Name: Vivian Velvet

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Appearance:

Desire: Vivian desires to have revenge against the angels, She wants them all to suffer for what they did to her.

Ability: Her ability comes in the form of music, She is a amazing instrumentalist and can play any instrument with perfection, She can also use the power of music to summon Fireballs, Ice spikes and Electricity, further more she can use the power of music to control people, when she just learns her power she'll be able to do small things like shoot small icicles and convince people to hit themselves in the face, but at her maximum strengh she can easily raze a city or cause a riot.

She is also immune to all magic that relies on sound, as she is deaf.

Weapon: A Steel Violin

Personality: Vivian is very pessimistic and cynical, She tends to be very pragmatic and down to earth. if this hasn't convinced you yet she is a massive debbie downer.
Vivian absolutely hates all angels, due to the fact that they have ruined her life, She is very loose and hates rules of all kinds, believing that rules only exist to oppress mankind from reaching it's true potential, she is very unemphatic and is willing to kill innocents in order to get her revenge.

If this was dnd she'd be Chaotic Neutral.

Backstory: Vivian used to be the exact opposite of what her personality says, she was stupidly optimistic, She was born to a relatively poor family who also shared her optimism.

she absolutely hated music and wanted to be a archaeologist.

life was perfect for her until one day, while her parents were driving her to school, a drunken driver smashed into her car and killed her parents, Vivian got lucky though as the car crash only destroyed her hearing, causing her to be permanently deaf, The drunken driver got away with it but Vivian didn't care at all, she was so stupidly optimistic it barely affected her, this is because of the angels control over her personality, causing her not to grieve at all and simply continue on with life as if it never happened.

Vivian decided all was fine and walked to school instead to go on the field trip, then upon getting her desires back, all the grief from her parents came back and it destroyed her, She quickly found out that she hates archaeology with a passion and loves music, especially the violin, but however because she is deaf she can never hear her own music.

After Vivian found out the angels had indirectly killed her parents and ruined the joy of music, she vowed to kill every last one of them.

Personally, I REALLY like the concept of this character, at least in regards to its musical powers and what have you. (I possess a character who also possesses that same kind of magical violin.)

But @Windstormugly seems to have...problems with the CS as a whole. My other partner @Petulant hasn't commented yet.

The one problem I can personally agree with would be his problem with the Backstory. I mentioned this before, but the Angels are REAL picky assholes when it comes to their control. The free will possessed by mankind in this world is naught but an illusion to hide the control, and anything that would inhibit or disconnect them from that control over humanity, even temporarily, has to be ultimately eliminated, and has been eliminated.

This, unfortunately, includes Alcohol, a substance that was practically designed to inhibit one's sense of judgement and moral control. They'd erase beer and wine and liquor and all other Alcoholic drinks in a heartbeat, because of that. As such, Drunk Drivers do not exist in this world.

Accidents do though, for one reason or another. Even the smallest head turn can cause cataclysm in a vehicle after all.

While I don't mind her power over the elements, (Again, have the same kind of character myself,) I'd recommend the Pied Piper ability be somehow toned down, maybe by narrowing the width of her AoE or limiting the criteria of who she controls with her music.

There was also a problem he had with her Personality and her Desire, her Personality he claims as edgy as hell, and her Desire he claims as, simply put, cliche. Me? I don't really mind that myself.

That said, it does seem me and Windpipe are at odds, so I'll need to talk with Petulant in order for a solid verdict. Until then, I suggest you take what was said to heart. ^_^
Also, For future reference: As I've mentioned before, all of your characters are going to be given a nickname by the Captain. After looking through them, I've made a list of nicknames.

Tserv Dihaak= Serve (A joke on his name.)

Traveler-59= Snake (Due to his "original form")

Telasie Banther= Pain (REALLY tempted to nickname her Bitch though)

Scrap= Scrap

William Snow= Knight

Asugan Bugudan = Hook (Cause his head looks like a hook)

Victor-103= Jar (Cause he's a brain in a jar)

Varrus= Doc

Conrad Pak= Con

Rama Gildar= Rom (Rather than "Ram".)

Rannapra Eni'douis= Fae (No real reason for this one, just that a Fae, or a really pissed off Fairy comes to mind for some reason.)

