I had an idea today for an RP in which we play as pokemon who are fed up with being mistreated at the hands of humans and decide to fight back by attacking the humans. Most pokemon will be accepted, but it wouldn't make sense for a player to be a Legendary or semi-legendary, as it could make them OP.

Maybe these pokemon really were abused, maybe they weren't, but they need to have a reason to hate humans enough that they would join what most humans and many pokemon consider a terrorist cell.

99+% of humans can't understand pokemon, but most professors and some high-end trainers can, so be careful when speaking around them or their Stockholme syndrome battle-slaves. (AKA trainer owned pokemon).

For some basic rules:
1) Don't be a dick. This includes auto-hitting fellow players, god moding, and getting into arguments about in-character stuff OOC. Debates about whether something makes sense in context are fine as long as you keep it civil. If you can't come to an agreement within a week, though, a GM will have to rule on it to keep the RP rolling.
2) If someone doesn't respond to you within a week, just assume that their character got distracted and move on. Hopefully we'll have enough players to keep moving even without everyone posting at least weekly, but as a general rule try to respond within a week.
3) I won't be playing any character that the story revolves around. Think of me as someone that is there to control NPCs and keep the story going. I want this to be a player-driven story, though, so react to ingame situations however you think your character would, and I'll role with whatever happens.

The lights dimmed as the voltorbs which powered them lowered their output. Two spotlights shined upon a scarred Charmeleon that walked onto the stage. "Good evening everyone." he said, addressing the crowd of dozens, or perhaps hundreds, of pokemon of different types and forms. "As many of you know, I am Carax. I once belonged to a trainer, like many of you, who thought of me as nothing more than a tool to earn money. I started this group because I believe that we can no longer sit by while we and our fellow pokemon are abused by people to whom we are simply items to be discarded when we are no longer useful. Allow me to tell my story, and I will open the stage up to anyone who wishes to come up here to share theirs as well."

"I was hatched from an egg that came from one of those forced-breeding camps that the humans euphemistically call "Daycare Centers". My parents barely knew each other. My father was caught merely to be breeding stock in the mill, my mother was a Ditto, a descendant of a long line of slaves which this trainer had bred to have what he called "perfect IVs". Before my father even knew what was happening they were drugged and locked in a cage together until my mother laid an egg. Me."

"When I was old enough, after the trainer had forced me to strike down dozens of wild pokemon, what he called "training", a process which resulted in me fainting several times, I was sent to that same breeding camp. At first I thought it was some sort of vacation, that he had realized that he had asked too much of me and was giving me a break, but then I was drugged and put in a cage with another pokemon just like my father. I didn't find out until later that her trainer was doing the same thing with her."

"The trainer returned to take our eggs, and a few days later returned again. The eggs had hatched, but only one of them had "better IVs" than me." A tear started to form at the corner of Carax's eye. "I can only assume that he placed the other two in the computer, as I heard him say he would do with me after swapping me out for my son, and then deleted them."

"When he went to return me to the cramped cage they call a "pokeball", though, I knew I had to act fast, lest I be deleted or, at best, forced to fight again. I knocked the ball he had trapped me in as a newborn out of his hand, shattering it, and, when he brought out a captured Staryu to force me back into line, I fled. I later received word that he is carrying my surviving son around just like he did with me, when I was a child, placing my mother in a cage with that Staryu. My son is being tortured by him, forced to fight opponents he can't possibly defeat, then pulled out at the last second only to be replaced with another slave who's more fit for that kind of battle. The human's call it training. I say it's psychological torture. And I can no longer stand by while my son and other pokemon are mistreated."

The crowd cheered, and Carax motioned for them to quiet down. "I know I am not the only one who was mistreated. Some of you were living your life out in the wilderness when some psychotic ten year old came by and beat you into submission or unconsciousness, the ones who remained conscious finding themselves stuck as energy in a small ball, being let out only when the psychopath wants you to fight for their pleasure or profit. I know that it can be tough to talk about it, but if you are willing to share your story with your brothers and sisters gathered here, then we would be happy to listen, and offer you what support we can, emotional or otherwise."

With that, Carax stepped out of the spotlight, allowing the first Pokemon in line to step into it to tell their story.
@Blade17I'll try to post Barry rushing you to a teleport spot and taking you up there in the next post, then.
@rush99999I was hoping to get more players, but it's just the three of us.

I could bring Ghost Rider to the Watchtower in the next post, so that you two can interact. That might keep this alive.

@Blade17
First post, if no one wants to play as one of these characters:

There is civil unrest on the mid rim world of Naboo.

The planet has been in an economic depression due to price decreases in the rare metals and spice which is mined in the Naboo system, and the Confederacy of Independent Systems has used the situation to spread propaganda among the citizens, seeking to convince the system to join them.

Jedi Master Yoda, head of the Jedi Sentinels, has sensed a dark side plot in the system and sent his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi with Jedi Master Qui-gon Jinn, head of the Jedi Consulars, as he travels to Naboo to seek a solution to this problem.

