Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

@Jessica Bunny: You live in America! College is optional (and expensive) and around you is opportunity. I believe you can make it!

Solomon finished his exercise - withe extreme difficulty. He slogged back, panting heavily, and looked around for The Wizard. "I . . . Ugh, have finished the . . . reccomended exercise!" he declared, before hurling all over the floor. "Apologies . . . I -pant- don't appear to be feeling so well . . ."
Meruin paused, opened her mouth to speak, closed it, shook her head, opened her mouth again, then just shrugged. In all honesty, what was she supposed to say? She was never the most sociable person in the first place, so her feelings about having a party were most likely biased, so she couldn't tell them to just tone it down. She frowned when she saw the alcohol. Oh, and she would definitely have words with Marcus later about trying to pry secrets from people. Meruin was just about to say something when she sensed a large spike of energy . . . near the Boys Corridor. Wonderful, the one place she wasn't alloowed to go to. She faced Marcus and stared him down. "There's a disturbance at the boys dorm, I request you investigate it," she said, hoping the ruffian would actually do his job as a Council member.
Seren had no idea what to do for help, so she gave a reassuring smile. "Well, we can always ask your family for help? Anyway, I think you should focus on your Hunter Card. I think it would be useful to the team. We can have you at ranged, Oxana to help out, me to defend and Lindsey to fight close." She gave a small grin. "Besides, if you start learning how to use your Guardian Card, I'll be useless won't I?" she half-joked. Seren pulled out two shields and held them in each arm. "Why don't we test out your Hunter card more?"
@DaDrummer676@Slendy@olcharlieboi Meruin turned towards the forest - the number of people there was increasing. Looks like the party was starting early. With a sigh, she took a single step and the world around her shifted. The scenery was replaced with foliage and fauna, and the faint sense of magic in the air. She was in the forest. From here, she could clearly see three boys conversing with each other, on what terms, she did not know, however she did know that the forest was a popular place to fight. "Excuse me . . ." she called out.
Meruin shook her head, but nevertheless looked displeased. "A party this early in? It's rather . . . well, perhaps it's simply because I am not very social," she said vaguely. "Well, in any case, the wild expression of feelings that is a party is bound to be dangerous considering the student body. I might have to go to make sure it doesn't get out of hand." She grumbled a bit. "Thank you again for the match - it was an enjoyable one for the start of the semester, but for now I'll be going to investigate this. You may come if you wish," invited Meruin, walking out the door, the plant still in her arms. The moment she stepped out of the girls dorms, she tapped her feet and a wave of magic coursed through the whole school. She could feel spikes of energies going up in several places, and there was no shortage of bloodlust. She pouted - parties and fights not even a week in; she didn't know whether to be exasperated or impressed. "Where do I go first?" wondered Meruin as she processed the knowledge of notable occurrences of magic or bloodlust.
Seren nodded. "Oh, okay. Um . . . here," she said showing Annie the jewel embedded in the center of her outfit. "I get my power from here." The younger girl looked on in wonder as Annie procured her old book and demonstrated her magic. As someone who had little experience as a magical girl, seeing other's abilities was always astonishing for her. "Wow, pretty!" she remarked. "So, uh, your cards are able to grant special abilities or something? Wow, that's way more useful than my ability right now."
Meruin felt the magic of the dove before she could see it and frowned as it approached her. Letting the letter drop into her hands, she burnt the container without touching the note itself - just in case it was cursed. She read the note then looked at Elza. "Do you . . . know something about this?" she said slowly.
@Eklispe Meruin floated down slowly and her feet tapped the floor. She looked over at Elza and gave a small smile. "That was a good match. Having control over the terrain definitely makes it harder to hold you down," she said. "We should do this again sometime." She snapped her fingers and the vines wrapping Elza untangled and sank into the ground. Soon, a small plant popped up and quickly grew into a shrub - it was a plant made by all the energy that had been absorbed from her. Meruin picked it up and held it up for inspection. "I wonder what properties this one would have . . ." she muttered.
[@Eklipse] The wooden tendrils took mere seconds to go through the debris and attempted to wrap themselves around Elza and drain her once more. They moved so quickly because they did not tear through the obstacles, but grew around them, using them as leverage to grow more. At that moment, Meruin herself flew backwards and out of range; that was because the magic circles had returned and surround the area. "Rain of Fire," Meruin once again intoned - in response, the area around Elza was once again bathed in a sea of hot light.
Elza grinned, as she expected Meruin had stopped her yet again, but Elza of course had been prepared this time. Just before she hit Meruins barrier, she flung the shadow around her in front of herself hurling herself through another portal and coming out from the floor on the level beneath their dorm and the hundreds of fireballs were wasted slamming into the roof unless Meruin knew something Elza didn't. As she came hurtling through the air Elza also mentally grabbed the shadowy floor Meruin was standing on and flipped it upside and pulled it towards her causing the two mages to hurtle towards each other. If Elza wasn't stopped by another of Meruin's tricks she would land on the shadowy platform with her Scythe around Meruin's neck. At least that was the plan
Meruin supposed it was only natural that she would have the literal home-field advantage. That mattered little in the long run, however. The magic circles followed Elza downwards, while Meruin met Elza's charge head on. She supposed that she should be a bit rougher on her. As she hurtled towards Elza, she muttered a few words and magic circles appeared beside Meruin. Out came Sacred Sealing Wood, and again they came rushing towards an Elza that was flying straight towards them. Then, Meruin's hair glowed and rapidly became silver in color, and they shielded the short mage while at the same time spearing straight towards the other girl, with a faint charge of energy beneath them, obviously hinting that they were stronger than they looked.
