@Zelosse I know, but what really gets me is this: how can you be so fuxxing stupid as to not realize that you are lecturing the rights of minorities to someone who is part of a country that is LITERALLY A MINORITY BY YOUR STANDARDS. Filipino middle-class have it harder than American third-class - at least you have welfare!

My classmates were just sighing the whole time, waiting for them to realize this. They never did.

I am feeling the oddest mix of bewilderment, disbelief, anger, and am seriously just plain pissed.

No offense to any Americans here, but were the lot of you always such infuriating crackpots? For a bit of context, it's my first time meeting a group of people from the US in years, and I got into an argument were I was eventually yelled away for being racist and sexist and homophobic, apparently, and that a white supremacist like me should learn to leave the safe spaces of oppressed minorities alone. I got lectured on the struggles of black people, women, and the LGBT's without even being allowed to speak. They pretentiously ignored any opinion I had to give and dismissed my opinions by telling me to check my privilege.

And the kicker to all of this? The real punchline?

While they were having the time of their lives lecturing me on minorities, I'm just smiling and sitting pretty on my chair with my equally repulsed blockmates.

Chairs reserved for the FILIPINO delegates.

Let that sink in.
