Meruin barely flinched when the gunshot rang out; it could be said that she was hardly paying attention to what was goin on around her. So far, none of the students had caught her interest with their introductions. They were either people like her, or otherwise relatively normal kids, despite their abilities.
And that was when Arcadius stepped on stage.
The man himself was nothing special in Meruin's eyes - just another mage in an academy of mages, albeit he certainly felt more potent than the rest.
His family was also of little interest. Coming from a long line of Mages meant nothing to her - Master Reina and Lady Chase had already conditioned her against the thought that bloodlines mean everything. She did note however, that she did indeed know the name of his father. Master Reina mentioned him among a list of prominent new bloods.
Whatever the case, none of that held her interest. What did catch her attention, was the mention of a Grimoire. His Grimoire.
His family's Grimoire.
Grimoire's were the souls of their wielders. The repository for all their knowledge and power. Following that logic, a Family Grimoire was more than the sum of a single person. It was the combined total of their history. No, it was their history.
Meruin was practically salivating by this point. Just think of the knowledge she could gain if she could get even a small look at that book. It would help immensely with the development of her own Grimoire.
Unfortunately, she knew just how private a thing a Grimoire was. It would probably be next to impossible to convince him to let her see anything.
Still, it wouldn't hurt to be his aquaintance; even passing knowledge is knowledge gained, when all is said and done.
With that in mind, the drowzy little mage walked towards Arcadius. Once in front of hin, she paused, realizing she didn't really know what to say to him.
Deciding to not overthink it, Meruin gave a lazy wave.
A short groan, and the sound of a chair toppling over - that was how Meruin Hazy awoke from her nap. She had been asleep since the very beginning of the introductions, her easily fatigued body jumping at the chance to have a break at any moment. It was no surprise that the only time she would wake up was when she'd fallen too deeply into her sleep, and consequently fallen along with her chair.
With a startled gasp, the short mage stood up, rubbing her now sore head. Looking around, she realized that most people had already introduced themselves, judging from the way some of them were already chatting with each other away from thei seats. Meruin frowned. She had yet to introduce herself, yet to do so now felt like such bother; at the very least it was embarassing. Still, here was no helping it - more or less, she had to follow the norm at times like these, even if it was inconvenient for her.
With a sigh, the short mage pulled her chair upright and walked to the podium, rubbing the sand out of her eyes and yawning as she did so. Once she was there she opened her mouth to speak.
She remained silent for several long seconds.
Meruin closed her mouth, looking thoughtful. Her emerald eyes scrunched up in thought on what to do next. Accordingly, she was supposed to introduce herself, but asides giving her name, she was unsure of what to do next. Years of living with her Master had severly impaired her social skills.
An introduction was the key to first impressions, which were in turn crucial for social relationships. Master had sent her here for more than just developing her magic, but also for Meruin to grow more accustomed to interacting with people - a skill she sorely needed.
After a bit of thought, Meruin knew exactly what she was going to say.
"Hello everyone, I am Meruin Hazy. I hope to get along with you all?"
With that short introduction, Meruin stepped off the podium, looking unusually pleased with herself.
Appearance: Short, standing only an inch or so above 5ft, with wavy bob-cut black hair and green-grey eyes. She's petite and fragile looking in a sense, however she has a calm and meticulous look that gives her an air of maturity that she does not really possess. (Image will be uploaded later)
Age:15
Gender:Female
Abilities: A jack-of-all trades that can use multiple abilities, but has yet to proficiently use one, not to mention being hampered by her physically weak body. Abilities include; elemental manipulation, mind-reading, aura sensing, clairvoyance, barriers, healing spells, and etc. Basically, anything that can be learned, she probably learned it. Still, as of now, Meruin has two main focus: her barriers, which, when given enough time, can reach astonishing levels of intricacy and toughness, and runes, which she uses in place of aria's to speed cast.
How you could work in a team: Support and logistics. Never put her on offensive, unless she is given adequate time, in which case, she is capable of being highly devastating to whole teams in combat.