Alexandra Hall= Rogue

Gold= Gold, or Chef

Vescalla Vonderbutch= Scots (Cause she's scottish.)

Reina= Rain
Very well...

I'd like for everyone who has made a CS to place it on the CHAR tab if you haven't already. I'll be starting the In-Character soon. It will still take some time though.
@Windstormugly I'm fine with that

Then she's in.

I personally don't have a problem with her Profile. And I like how you added in a Mafia. Please place her CS onto the Char tab, and I'll add her to the list. ^_^
When is the ic coming up?

Don't mean to sound pushy.

It should be coming up soon. I'm confident I'll be able to get this thing up by the end of the week at most. ^_^
@The Jest I just might play them both, we'll see... x.x

I am curious about why you prefer the second one, though.

It's mostly that prospect of "Controlling the Battlefield" which, to me, implies a strategic/tactical mind that sets up traps and gambits while in the middle of conflict against enemy forces. Combine that with her "Naive" personality, and I think it can be a good character to interact with. ^_^
This cool?

Name: Apollo Hadrian
Gender: Male/Nonbinary
Age: 17
Appearance: (I'm still looking for a good image. I might end up drawing it myself. Anyways…) Narrow face, long dark hair, amber colored eyes, rather scrawny frame, pouty lips (but that's not too noticeable since he's always scowling), long fingers, tan-ish complexion. (I'll attach an image file later)
Desire: True freedom. Apollo doesn't care about much, but one of the few things that he cares most about the ability to decide things for himself and to live his own life. He wants to live without anyone else influencing who he is.
Personality: Literally gives absolutely no f***s whatsoever. One of his prime motivators to do anything at all is the chance that he'll have fun. This makes him a bit of a jerk, considering that his apathy extends to how he treats other people. He still doesn't care about much at all, but now that he has desire, he's a bit more touchy than before and does not react well to being told what to do, even if he knows that he is being irrational.
Ability: Speed. At first, that just meant being able to move really quickly. However, he will soon learn that if he can get fast enough, the possibilities of what his power can bring him are………interesting
Weapon: A nondescript steel knife.
Backstory: He was always a sort of a loner, mostly because of his abrasive personality. But one day, while randomly wandering the streets of his city, he heard some rumors about a group of rebels against everything that society stood for. Needless to say, he was intrigued, and over time, that intrigue spun out of control and morphed into an obsession. His eagerness to find out what was going on led him to start "looking for trouble." (I'll be explaining more of his backstory as I go along. I want some of the missing information to affect the way his character develops)

In terms of power and what have you, that's fine...But in terms of personality and backstory...

I understand that it's a bit difficult to comprehend, and that the angels have essentially made your personalities loose for the illusion of free will, but just remember that until the "infection" begins, your freedom to do nothing, your apathy and sloth is merely an illusion as well, one they can take away with just a snap of the fingers.

That being said, when it comes to the backstory, I don't necessarily 'mind' it, but I just wish to confirm something: Do you understand that the backstory you made essentially means you have to wait until at least after they wake up and get started on their terrorism before your own character can step in to join?
Personally, I think the crews getting to the size that the surgeon may need an assistant. I'm assuming there are npc crew as well.

Something like that, yes. There are NPCs that serve as the essential "Red Shirts" if you will. XD

And I did NOT want to double post...Whoops.
I'm having a bit of a problem: I can't decide between two characters. Both of them are boarding party (obviously), and they are both made to be demolitions experts, though how they work is a bit different. I would like peoples opinions on which one they want to see more, please.

1) An Alori Explosives expert, a monkey Alori specifically, named Montgomery "Monty" Kong. He is essentially a slightly insane explosives expert who weilds a grenade launcher and a bizarre array of explosives, often themed around banana and monkey puns.

2) A female human cyborg who is based around Magnetism, a cross between demolitionist and front-line tank who would be about defending allies and controlling the battlefield. Her personality is somewhat withdrawn, logical and naive.

Huh, Like the others, I actually like both cases here. I don't mind multiple characters per player, so long as they themselves can handle the extra stress. But ultimately, it's your choice.

Personally, I prefer the second one. ^_^
I agree with Windpipe. Happy to have you aboard, Silvir. ^^
