Name: Vira Anthello
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Rank: 3 of Coins
Appearance:

Personality:
"While potentially brilliant she is easily distracted and is possessed of an appalling disregard for personal and public safety. Her disturbing interest in such destructive subjects makes her an alarmingly dangerous liability that the school no longer wishes to be responsible for."
Alchemist College Faculty, upon her dismissal from the school

Vira possesses a manic and impulsive personality, prone to rash decisions and changing her mind. This trait enabled her to make often astounding leaps of logic but she would fail to stay in any discipline of study to make great use of them. The single greatest exemption to this was any topic with potentially destructive ends.

As far of relationships are concerned she can be empathetic, caring deeply about the thoughts and feelings of others. She doesn't often think about the more physical effects of her actions, potentially thoughtlessly destroying property.
Brief Backstory:
Vira Anthello grew up as the eldest daughter of a mildly well off family. To pursue her passions she took out a loan to attend the Alchemists school, successfully completing two years of study before impulsive nature resulted in her being expelled from the school.

Now in debt without any official credentials in her chosen field of study, Vira has no choice but to undertake a less academic profession. Becoming an adventurer appeared to be the perfect compromise between pursuing her passion for destruction and employing her craft.

Equipment:
Vira carries a variety of chemicals to be deployed in different forms, from volatile explosive compounds in clay spheres to glass vials of acids and poisons. Many of her creations are bespoke for specific situations and several more general concoctions.

Skills:
Chemistry, specialized towards various reactive and destructive compounds. She has studied both organic and inorganic chemistry and can also create compounds that interact with living things.

Vira has a spectacular memory, never having to take notes and being able remember a procedure or formula after using it only once.
In for a penny in for a pound.

The detective mirrored the lawyers stare with a slight smirk. Lawyers always tended to antagonize him a little bit and Donovan took what chances he could to poke fun at Steven.

“That’s a high number of guards for the amount of attendees, I wonder if some of them are personal guards for the attendees.”

The next day he showed up shortly after Mao, himself clad in a business suit carefully tailored to hide the presence of a concealed pistol and baton as well as the stab proof vest and vambraces underneath. While waiting for the others he organized the plan in his head.

“A frontal assault won’t be practical in any case, neither would a diversion from the outside. We’ll have two teams. Lundgren, Abigail, Yang and Mao will go for the artifacts. They will attempt to keep a low profile for as long as possible.”

He pointed to those mentioned and placed a handful of duffel bags on the ground. He had hesitated over including Yang in the plan as anything other than a lookout but the artifact team would need an extra hand and it would be beneficial to keep the girl with her guardian. Lundgren and Abigail had already had some friction but they would have to work together sooner or later, they were also two of the more offense oriented contractors.

“They rest will be with me in abducting the attendees. Both teams will stay together until we find the artifact storage area. Until that point I will keep us cloaked under Féth fíada. When we leave the artifact team, they will begin to bag up everything that they can, leaving combat until there is no other choice. After my team as abducted as many as possible I will return and we will escape, once again cloaked.”

He unbuttoned his jacket for easier access to his handgun and lead the way.

“I may have someone of my own looking into things.”

Sylvie returned to the counter and came back with a drink of her own, spelling of cinnamon and other spices. She sat across from Soushi and inhaled while sitting quietly for several seconds.

“Raijuu, huh? And why that one? The world is a lot smaller than it used to be and maybe some other lightning deity has decided to wake up this sleepy town. Perhaps Thor or Perun has paid us a visit.”

She sipped her drink and gave a coy smile.

The white haired girl in what was almost a mockery of a school uniform strolled down the street, hands jammed deep into her pockets. In fact she attended no school, having no need or desire. But a uniform made it easier to casually blend in with a crowd. A casual glance would reveal a likeness to a certain cafe owner. Someone who looked more closely could almost see them as siblings.

The clone, thought of as an elder daughter, stared intently at the location of the lightning strike with a sullen, rebellious teenager kind of expression.

He nodded to Tyaethe, readying his blade. Any construct so large could hardly be made up of a single piece of stone. All they had to do was take it apart a little at a time. As the other knight struck her blow he followed in less than a heartbeat behind with a powerful lunge that had his whole body behind it. Indrau drove the point of his blade into the damaged stone and twisted it violently to widen any cracks. Any animating force in the area around the damage would have ceased.

He followed through with a step that dragged the blade free, moving away from the swinging limb.

After dropping off Abigail at the book shop, the detective left to drop of the borrowed vehicle at the police motor pool as soon as possible. He almost would have liked to see how the newcomer would deal with Mount Lundgren but had a hunch that she shouldn’t have any issues. Anyway, he had wrung a promise from big man to behave himself, which meant that with Donovan asking the question that the subject had every intention of following through with the promise.

It didn’t take long to return with his beloved bike, the nimble vehicle managing the city traffic with ease. It was almost physically painful when he was forced to use a car for any reason but he was forced to bear with it for work. After parking up outside he pulled off his helmet and slipped inside of the door, standing quietly against the wall to watch. He caught the end of the briefing from Stephen.

“And I’m assuming we want to keep this quiet. It’s not like we can simply use the police department to do the heavy lifting. How many are we expecting to show up for the auction anyway?”

“Certainly,” she replied in a near monotone. There was just enough warmth and inflection in her voice to show that there was still an actual person behind the words.

Sylvia nodded and moved over to the counter, gesturing to one of the nine tables. As she turned her back she flashed a private smile. She busied herself preparing the geeen tea.

“So have you heard anything about the interesting weather we had? A bolt of lightning out of a clear sky. Or do you not find it interesting, considering that you’re here instead of there.”

“I don’t care about drawing attention as long as I get the job done”, a small lie, though in this case Hibiki and the other girl had done most of the work. He stood for a moment to think through the situation. He didn’t know what the earthquake might have to do with the wolf, if the beast had been in the service of some god he could contact it might simplify matters… or not. Involving deities rarely made achieving an outcome any easier.

This helmeted rider seemed to have a much better grasp on the situation than anyone else did.

“Why don’t we all head to the epicentre of things and take the wolf with us. You didn’t say that it had outright attacked anyone yet, indeed, it appeared to be fleeing. So let’s let it take the lead and see what comes of it.”

Things had gone very quickly from a nice dinner with some new friends to something well outside of her experience. Things not proceeding as intended was certainly something that Ennisis had experience with but the alien looking monsters that could have just crawled out of a cheap movie set were utterly outside of anything she could have considered.

One thing she did know was that most things went down if you put enough holes in them, herself being an exception. And since she had not seen any other immortals or hommunculi that she would have recognized, Ennis had no reason to think that this situation would differ.

She drew her pistol from under her jacket and opened fire, deciding right away that her next move should be to take one of the alien weapons for herself. Next to an apparent ghost swinging a sword with inhuman speed and a tusked man that was annihilating things with his bare hands she felt a little bit under prepared.

This train of thought was interrupted as a blast took her hand and gun with it. She growled in pain and anger, sprinting the last few steps even as the mangled limb began to regenerate and jumped onto the tall, hulking thing. She ignored the breaking bones as it battered at her body, digging her fingers ever deeper into its eye sockets until the thing abruptly stopped its struggles.

With a hand that was unmarked by its recent destruction she picked up the dropped weapon, wincing at the lingering pain and memory of pain. Now she moved swifter, enjoying the light recoil and gratifying effectiveness of the weapon.
