@ClocktowerEchos I am interested as hell!
"Me being a prince means everything as an Atlantean. I am stronger than my average brethren and the residents of the ocean obey my command. I also have diplomatic immunity but I guess that is not of importance.", he looked at Hoverfly, "So it does mean pretty much but I don't blame you for not knowing that."
Joshua realized he was already pissing most of them off. Well it was not like he was trying to make friends on the surface world. And if he was honest with himself they all seemed like relatively nice people.
Just as he had finished that thought Nevan made her comment. The condescending tone of the demoness gave Joshua headaches.
"Be careful who you are calling a boy witch. Atlantis has some of the most powerful mages of this world, we had mastered the arcane arts when the rest of the world hadn't even invented the wheel jet. You don't need to lecture me in magic but thank you for the explaination."
She was right about the communication however, nobody seemed to be a telepath.
"Fang. You say to have the highest IQ in here. How should we communicate in your opinion?", while Joshua was expecting an answer he continued speaking, "Like I said I will attack from the water. I would also take the role of destroying the merchandise, if nobody has a problem with that."
Five simple words and they shattered Xho. She wanted to be alone. And since he was the only one traveling with her she just meant he should leave. "Sure... Talia, I will see you with the others. Take care.", he immediately turned around and left. It was a curse. The Goddess or whatever higher power there was made him atone for the sins of his father. He wanted to take care of the girl, protect her. Even though Xho knew that Talia could defend herself with her magic.

"And the letter didn't even say where to go...", he turned to a peasant who looked like a local, "Excuse me, where is the palace?"
The man looked at Xho, than spat in front of him. "Get out of here fucking Jzarean bastard, we don't want your kind!", snarled the peasant.

Most people saw Xho more as a hunter than a Jzarean but then there were the other people. Xho said nothing and walked past him, getting a better answer from the next person he asked. The palace was the most logical meeting point, or at least Xho thought so.
And after a few minutes of walking and gazing at the festivities Xho was proven right. He could see two familiar faces in the distance. How ironic the first two were Balthier and Lethodus.

"Good day my fellow hunters. How has the road been treating you?"

@Argetlam350@TemplarKnight07
"When were you two ever leaders? In your highschool footballteam? I on the other hand have experience.", Joshua gave each Chris the same amused look. The comments from the demoness made his eyes roll. What difference should their be between a King and a leader? He thought to himself. But it was kind of interesting that no woman wanted the position.

"We can discuss for hours about the philosophical concept of leadership but it will have no use. Rose is right. We should first focus on the mission at hand. And I like the idea with the darkness. My atlantean eyes can see in darkness far better than any humans, so I would be less disadvantaged than our enemy's. I guess our group ninja is also trained in fighting in complete darkness?", he looked to Jacklyn, "Also bullets can hurt me, so I too would like to avoid them."

It was a strange group and even stranger was that no one decided to not be part of it. Perhaps everyone had their own agenda? Joshua sure did.

"However I see no problem with using force,in special cases even lethal one against these criminals. Also it is at the harbor. I would most likely start an attack from the water. I guess nobody would join me in that but it would still be a way to surround them."
Nevan coming in hot with the sharp tongue and the sick burns! Jacque may need to bust out the healing magic sooner than I thought, lol.

Joshua might need to take a dive now :(
"I had many bad hunts and even more hunts were I already made my peace with the goddess but this one was a special kind of bad. It is a shame we could not save their bodies. They deserved a proper funeral. But their hunt is over now.", Xho was glad to finally get of the boat as he marveled at the beauty that was Isamanca. He had not set foot on a boat until he was nearly 20 and ever since hated it. "Isn't the city beautiful? Back in the empire we only...", Xho stopped speaking. He probably should not speak about the place where Talia's life was a living nightmare.

He knew his relationship with here was incredibly difficult. When they both were in Qarne, the last survivors of their group, he noticed it especially. When a group of three local drunks in the tavern called here a dirty witch he snapped, breaking the arm of the first one in 2 different places. He was exhausted, wounded and in mourning but still a hunter, the drunks never had a chance. But when he was finished with them he noticed it. Talia taking a step back. His father, the man who's face he was cursed to have, was violent and cruel to her. Him breaking bones probably did not help to convince her that he was different...

"You did very good on the mission Talia.", he tried to change the topic, "The fact that you survived proves that."

Talia, Xho and six other hunters were sent to investigate an undead occurrence in the sunken tombs of Qarne. They had the task to pacify some desert ruins who lay dormant since ages. It was nothing Xho and the other hunters had not seen before. Undead, awakened by some ancient necromancy. The only problem was to find the source of the evil magic in the gigantic labyrinth of chambers and graves in a complete darkness. It took four days and six hunters to find the ancient statue.