The form of a maroon Consular Class ship entered orbit of the blue and green planet below. "Master," said a ponytailed young man sitting at a console behind the copilot. "There is a CIS droid control ship in geosynchronous orbit near the planet's Capital.

"A warship?" asked the pilot, worried.

"No," said an older man in robes, leaning over the pony-tailed man's shoulder to look at his screen. "A civilian ship belonging to the Trade Federation. Likely here to demonstrate their droids to someone on the planet."

"Master Qui-gon," said the younger man, "That could be an attempt to sway the leaders of industry to their cause. After all, the Republic has strict limits on droid labor, the CIS has none."

"True," said Qui-gon. "The situation may be more complicated than we first anticipated." He looked at the pilot. "Set us down in the Capital city of Theed. We will need to speak with the Queen as soon as possible." He then looked at the younger man. "Obi-wan, when you have finished your scans, please meet me at the boarding ramp. I'd like to be able to go to the palace as soon as we land. It could be a long walk, as they likely haven't sent a speeder for us."

"Yes, Master." he said as Qui-gon left the bridge. About a minute later, after verifying that there were no other suspicious ships nearby, he went to meet the Master.

"Is something troubling you, Padawan Kenobi?" Qui-gon asked, noticing the concerned look on Obi-wan's face.

"Something doesn't feel right." he responded.

"I don't sense anything."

"Oh, it's not about the mission, Master, it's something elsewhere, illusive." He "felt" around with the Force, but nothing stood out to him.

"Downplay your anxieties, Obi-wan. Keep your concentration here and now, where it belongs."

"But Master Yoda said I should be mindful of the future." Kenobi argued.

"Yes, but not at the expense of the present. Be mindful of the living force, young Padawan."

"Yes Master," Obi-wan said, nodding his head. It wasn't Yoda's way, but he couldn't find a flaw in such teachings. Perhaps it was simply that watching the future was more useful to a Sentinel like Master Yoda than it was to a Consular like Qui-gon. After all, many plots could be stopped by knowing about them before they began, but leaders needed to understand the present to govern properly.

Once the ship had sat down at the space port they lowered the ramp and left the ship, following the hallways to the street outside. There they spotted a member of a species Obi-wan was not familiar with polishing a yellow and black checkered four-person speeder. "Master, I don't recognize that species. Do you know anything about them?"

"He's a Gungan." Qui-gon responded. "Twelve hundred years ago the Hutts conquered this world, enslaving and technologically uplifting the local primitive race of amphibians, the Gungans. It was captured by the Sith during the Great Wars two hundred years later, and then ceded to the Republic when they surrendered. The Gungans never liked the Republic Colonists, though, and tend to avoid Republic Cities. Curious."

Obi-wan nodded as the gungan ran over. "Hello, dere." it said, "Meesa called Jar-Jar Binks. Yousa needen a ride inta town?"

Obi-wan shrugged and looked at Qui-gon, who didn't object. "Yes, we could use a ride. Do you know the way to the palace?"

"Oh, yes." said Jar-Jar, "Da palace is da mostest fanciest building in da city. Everyone knows da way." He motioned towards his taxi and the two got inside the closed-top vehicle. Jar-Jar ran around to the driver's seat and got in, starting the meter and beginning the drive.

After a few seconds of silence Obi-wan decided to start a conversation with the driver. "I was under the impression that your people didn't like large cities, so I was wondering if that was true."

"Yes, sa. Dassa true."

"Then why have you chosen to do business here? Does it simply pay better?"

Jar-Jar shook his head. "No, dassa not it." He paused for a few seconds, then continued with a sadness in his voice. "My friend, my have been banished."

Obi-wan was surprised by the answer. "Why were you banished, Jar-Jar?"

"Oh, itsa longo story, but the basics is that meesa, uh, clumsy." That admission appeared to pain him.

Obi-wan was still confused. "You were banished because you were clumsy?"

"Yousa mighten be sayin dat. Meesa was chef for Gungan leader, Big Boss Nass. But one day meesa carryin him a burning desert and meesa trip, spilling it on da table and startin a fire. When itsa put out, Boss Nass was bery angry, and banished me. He give meesa only until sunrise to leave da city. So meesa come here, buy a speeda, and now meesa a cab driva."

Obi-wan nodded as they pulled up in front of the palace steps. Jar-Jar got out, ran around to open the door, then held his hand out as they stepped out of the cab. Obi-wan paid him, plus a few extra credits and Jar-Jar handed them a plastic card. "If yousa needen a ride anywhere else, just give meesa a call, okeeday?"

Obi-wan nodded and Jar-Jar closed the door, then continued polishing his cab where he had stopped at the starport.

At the top of the steps Qui-gon stopped, causing Obi-wan to look at him. "There's something off about that gungan." Qui-gon said.

"He's likely just of substandard intelligence." Obi-wan responded.

"True, but I don't thing that's all of it." Qui-gon scratched his chin then, and a few seconds later caught himself. "But we didn't come here to solve the mystery of the cab driver. We came here to stop a succession. Come." He motioned and Obi-wan followed him into the Palace.
Reboot of this RP.

