Today's the first time in a long time that I've felt empty. Not even sad or tired, just empty. This quarantine is getting to me more than I thought.

@Jessica Bunny: You live in America! College is optional (and expensive) and around you is opportunity. I believe you can make it!

@JELDare We improved the ranking system. Check the PM's w/Eklispe.

I'll have Meruin up soon.
Holding in a gasp of pain, Rayon gave a thumbs up to signal that he was fine.

"Don't worry! I've gone through worse than this!" With childishly tough swagger, Rayon curled his arms to show some muscle. It would have been hilarious, considering the fact that Rayon had about as much muscle as a kitten, but the scars on his arm were no laughing matter.

Flayed across randomly, some jagged, some smooth, were scars of varying lengths. They were old wounds, most of them had healed long enough so as to fade, but up close as Rhodri was, there was no missing them, especially the scars that were uncovered by Rayon to show off his arm - those were fairly new and completely visible.

"Still, thanks for the save! How were ya able to catch me though? Are you able to fly as well?" asked Rayon, oblivious to the horror his scars could present.
"It's nice to meet you as well, Mitzy, Lavender," Karen said, before she tilted her head towards Harold. "Well, Harold is an unusual pet; as Lavender stated, most people are expected to bring owls or cats. Still, unusual is not bad, and he is rather cute, really."

Karen flushed as Mitzy complimented her name. She shook her head, trying her best to hide the tint of red on her cheeks, although that was difficult given the paleness of her skin. "I-it's just one middle name, actually," Don't stutter! "Karen Diana are my first names, Irving is my mothers, my maiden name," she explained, a bit flustered - nobody had really complimented her on her name before, except her parents, but they didn't count.

Meanwhile Elijah, purred proudly as Lavender complimented his name, all the while looking up at the mention of catnip. The feline had a glint in its eyes that told Karen that he would be hanging around Mitzy often in the future. Being so easily swayed by treats like that, Karen was sure that Elijah would sell her out one day for a box of catnip.

Still, as she regain her composure, there was one thing she had to wonder about . . .

"Those are a lot of things, Mitzy."

What does she keep them for?
Rayon's head spun as he felt himself falling. Despite his now enhanced endurance and strength the sensation of falling was never something he could get used to. He knew ihe would be fine, but still he closed his eyes to avoid seeing the ground below him as he approached it rapidly. He waited until he got to the ground to open his eyes, waited for the loud thud of his body hitting the ground.

It never came.

Rather than the ground, the first thing he felt were arms wrapping around him protectively, catching him mid-fall. He heard the thud of something hitting the ground, but it wasn't him, he didn't feel anything. Rayon slowly opened his eyes, daring to peek down. He was about a foot away from the ground. Somehow, someone had caught him.

Looking up at his helper, Rayon was almost taken aback by how good looking he was; he was so good looking that it was almost [i]unfati[i]. It kind of gave the feeling like there was no justice in this world if someone could be so handsome!

In any case, he still had to say thank you. He also decided to arbitrarily name this person Mr. Pretty Boy!

"Uh, no, I'm fine! Thanks for the help Mr. Pretty Boy!" Okay, that just slipped out, he hand't meant to say that out-loud! "Ah! Sorry, that just slipped out, I didn't mean to say that out-loud!" But that's pretty much admitting that he'd thought about it. "Er, uh, but I wasn't actually thinking about that at all!"

Shut up! "Shut up brain!"

Before he could further argue and embarrass himslef, Rayon's bit his tongue by accident.

Throughout all of this, he was completely absentminded to the conflict around him, and he didn't even think about how he got sent into the air in the first place.
Alice gave a snicker as she realized what Ved meant. If he meant what she thought he meant, then this was going to be a very interesting day. In any case, Alice decided to give a bit of a joke of her own, so to speak. Opening her rucksack, Alice let it hang open, just enough for the contents to be visible. Numerous shoes and piles of clothing could be seen inside, but the highlight of it was . . .

"Well, me and the girls were planning on doing some clothes shopping," she said, shaking the bag a little. "Honestly, you boys and your obsession with explosions. You should try for a more calming hobby~!" Of course, as she was talking, she rummaged through her the clothes and shoes, pulling something out. That something was the beginning of a patchwork piece of armour - it was ridiculous to look at, but also looked surprisingly sturdy. Needless to say, it was made completely out of sown leather shoes and jeans.

"Have you tried taking up knitting? I assure you it takes your mind off things!"
Karen nodded, a bit put-off with herself; here she was trying to maintain a look of grace, and she'd forgotten the most basic principle when meeting new people: introducing herself! "Stupid, stupid! What kind of impression is that? What's the point of being elegant if you come off as rude instead? Stupid!" she raged internally. That she could allow such an oversight of manners was appalling to the utmost to her. Her head reeled at the thought.

Giving an inaudible sigh of exasperation under her breath, Karen smiled at the two, trying to cover up her inner frustration. It worked for the most part, with no indication other than the tight gripping of her hands.

"I apologize for failing to introduce myself, it was rude of me. I'm Karen Diana Irving McGraves, but you can call me Karen, and this," Karen picked up the big ball of white fur that was Elijah. The cat had a sour look on its face as she placed him on her lap for Mitzy and Lavender to see, and let its displeasure be known by shooting a look at Karen, "is Elijah. Don't give me that look, have some manners."

Elijah flicked his tail in response. Karen frowned.

"Someone's not going to get dessert tonight."
Seriously guys? Take the IC outta OOC. I'm completely fine with @hagroden's character, but dude, you also have to understand that your character acts like a complete dick, and that criticism towards your character is not criticism towards you.
Rayon froze - no pun intended - momentarily as he realized he was back in the air, with only fifteens seconds before he quickly fell ou of it. Rayons prieviously friendly smile of greeting was frozen in place out of sheer fear. He looked at the river below and back to Riley, alternatively

"Uh, eh, ye're joking right?" With a futile look, Rayon hoped that Riley would say yes at the last second. No such answer came.

"Oh he-"

His curse was cut off as the ice beneath him melted and he plummetted out of the sky. His fatigue and panic critically affected his decision making abilities, so rather than flying up, he kept falling.

On instinct, a powerful surge entered his body, invigorating his strength and durability. Of course, Rayon was now running on fumes, so it was unkown how long the augmentation would last.
Rayon paused, then nodded. Floating steadily, the boy had a grin on his face. "It's no problem! Sorry for startlin' you! My powers just kinda go off by themselves, you know? Especially invisibility; sometimes my roommates accidentally sleep on me because I go invisible outta nowhere, so they usually pat the beds they're gonna sleep on before the go down," Rayon spoke quickly, hardly taking any breaths. It was his excitable nature that made it so. One moment he was talking, the next, he was shaking Riley's hand. "It's also pretty cool to have someone else who can fly! Not many people can - Uh-Uuuh, okay waitaminute."

Crossing his hands in 'T' for timeout, Rayon slowly floated down. Landing on his feet, he seemed to wobble for a second before regaining balance. "Was feeling a bit dizzy there. Means I'm tired, so I can't stay up for too long or I fall. Anyway, I'm Rayon Ducat! What's yer name?"
