Ben looked around before settling on a transaction to watch. After several moments he lifted a hand and pulled what appeared to be a handful of 500 yen coins from the air. A very simple application of illusion. He handed them to Hibiki and they even had the weight that would be expected of them.

"I think that some hot food would be best. We will be able to plan better with full stomachs."

The man was, predictably, flattened before he could even complete his turn. He pulled the trigger before even bringing the weapon to bear, spraying the side of a building with a burst of gunfire that caused the pedestrians on the street to erupt into panic.

While posessing reactions far from the reflexes of trained soldiers, the others managed to turn around before before the last of the gunshots had finished echoing between the buildings. One of them caught some sort of miniature, demonic primate to the face. Fortunately this one accidentally dropped his weapon in his blind panic.

The others aimed their weapons at Youmu and then took a collective step back in fear.

"Sh-Shit. It's her."

Flagg disregarded the situation behind him, breaking into a run without a backward glance. The Walking Dude knew to run when he had to. He did however give voice to some parting words.

"It was nice knowing you gentlemen."

Investigator Karos was a large and imposing demon. His skin had been black with red iridescence. As Lacintos neared the end of the hallway he stood up straighter and grew into a more imposing build. The real Karos was buried about a hundred paces away from the very same road that He expertly imitated the investigators bearing and gait, walking with that sense of urgency, shoulders squared and feet pointed ever so slightly outwards. Even without a radical change of expression he seemed to glower at all that he saw.

At the end of the alleyway he had to turn slightly sideways to fit through the narrow space at the end. His headquarters, which housed his office on the ground floor and residence on the top. Lacintos, under the guise of Karos walked in through the front door, into a second room and sat at his desk. Ont op of it, delivered by courier just after the appointing of the candidates was a file on what was known about Dengran Minsau.
This an entirely scratch built setting. If you're looking for a 'traditional' fantasy setting this might not be the Rp for you.
What you need is a character with a personality that will interact with other characters in an interesting way. I can't see the Pontiff interacting with anyone aside from trying to kill them.
At least they can kill Flagg over and over again

Indrau wheeled his horse around, away from the destruction he had caused to that flank. The residual heat from the blast would make that area difficult to cross for some time. Out of the corner of his eye he caught a streak of light that was deflected with just an instant to spare.

He urged his mount into action, galloping towards the treeline. He drew his blade once he was far enough away from friendly knights to avoid disrupting their magic. Indrau didn't know who else might be able to break away from the fight. Most of the other knights appeared to currently be bogged down in the melee, including his own lancers.

It only took a moment to catch her breath and pick up a fallen orc weapon. When the first enemy moved towards her she drove the point of the weapon through its armor hard enough to snap it off at the hilt and throw the orc into those behind it. Salz snarled what was undoubtedly a expletive in her native tongue and dropped the useless handgrip.

She found something more suitable on the ground, a crude looking club. With it she began to batter her way towards where the knights seemed to be concentrated most heavily.

That answer... really wasn't. Sure, it answered the question he'd asked directly but it had been foolish of him to not ask something more meaningful. Maybe he was still reeling from finding himself in such an alien place, cut off from everything he had known before. A fresh world, startlingly bereft of any overt magic or any races he knew of so far. No blue skinned Napans, muscled Barghest or towering Toblekai. Aside from himself the overwhelming majority of people here all looked so similar and ordinary. Neither did there seem to be anyone bearing any kind of weapons around.

"Tokyo, I see now. We both seem to be in the same sort of situation although you strike me as being more at home than I am."

Truthfully this was far from the first time Quick Ben had ended up in a strange place but usually he had some sort of ally to rely on. Someone backing him, either mortal of divine.

"I think that first I should find something to eat and then maybe somewhere to stay for the night."

Flagg and his cohorts pushed through the crowd. Their obvious prison uniforms and brandished weapons easily cleared the sidewalk ahead of them but did little to help them pass unnoticed. Fortunately the bulk of the police force was occupied in the still ongoing firefight in the battle for Rikers island.

Still, it was inevitable that the group came across an officer on patrol. Flagg waved his hand and the man flew into a wall with a crunch of shattered bones. That really got people moving. Once the general population realizes that their protectors are powerless it takes very little to push them into a state of mindless terror.

He picked up the pace and even above the sounds of panic the sounds his cowboy boots made on the sidewalk heralded his approach.

"Keep moving folks. I've got a lunch date at a certain tower."

Soon enough the entrance to the subway station he had been moving towards came into view as the crowd that he herded ahead of him moved past it.

The sentry caught the coin and slouched as the newcomers left, abandoning all pretense of respect for his task. Well this individual wasn't the sentry, not the real one. After a moment the real sentry returned and he resumed his upright posture.

"Thanks for filling in for me."

"No problem. Oh, I heard that we're expecting a guest today. Keep an eye out." Lacintos bumped fists with the other goblin and handed the spear back. He started walking away towards the corner of the nearest building.

"Hey, I never got your name."

The shapeshifter paused. He'd never paid much attention to goblins or their names. "It's, uhhh, Ilk."

Without waiting for a response he turned the corner. Even as he walked down the empty alleyway his limbs lengthened and he tripled in height. The demons skin grew pale with red tribal markings and horns sprouted.

So that was the candidate for the region. He didn't look like much and neither did his companion. This was, of course, the last thing that Lacintos expected when he assassinated a demon noble with the intent to glide through life in the lap of luxury. But now maybe this could work out to be even more fun.

The trolls were beginning to be engaged and taken down one by one. He stood up in his stirrups and reached into the leather satchel he had taken with him. The single clay tile inside had an inverted form of the rune he had used to heat his tea earlier. This absorbed heat and even now it was coated in a layer of frost.

Indrau unwrapped it carefully and threw it over the heads of his own troops. He noted the positions of Tyeathe and others within the orc formations and galloped over to a flank furthest from them. He threw it out and when the tile smashed it let out all of the stored heat, everything from sitting in a forge fire overnight.

The orcs nearest were incinerated in their armour, steel melting. Others were knocked down by the blast and burned.

She spun out of the way, avoiding most of the impact and taking the rest on her shoulder. It's reaction told that it was possible to break through the haze of drugs. As fast as its charge was she had an easier time avoiding it than she had the airborn orc.

With one hand she grasped one of its arms, pulling to add to its momentum. On the other side she met the charge head on. With her elbow.

The result was a stomach churning crunch as it met the trolls face and sent a jolt up her arm. Unsure if the blow would have enough of an effect she followed it up with an overhead strike from her other elbow.

The troll dropped like a humongous sack of bricks. Salz stood over it, panting slightly through the mail covering her face. Underneath was an expression of rage. The orc that had been thrown at her moved and she stepped over to it, delivering a kick that snapped its neck and sent its helmet flying.
