, and the land itself froze in the sky, never to come down again. This RP is going to center around the crew of the Airship Tychon, a massive exploratory vessel designed to explore and repossess technology in the foresaken area of the world known as "The Shatterzone." There are a few other playable races aside from humans but I'll go into more detail when the OOC gets made.

This looks like it might be fun. Tentative interest pending details on playable races.

If you have any suggestions for a race, I'd be welcome to hear it. I'm a bit stretched for ideas beyond the 2 Playable ones I have.
