I cannot - for the life of me - manage to manually turn off my PS4 by pressing the button. My damn cat, however, manages to hit it every single she even bypasses the console.

My kids found an old Barbie TV from when I was a kid - you know, the kind that was huge and boxy with a tiny-ass screen - and my daughter said "No, mommy, TV's are flat." Another parenting fail.

My kids don't understand what a (computer) mouse is or how to use it. They keep poking and swiping at my monitor. I have failed as a parent.

I'm thinking it needs to have lyrics, just to make it more of a pain.

So, it can be like .... "(What doesn't kill you makes you) Stonger" by Kelly Clarkson = Sebastian Shaw type powers

And a bit more out there - "Animal" by Disturbed = Lycantropy of some version

I think I'd steer away from really obvious ones, like "Let It Go" from Frozen and shit like that.
@The Mad Hatter Are you still up to drawing Light or nah?

I'm still at it. I've just got a lot of shit on my plate these days and have, like, half an hour a day for actually doing what I wanna do. I'll get more time when we hit the weekend.

Y'all know when you're stuck by a really silly idae and kinda wanna make it happen and yet know it's too stupid to ever see the light of day? Or is it just me in dire need of professional help?
Anyway, I was listening to music and though; "Wouldn't it be funny to make a Superhero RP where all characters (powers) would have to be based on a song? So ... I've been listening to songs that I could make into superheroes ever since (which is, like, 2 hours).
If you've got any, hit me.
Oh, well, since this has obviously died, I might as well ask;

@Polaris North, who is that FC?! And why is he so SCRUMPTIOUS!?! He seems familiar, but I just can't place it.
I like Deadpool a lot. Though most of my favs are Marvel heroes because DC heroes are too... whats the word... Overshadowed and ruined by the mere presence of Superman?

For villains. Marvel Dr. Doom is pretty good and will make a great return when Fox finally gives up the Fantastic 4 license. DC, probably the Joker or Lex. DCAU made sure of that.

Superhero stories are more comedy than serious broody stuff anyway. Because they aren't ever allowed to be 'serious' if they go broody, otherwise Joker would dissolve everyone, Batman/Tony would destroy everyone with nanobots, and it would be a big mess.

Deadpool is ... Deadpool. I never actually read his comics (they weren't available in Denmark, like lots of the newer and "less popular" comics). My long-time, on-site friend (wow, I guess it's more than ten years already) vouches for him and tells me that he is his FAVORITE SUPERHERO even though he isn't that into superheroes (or Sci-Fi in general). So, I'll just have to take your word for it and guess that his comics were surely better than that awful movie.
My fiancé, looking over my shoulder as I wrote this, stated that Deadpool is AWESOME!

Joker is definitely one of my favorite villians, as well. Lex is cool, too, and I feel he'd be a better villian if his counterpeice wasn't ... Superman (ugh). I have never liked Superman, so I never really read that much of the comics; just bita and peices here and there. Like, other heroes are just "meh" to me (like Batman) and I just feel nothing towards them, but Superman is one of the few that I really just don't like

I agree with that last statement. I couldn't have said it better myself.

ALSO:
@Jones Sparrow Where have you disappeared to?
Even when it was Terry, Batman was just ... meh. I never really got hooked and I think that's the problem. With most of the characters I like (including my own) there's been a moment where I just went "Wow! I like this dude/chick!". It may also just have been the fact that I was considerably older when I was introduced to DC since my dad was an avid Marvel supporter.

Magneto ... I've never really considered him a "villian" in that sense. He's more of an antihero to me. He's a constant in the comics and despite doing some (REALLY) bad things, he's more often actually helping out the heroes than fighting against them.

I never really cared for Cylops/Scott. He was always a dick, as you say, but he wasn't the good kind of dick (). I never found him likable. I think I stopped reading the comics before the version you're talking about.
Iron man (Who could have guessed? ) I have a background in mechanical engineering and it's the first superhero I came to contact with (The shitty 90s animated series unfortunately, but I was a kid so I lived it) That is if we're talking Marvel. From DC it's definitely Batman. Similar to Stark, I like the fact that through ingenuity and persistence the normal humans can match and beat superhumans of various kind.

I always liked Tony Stark's sense of humor in the comics which have been translated quite well into the series/movies/non-comic-stuff.
I've never been a fan of Batman. Sure, I watched the various animated series, but I never really got excited over Batman (or any DC heroes, really) like I did with a lot of the Marvel heroes.

Also, I'm a Marvel kind of girl, but I think Marvel has some pretty lme villians. DC on the other hand has kickass (no pun intended) villians - I'm absolultely in love with their female villians especially and Ivy just tickles all of my fancies.
I've been busy and sick, but I'm back now (still sick, though). My post is in the making and is waiting to accepted for posting due to stuff.

So... I've always felt that an RP with an active OOC tends to live long and prosper, so let's get our geek-balls rollin', right?

What is your favorite superhero/villian and why?

Mine's Gambit. Always has been and always will be. I was just a little girl, reading the X-Men comics (because those were my favorite due to the many different characters) and I swear that my first ever crush was on a fictional playboy when I was, like, seven. My dad had all the old, original comics stored in boxes and it unleashed my inner geek when I found them
There's probably a lot of heroes/villians that that has better powers and shit, but Gambit just has a special place in my heart
It was fine. There was a lot of chocolate, screaming and crying - some of it was even by the kids. The older kid refused to eat anything but white bread with butter and screamed at me when I gave her a soda, 'cause she wanted milk instead. The little one started crying every time I raised the fork to my mouth. The joy of parenting.
I got a yellow "forget-me-not" flower from my great aunt and candy that my kids will probably eat from everyone else - we just exchange easter eggs and shit 'cause we're too lazy to actually do anything. Luckily, I also got one of those scratch ticket and I thought I'd won 50.000, but I just couldn't count and didn't win squad. AND my kids got a HUGE ASS STUUFED BUNNY that fills up half of their room and makes the LOUDEST noise when you press it. I'm so happy.
I'm just dropping in to let y'all know that I should be able to make my first post sometime tomorrow.
So... I'm gonna have to be that person. I'm simply too busy these days to actually get anything done. Easter break means getting the house and yard ready.