Even the nearly legendary Huntress-Captain Marzia Ossa, who some hunters had called The Iron Maiden did not make it out alive. It was a suicide mission to begin with but six dead hunters was a disaster. The only solution after Xho basically carried the scrawny witch out on his shoulders was to destroy the ruins. Talia had to gather all her power, letting the building collapse on itself.

"I wonder what the reason is we were ordered here?", Xho was looking at all the mummers and bards. Here he actually did not stand out that much. He still got disgusted and fearful looks but even with his dubious heritage and jewelry he was not the most colorful character. "Lethodus is a good hunter. Have you met him?", Xho regretted asking that question, Talia never really talked to anyone. "Well you will meet him and remember Talia.", he turned his body to her, "As long as there is still some blood in me and I have my weapon I won't ever let anything happen to you."
@kaijubaragon The fight for the leader position shall begin!
Joshua felt completely wrong with all this, he had hundreds of questions and an equal number of demands. However he guessed neither of both desires would be satisfied. The mysterious Lady seemed to know more about the darkness than she was telling. Most likely she was withholding information.
A winged girl said the first sentence, explaining that she had the power of flight and fire manipulation. Fire? I hate fire... The first one who asked a question was a young, weirdly clothed man, now that Joshua looked everyone here was young.
The third person who said something was a small, actually pretty cute, woman. She introduced herself as Shadow Ninja, not the most creative name but then again what name was. She just seemed to be an talented fighter. I will watch and decide about that... After her another beautiful woman introduced herself, she had mental powers. After she finished talking to the other two woman and the barkeeper explained his levitation powers Joshua decided he could introduce himself. His blue eyes surveyed the room, before he talked.
"My name is Arid Atla-Son, second heir to the throne of Atlantis and grandson of Orin Atla-Son, Aquaman. You surface dwellers may address me as Joshua Curry. I obviously have the superior physiology of my species and was trained by the best warriors my people had to offer! And if you might have read anything in the press, those vultures lie about me nothing more.", one had to admit there was authority in Joshua's voice, it was a voice which demanded respect if Joshua deserved it was a different question. "Our mysterious, masked Lady already addressed the most important thing. If we are going to be a team we need a leader." He looked at Chris, "My grandfather taught me that leadership is no blessing but a responsibility. I myself think that I am clearly the most qualified and deserving candidate for that position."

So stop me if you already know this one:
A winged girl, an illusionist, a ninja, a demon, a faceless man, a voodoo priest, a boy who controls light and an atlantean prince walk into a bar...
Joshua

Joshua was leaning on the reeling on the balcony of a high end club called The Oasis. Bludhavens spoiled little brats went here to party and have a good time, also an expensive time. Joshua hated it here. A few girls already made a move and spoke to him, but he was not in the mood for that kind of entertainment. He stared down on the streets, a few cars and pedestrians were still on their way to or from wherever.
He turned around an saw a cute, little blonde smile at him. He smiled back. "Hey bro did you just look at my girlfriend like that?", an incredibly buff Latino came to Joshua. He was visibly drunk and wanted a fight. Joshua was in the mood for this kind of entertainment. The Prince smiled. "And if I did thought guy?", Joshua said as provocatively as possible. The response was a punch right in Joshua's face. A normal person would have probably be thrown over the railing, Joshua just smiled a bit more.
He stopped the second punch with his hand and applied a little force, just a little... a few bones broke perhaps but well... "Not so though now asshole?", the guy had never a chance against Joshua's Atlantean strenght. "Stop it he is my boyfriend! He is just drunk!", the blonde girl punched Joshua's shoulder screaming.
Joshua snapped out of his rage. What was he doing? He was making a fool out of himself fighting with drunk humans. This was beneath him. He let the hand go and jumped over the balcony. Leaving behind a bunch of bluffed club goers. "He was one of them superhumans!", declared one of them.
As the young atlantean prince did a more or less graceful landing on a nearby house and then jumped down again from that he noticed he may have had a bit to much to drink. "Fuck.", Joshua wanted to make his way to his apartment when he suddenly saw a masked figure in front of him. "Who are you?" The masked figure did not answer, "The Archer, a bar in eastern downtown. Tell the Bartender 'The Arrow shoots straight' if you want to help this city."
"Listen you wannabe vigilante, if you think you can give me orders or that...", he walked forward while saying this and pulled out a short golden staff from his pocket, something clicked and it turned into a full trident, "... I am going to follow them than you can go..." Joshua was stopped in his movement by some force. He used all his force but it was no use, he could not move. And even worse his head was turned by the same force, he struggled as hard as he could to no avail. Then suddenly he was free but his tormentor was gone. "By Neptunes beard what who was that?"
He should go to the bar, that barman would give him answers...
Joshua nearly broke the door when he entered. "The Arrow shoots straight."
