I'm done with Guam. I want to get back home, buy an 80s Japanese sports car, and get to tuning.

Just to be sure, I'm assuming pretty much everyone is on the Scythian at this point?
Sorry for my inactivity the last couple of weeks. I'm not gonna lie, I'm having a hard time getting invested into my character, and a harder time keeping up with the story jumping around like it has been. I'll do some reading to catch up, but I might end up just letting this one go.
@SleepingSilence That was interesting. The calm, vaguely sinister vibes are always welcome. I wasn't too sold on it at the beginning, thinking it would be too hip-hop-ish or something, but I liked it more and more as it unfolded. There is one thing that I found annoying, and that was the trickling sort of sound that played between the first chorus and the second verse, and again during the second chorus; it sounds too fast and staccato in relation to the rest of the song and doesn't really fit in my opinion. Otherwise I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's a different sound than I'm used to, but I like it. 7/10

I was originally tempted to put up some more shitpost material, but after some thought I decided that today was not that day. Instead, I stumbled upon this and, well... time to do some research on this band.

If I had heard this during my Sophomore year of high school, I would have eaten this shit up. I'd probably still dig it if I'm hitting the gym and need some "get fucking pumped" music, but for casual listening I'm not so sure. It feels a bit outside of the punk genre and closer to hard rock, so ehh (fuck me, my musical taste is regressing).

Regardless, it was enjoyable to listen to and it doesn't do anything wrong from what I can tell. 7/10.

Remember a few posts ago where I mentioned I love songs with a sense of desperation? I'm hardcore craving that right now.

@Gin... You're doing it wrong! You're supposed to give us another song and keep the train going!

Guess I gotta intervene.

@SleepingSilence First impression (~10 seconds in). Right to the chase. Sounds like we're keeping the pop-punk trend going a bit. (~45 seconds). Tempo change just for shits and giggles. Those always put me off a little bit, but on second thought I like how it doesn't quite stick to the traditional musical formula. (~1:30). I do like the overlapping vocals in the chorus a lot. It adds a certain gravity to the song that bolsters an already strong instrumental line. (~2:45) That outgoing vocal line. Holy shit, that's good. (The end) Well, that was abrupt.

Now, looking at the overall piece and having listened to it again, it's definitely a pleasing song to listen to. I don't know why, but I always enjoy a song with an overall sense of urgency, emotion, or desperation to it. Without getting too touchy-feely, I feel like it evokes something inside me on a primal level, and this song reaches that part of me pretty well. It's a bit hard to follow, given it's odd composition and fast transitions between different parts of the song, but the overall instrumental and vocal performances are really good, and everything jives pretty well on that point. Nothing, at any point, doesn't sound like it has it's part to play in making the sound what it should be, so it's at least well put together if nothing else. That and the way it reaches me makes it pretty damn good in my opinion. 7.8/10.

Now for some Bosnian propaganda.

@ihinka@Catharyn That is probably the best way to approach our character interactions right now.
@ihinka I'm pretty much done on my end. Waiting for a response.
The guards allowed Natalia to enter the office, just as a group of people were coming to the same place. Natalia recognized two of them; the woman and the Noxaara. They seemed to be moving with a sense of purpose, and she could tell all of them had some military experience. The Noxaara immediately began to converse with her in a friendly tone.

"Hello; it would appear we have the same destination and intentions."

Natalia shrugged at that. "Destination, sure. Intentions, maybe. I guess we'll find out soon enough," she said, entering the office.

She was immediately greeted by the director, a tired, but not unfriendly look on his face. No doubt this business with the UWG ship was taxing his time and patience. She got straight to the point, subconsciously assuming a relaxed form of parade rest. "Good afternoon, director, my name is Natalia Aprilia. To be honest with you, I'm at a bit of a loss right now, and could use some help. I hadn't intended to come here; I was set up by the owner of the freighter I had bought transport on. He tried to sell me out to some crime lord and apparently this system was their rendezvous. My interceptor is pretty badly damaged and I could use some repairs. I have money, but I'm all but certain it won't be enough to cover all of the repairs."

She paused for a moment. "Naturally, I'll work for recompense, and you can use me and my ship as an asset. I know that's not saying much; it's an interceptor with very little cargo space, but I'll do what I can."

@Catharyn@ihinka
Dammit, I wanted to get a post up tonight, but I've been drinking and I'm super tired at this point. I'll definitely have one up sometime tomorrow, though.
