Three Steps Far — Roleplayer Guild

Hello hello hello!  I'll keep this part short, since you probably wanna get right to the good stuff, but hey!  Thanks for reading me!  Now that I have your attention, let's jump right in!

Let's see...  Well, first of all, I'm a complete and major dork, meaning I enjoy all things nerdy, geeky, and weeby!  To that end, you'll find that I can write about a huge range of topics and slide into just about any world imaginable!  Of course, what better world to slip into than one we build together, right?  I'm 24 years old, male (if that matters), and generally spend my evenings playing video games and watching anime or reading manga.  I work early morning to mid-afternoon, so I can't be on as much as I'd like, but I'm usually free on weekends.  I've been roleplaying for a pretty long time now - at least 15 years! - and I've been a part of almost every kind of story you can think of!  Everything from slice-of-lifes to "let's throw genres into a pot and see what comes out" styles!  I can play males and females equally well, and I'm comfortable playing both genders and multiple characters.

While I am okay with mature content, I would rather not build a story that's focused exclusively around it.  Since becoming a Christian (I won't be preachy if you don't wanna hear it, but I also won't deny my beliefs!), I've been trying very hard to pull away from my old vices, so please forgive me if I insist on fading to black for some scenes.

I will go ahead and warn you now that I can seem rather serious at times.  I promise, it's not your fault!  My moods are pretty unpredictable.  Either way, I'll still do my best to keep the RP enjoyable for you!

I have a few things I want out of every partner I play with, and I hold myself to these standards as well!  Don't worry, I'm not overly strict on this stuff, and my number one goal is that we both have fun.  To that end, here are my requests!

1. Please be literate!  I don't expect perfection, but at least be legible!  If I have to try and decode your posts, it's gonna be a lot less fun for us both.

2. Real life comes first!  Sometimes I can't answer for a while, and sometimes you can't answer for a while.  I totally understand that!
  If you can warn me of any stretches of silence, please do!  I'll do the same.

3. Be honest!  If you're not enjoying an RP anymore, please tell me!  I won't be upset or offended if the fun's worn out.  We can try to fix it, or we can simply stop.  I don't mind!  What I DO mind is waiting eagerly for your post and never hearing from you again.  On that note...

4. We can stop at any time!  In my RPs, both players reserve the right to halt the RP at any time and for any reason.  But please tell me if you want to stop.  Just vanishing makes me worry for you!

5. IC is not OOC!  If our characters pursue a romantic relationship, it doesn't mean I'm pursuing one with you.  I know that sounds silly,
 but I've had people make that mistake before, and it makes us both feel very awkward and uncomfortable.  I've also played D&D with good friends where our characters absolutely hated each other, but after every session, we'd both laugh at our antics together.  No matter what happens IC, be sure to keep it IC!

6. Quality over quantity!  If you wanna write a dozen paragraphs, by all means, do it!  If you can craft the perfect response in only a single sentence, do so!  I never care how many words you write!  All I care about is whether your post invests in the story.

And that's basically it!  Write what you please and let's both have fun!

Alright, now that all the bureaucracy (that is a heck of a word to try to spell) is out of the way, let's talk about the really good stuff: plots and storylines!

The genders in each of these plots are all flexible, so don't feel pressured to stick to the ones listed!  Those are just my defaults.  Also, I'm willing to play either character, so if you have a preference, let me know!  ALSO also, you may notice that I lean toward the supernatural.  I'm endlessly fascinated by it all!

Wouldn't it be great to find a genie in a bottle?  Imagine having someone grant your wishes for you, getting what you want simply by saying "I wish"!  Wouldn't that be amazing?  It's too bad genies don't really exist.  ...Right?

Well in fact, they do!  And one lucky(?) soul is about to discover one!  Unfortunately, this genie's not happy at all about her predicament.  Since it's the first time she's been out of her lamp in centuries, what's to stop her from having a little fun?

Demons creep into our world all the time to cause mischief and sin.  Imagine if one demon crept in simply because they were bored.  And imagine the look on one mortal's face when that very demon announces that she will now be living with that mortal during her time on Earth!

Surprised to see something about a demon on here?  I love the idea of a being of pure malevolent mischief trying to pass off as a perfectly ordinary human, as well as the thought of an actual human trying to cope with that!  Whether we take this seriously or in a light-hearted direction, chaos is sure to abound!

This one is a bit odd, but I somehow can't keep my mind off of it.  Imagine if, one day, a young man from modern times woke to find himself inside the body of a medieval times princess!  Even worse, imagine that the princess is still there, as well!  Two people of completely different times and upbringings suddenly must learn to cooperate in order to maintain a very tenuous peace in the kingdom.

The real fun is that control of the princess's body switches between them without warning.  It's an odd idea, like I said, but it could be a lot of fun!

Imagine: an epic battle ensues between two armies.  The first, led by their cunning and more-than-capable princess.  The second, led by a crafty and battle-hardened general.  The battle to decide a decade-long war rages in the valley... when all of a sudden, explosions rock the field!  Both sides are buried beneath the ensuing landslide, with barely a soul managing to survive.  The princess and general, now wounded and alone, must unite to uncover the truth behind this devastation.  Who would dare to make an enemy of two great nations?  And even worse, could they actually do it?

This one is based on a very old RP that I sadly never got to see the end of.  I'd love the chance to try it again!

Alternate Title: Hounds of War.  Werewolves: a myth that brings equal parts fascination and terror to those who hear of it.  But what if it were real?  It may soon be.  The military is conducting experiments to create their own werewolves, trained to be nigh-invincible super-soldiers.  Their first successful subject, the new Alpha of his pack, will be sent on missions that no human would ever dare to face down.  Can he lead his pack through them successfully?  Will he be a good leader for his people?  And what is it about the sight of the moon that seems to invoke such... yearning?

This would be more of a DM and Player experience, I think, but it still has a lot of potential!

No, not the TV show, silly.  Imagine if, one day, you simply awoke in an entirely different world.  A world where things you never thought possible are as common as electricity and water!  And imagine what would happen if the world's most powerful people started to take an interest in their "visitor"...

This would definitely be a DM and Player event, and one I'd be happy to DM for!  The style and setting are flexible, so definitely consider it!

That's about all I have for my own plots.  If you like, here's a list of fandoms I'd love to take part in, too!  I prefer to play OCs for these, as I'm very finicky about "doing canon characters justice" when I try to play them.  I usually can't.

Oh, and uh, ignore the fact that I haven't done anything in three years.  I, uh, kind of made this account a long time ago, then got distracted and completely forgot I had this.  Eh heh heh...  I promise not to do it again, though!
