Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

@Jessica Bunny: You live in America! College is optional (and expensive) and around you is opportunity. I believe you can make it!

HAHAHA! Jake is so going to freak when he hears what house Julius is in xD That's right Jake, you talked with a Slytherin. Can you feel the corruption and evil~?! @Avanhelsing

@Eyeris Do you mind if I post first or should I wait for the others?

"Exercise and a hot shower is it? Hm, I must admit that it's very you," replied Karen, looking at Leo scrambling around. She chuckled before saying, "and I think that is why we don't bring pets to the dining hall. I wanted to point it out earlier, however it seemed like you knew what you were doing; clearly I was mistaken."

There was absolutely no malice in her voice, but the way she said it was just cutting to the ears. Shortly afterwards, the girl raised a long brow as Damian began chucking bacon at his friends.

"I'll have to ask you to stop doing that, Damian. While I've no qualms about you calling the attention of your friend, needlessly wasting food is rude to those that have none," she said, before using a for to pierce a piece of sausage and biting into it. She took a moment to chew and swallow the meal before speaking again. "The world is not so frivolous a place that you can just go and discard food for such a menial task."

What I don't like though: No Zhuge Liang?! That's an outrage! He was a strategist, magician and inventor all at the same time! He's up there with all the great strategists and Archimedes got picked over him!? Nay, I refuse to consider such a travesty!
Here's a hint: It doesn't~!

In all seriousness though, that power's gonna be useless here: Where would you even fit that? Unless of course you can summon the army, but incomplete so it doesn't clog up the classrooms?

Deia looked quizzically at Nina. Her orders made absolutely no sense to the small girl; back then, her masters would become displeased if she talked too much, and she made it a point to communicate with them only as necessary, and even then they preferred to do so by talking with their heads. Also, her previous masters always urged her to use her powers as much as possible. That Nina wanted her to use them less sounded incredibly strange to Deia.

Still, orders where orders, and she would abide by them; besides, Master Nina was being very nice to her. She would obey her every command.

Deia opened her mouth to speak, however no words came out. Deia pursed her lips and for a moment looked troubled, before trying again. ". . . Yeshg . . . Neeee-naaa . . ." she said, her voice sounding awfully course and raspy. Deia hadn't spoken in such a long time, she had actually momentarily forgotten how to, and even more than that, her throat atrophied due to lack of use, leading to the current terrible state of her voice. "Whaahduh-everr yoo wahnt fromuh meer."

@Wanderer of Philosophy On primed staffs/wands: Yes, that's possible, however that would severely limit it's already limited use - still, depending on the situation, it's not uncommon to have a staff primed with a spell already.

On how much you can command; generally, command and skill come with practice. To specify on the mechanics of chanting, it's a mnemonic; the words themselves follow a specific kind of alphabet that actually changes depending on location; the original alphabet for the present time spells were based on star patterns, and as the position of some stars varied and appeared for those locations, localized alphabets for chants were created - basically, there is no unified chanting system, and spells that work in one place might not work in another.

However, chanting is not the by-all-end-all when making a spell - it is still up to the caster to create its composition and direct its purpose. Knowing more of the alphabet (I will have to place a chart for this soon O3O ~) will simply make your control more efficient, as longer and more detailed chants become available to you.

@Zeroth Magestrava and Sepcarim are mutations in the population. The mutation is what allows them to be able to manipulate energy - basically, if you're not born one, then you can't be one.
Now it's time to feel weird by being surrounded by seniors~!

Is this still open, Rose? :3

Karen laughed again, just a bit louder this time, but still not very loud by most people's standards. The blonde took a seat next to Damian, crossed her legs under the table, placed her head on her hand and looked at him with some mild amusement. Really, he was a such rough person, but nonetheless he had his good points - he was replying to her, even if it was out of pride. That, and he was rather adorable to look at while he looking all prideful, even while it took that much effort to ask her such a simple question.

"You're quite the awkward man, aren't you? There's no need to be so stiff with me, Damian; I don't bite. I must say though you're rather cute when you try that hard," she said, slender fingers idly playing with a lock of hair while staring at him. "That being said, my day is going rather swell so far. A bit of tea in the morning, cool morning air, and someone to talk to. It's a rather nice start, if I do say so myself.

"Now I suppose it's my turn to ask: What made your day 'fine', Damian?" she asked. "Most people don't wake up too early, so their reasons are rather stale, so I'm rather interested in what constitutes as a good morning for you."

@Asuu
@Tatsua Aiisen You shouldn't be worried about starting a debate, otherwise we'd be stuck wondering 'what is dis?' and twiddle our thumbs until nothing happens, that being said . . .

I agree and disagree with you. From what I've seen, the Patronus is a relatively simple spell to learn circa sixth year. From what I've read, the Harry Potter world is heavily dependent on innate talent for casting magic. Who teaches you what actually plays little part in casting the more advanced spells. Honestly, Harry learned it in his third year while the others learned it in their fifth year; irregardless of the circumstances, a sixth year learning about it shouldn't be too unusual - impressive, yes, but not unusual - as they're one year close to graduation.

As for why and how they learned it, that is entirely up to the person playing. I just want to point out that it's not impossible or unusual for a sixth year to learn said spell.

Also I have to laugh at Dumbledore's Army being called 'elite' - that's one gross overstatement, and Harry himself was not exactly a prodigy with magic. Talented, yes, but overall not very impressive; his magical talent was based on his dueling skills and reflexes rather than any actual genius in spell casting.

Deia stared at the . . . thing that just brushed against her leg. It looked like an overgrown cat. Deia wondered what to do with it. Then it started talking.

"Hello, lass," it purred. "I'm Scorpio, what's yer name?"

How was she supposed to respond to it? It has been stated before, but Deia was very, very confused with the whole situation. She had yet to receive any commands from Master Nina, or at least commands that she could understand, so she simply sat still and watched the big cat-thing look up at her with expressionless eyes.

When Nina began speaking, Deia paid attention to her every word, making sure to take note of anything that might have been an order for her. After awhile, Deia realized that there was nothing really relevant for her to hear. Still she paid attention; finally, after awhile, Nina addressed her. "Deia, due to your situation, you'll have to be stationed in a different area. We'll discuss this later, okay?"

Deia nodded. Whatever you need from me, Master, Deia communicated telepathically.

Before she could get a response from her, a nearby boy collapsed, and she narrowed her eyes. Nina shouted, and Deia immediately perceived the boy as a 'threat'. She watched as an older man picked the boy up and walked away with him and categorized him as an 'affiliated threat'. Despite her extremely weakened state, Deia still had her phenomenal control; though it took her some time, she managed to finish a veritable amount of spikes sculpted from the gravel below them. She kept them on the ground however, and they would only be noticeable if you actually looked closely at the ground.

Her voice echoed in her head as they entered the infirmary. You will not escape.

She used a the small power available to her track the two, and then turned her small head to Nina. When? she asked, waiting for the signal to execute the two threats.