After watching a review of the seriously disappointing “The Last Jedi” in which the guy said that he refuses to accept anything after Ep 3 I realized that the prequel didn’t exactly fit with the established lore either. So, I would like to try and reboot the prequels with some lore that fits the original films a bit better.

Everything from Ep 1 forward is not cannon as far as this RP is concerned. Unfortunately, this includes KOTOR. I may use elements from the other films/ games/ EU though.

Midiclorians: Bacteria which have a symbiotic relationship with most Sapient species in the galaxy. They feed on natural neurotransmitters and nutrients from the host’s blood and can metabolize the Force energy in the their body. In exchange, they release chemicals into the host’s body which lets them metabolize the Force as well. This allows people who can use the Force to restore their own biological energy from the Force, giving them enhanced stamina. The Midiclorian levels in the bloodstream is a good indicator of the levels of the neurotransmitters which alter brain development to cause Force Sensitivity, so a simple count is a good basic indicator of a being’s relative natural Force connection.

The Force: A scientifically verifiable phenomenon which exists in a layer of subspace near this universe. All living beings have natural biological energy. Upon death, most of these races release this energy into a nearby level of subspace. This energy blends together to form a quasi-sentient, quasi-sapient energy Field known as The Force. Some people, known as Force Sensitives, have a natural ability to connect to the Force while still alive, allowing them to transfer energy from The Force to themselves or their environment. This natural ability can be synthetically introduced to prepubescent or embryonic beings which are not Force Sensitive through the introduction of a synthetic version of the neurotransmitters which cause Force Sensitivity to develop in Force Sensitivities. Purely artificial means of tapping into the Force have been under research for over twenty thousand years, but no one has yet fully succeeded.

The Jedi Order: A Force using group in the Republic government, they work to stop threats to the republic and its citizens, relying on what they call “the Light side of the Force.” This Light Side is largely concerned with helping others at the expense of self. The Jedi have three branches. The Guardians, under Master Mace Windu, work as police and security, fighting threats directly. The Sentinels, under Master Yoda, work as an intelligence agency, looking for criminal and Dark Side activity and working “behind the scenes” to end them. The Consulars, under Master Qui-Gon Jinn, work as diplomats and advisers, working to prevent crime, war, and injustice from arising.

Central City

Seeing that the man was about to unknowingly commit suicide, the Flash ran over and grabbed the Ghost-man's wrist before he could remove the ring. "I know you hate the fact that you just killed a man...er, sapient being...but if you remove that ring it will kill you. The ring damages your blood, but keeps you alive despite that. The ghost side of you might survive, but as a human you would die." He paused a few seconds to let that sink in and continued. "Come with me to our base. The Blue Lanterns are able to remove the ring without killing the wearer. We'll call them."

Starfire landed nearby and lifted Grodd's corpse as Wally went to check on Zatana. "I will take his body to his people. They may wish to give him a proper burial." With that she flew off towards Africa, carrying the massive body.

Watchtower

"That explains the appearance of a Sinestro Corp member in Gotham." said Batman, stepping out from behind a corner. "He's a metahuman that somehow managed to brainwash Oracle by just speaking to her. J'onn is trying to deal with the mental component, but it appears he uses some sort of enhanced Pheromone to break down your mental defenses as well. We're also dealing with a ghost-possessed man with a red ring and a teenage girl with a green one." He looked at Deadpool. "Your White ring and Thanos's black ring means that 5 of the 9 are accounted for." He turned to walk away, ignoring the fact that Hal wanted to interject something. "Follow me. You'll need to be debriefed, especially if you have history with this Thanos."
@rush99999
I'll try to post in the next few days.
@mattmanganonSo many good ideas. I think I heard the thing about Rom before, but I'm not sure.

If you want to play as the Punisher, I'll have Kilgrave piss off Doom and get his neck snapped. Or try to enslave Grundy or Bizzaro. That works too. Not sure if he can mind control a Zombie, and Bizarro might think "Protect me." meant "Hurt me."
@Blade17it's fine. Besides, your character wouldn't know it.
@Blade17I'm going to have a character stop you from removing the ring. Removing the ring without the help of a Blue Lantern is almost always fatal (I think Supergirl survived because she was near a yellow star at the time). Even with the fact that you just killed someone, they won't want you to kill yourself, and don't expect Ghost Rider to know that.

From the Wiki:
"The Red ring replaces the heart of its bearer, rendering it useless. The blood spoils, and the ring expels it from the bearer's mouth in a vomit of violent rage. A Red Lantern's veins stretch as they fill with the liquid fire of the red light. It is possible for the bearer to recover from the physical transformations that come with wielding the rage of a Red Lantern ring, but apparently only through intervention of a Blue Power Ring, or if the user experiences a great enough hope to overcome their rage, acting in a vein similar to that of Blue energy."

In Ghost form he wouldn't really need a heart or blood, but once he returned to human form it would kill him.