Personality: Introverted and quiet, she prefers to study than talk with other people. Focused and serious when it comes to her studies, she is otherwise a dunderhead when it comes to social interactions, and cannot read social ques very well, hence she doesn't mind doing what may be inappropriate in public (or more like she doesn't know she's doing anything wrong . . .) Gullible and still quite childish at heart, but stubborn and confident in her ability to succeed. Meruin, surprisingly, also has a very high degree of pride, though admittedly she takes pride in the strangest of things, so being able to push her pride requires some degree of familiarity with her. Meruin is also very quirky, often taking interest in the most random of things at any given time, so long as her attention is not occupied, and is not the slightest bit hesitant to act upon those interests, however awkward or embarrassing it may be (most often and especially for other people.
History: Suffice it to say that she came from a family of losers and wanted to be different, and through her efforts met the grandest of all mages (in her opinion), who henceforth became her Master. Any more than that shall be revealed during RP.
Other: Can cook and sing quite well. Has a weak body and is Asthmatic and Anemic

You're normal; ordinary; run-of-the-mill and generic. Whether you like or dislike being that way, it doesn't matter: YOU. ARE. NORMAL. At least, that was until you hit your 16th birthday.
Now you and several other people have discovered that you are now, in fact, protagonists - how? You received a message from an Angel to go to the hill overlooking the town. She explains everything there and gives you abilities of your choosing that will help you on your quest. Sounds fun? Oh, probably for just a bit, until you discover that your 'story' is about saving reality itself, and by reality, I mean REALITIES. You must find the source of Disorder in every reality and destroy or fix it, or else you lose a universe and subsequently weaken the chain of reality that binds creation together.
Now, the question is, what kind of realities are we talking about, and how do we find the Disorders? That part is actually very simple - for you see, as protagonists, it is your job to help out fellow protagonists. You must help see their story straight, or at least help them get to the best ending. The Realities you are sent to are realities you recognize:
TV, video games, movies, books.
Use your knowledge of whatever universe you find yourself in, and pinpoint the one thing that is different. It may be a Disorder. You may have to fight and destroy it, you may not, but it must be fixed.
Can you accomplish this before the universe is destroyed?
Summary: You're all super powered 16 year-old's and in order to stop the collapse of the universe, you need to go to different series's, find the abnormality in that series, and fix it.

The Angel
Name: On The First Day Rank: Throne
Its original appearance is too divine for any creature to look at directly, so It assumes the form of a plain-looking woman with long golden hair, wide clear white eyes, a halo, and a two pairs of wings on Its back. It holds a scroll in Its left hand, and a telescope in Its right.
On The First Day is the angel that assigns your characters to fix dimensional Disorders. It cannot directly interfere because of Its position as a 'Virtue' overseeing the heavens, so instead lends you abilities that can help accomplish this task for It. It is not omniscient, however it is incredibly knowledgeable, so if you are having trouble pinpointing the Disorder, contacting and asking her for information may help.
This place is a coffee shop in between dimensions that serves as a meeting point for different 'Protagonists' - the one running it is none other than On The Seventh Day, and in case you need to get away from the stress of saving the universe, you can stop and rest here, so long you are not in the middle of anything urgent. Take note, however, that the time you spend here runs concurrent with all dimensions, so spending 10 minutes here is losing 10 minutes in whatever world you came from, so be wise with how much time you allocate in resting here. Accessing The Curio is a fairly simple matter - simple find a door, knock on it three times, and say the key-phrase out-loud:
"In nomine patris - may I enter?"
Asides the above-standard coffee shop fanfare, The Argonaut comes with a small library that has up-to-date records of the worlds your visiting, archived exploits of previous Protagonists, and WiFi.
Up to three universes will be chosen at a time. A letter is assigned to each. The players will vote on a letter, however, the universe assigned to each letter is unknown except to one person I as the GM will choose.
Universe difficulty is a guessing game of A, B or C - with them being easy, medium, or hard. Every new universe changes which letter is which difficulty, and everyone has to vote on one letter to decide the difficulty.
Rules: 1.) Basic RP'ing rules (no god-modding, no auto-hitting, etc) 2.) No making up canon or using fan interpretations for the series being visited. In case canon is vague, then the closest believable explanation is permitted. 3.) No fighting unless it's in the IC.
