Word to the wise: I shall not be doing any writing tomorrow, as I will be involved demolition work.

I also seem to recall receiving an answering bid from the Quarian Ice Queen of safety from potential collateral fire during her Roaring Rampage of Revenge! Very tempting indeed. Serena, do you have a response?
You clever bastards, you. Now Tia really will be stuck with you guys for the foreseeable future.
I am intrigued, as this type of story is not something that I have done before. Not sure if I have the time to commit to it though.

...Serena won't blow up a drone in Tia's vicinity.

Hmmm. Your offer is to not do something very stupid. Tempting, but lets see if you can be more creative.

Any other takers? Bets are open!

Serena.

Give Serena the captain bit.

DOO EEET.

Make me an offer worth my time

If it's worth anything and being a shared owner, I don't think anyone would want to buy part of a ship. :P

Her targets would be one of the other crewmembers, naturally. Which, ironically, could give them grounds for becoming captain, since they'd now own more of the ship than anyone else.

Does she have a sense of honor, in addition there's still the issue with who owns the boat? As for motivation, I'm pretty she could hitch a ride until we can all come up with something. That batarian smuggle has many possibilities from stepping stone to minor villain that could unit our PCs, depending on what @Dervish and @Hellis stated so might not be as hard to adapt IC.

That is basically what I'm using right now: determining who has ownership of the Borealis and curiosity on what contracts Luzami had. The problem is that those are all short-term motivations. Since Luzami's dead, there's no one to pay her, and since she hasn't had a chance to do anything before he died, there's nothing that she feels she needs to be paid for. Her sense of honour largely revolves around contracts, and as far as she's concerned right now the contract is null and void. She could easily sell her share of the Borealis for a handful of credits and then leave the next time they make planetfall.

IT was mentioned beforehand and in the interest check that our dear captain would be dearly departed. The point was to have a crew of missfits that don't have that many other options but to take the job in the first place. Again however, player agency. Its all about that collaborative effort to build a world around our existing characters, their personalities and motivations. Don't worry though, we'll give you a purpose. Or a hundred.

ehehehehe

I knew that something was going to happen, but I must have missed the part where it was stated that Luzami was going to be dead from the get-go. At any rate, again, I'll definitely be sticking around to see what happens, I'm just trying to come up with reasons for why Tia would stick around.

Hazan requires turian brandy, single measure, on the rocks. It's his signature drink.

Hey, that's an idea. If you had to give your character a signature drink, what would it be?

Water. Tia prefers to keep a clear head at all times. Not to mention the fact that I think she would easily be an angry drunk.
<Snipped quote by Hellis>

True, but some PCs might have trouble doing that. For example, while Vellios doesn't give a damn either way as he's leashed to Serena... the human might not want to stick around. Hence, where she goes.. so does Vellios.

Anyway, I'm hoping with my idea, namely the Batarian smuggler, that might at least give our PCs some form of continual work and reason for being together for the time being. That, with some luck, should help solve a few issues and give us something to toy around with until Dervish and Hellis smacks us fully steam with the plot!

Same with Tia. She agreed to do a job, but the guy she made the contract with died before she could even get started. The most reasonable course of action for her would have been to just leave and find work elsewhere, since the job was over before it even began. Had I known this was going to happen, I would have given her a different character motivation.

Still going to see where this goes, since in-universe it's been all of an hour at the most, probably less, so nothing's really had a chance to happen yet. Just felt like putting my two-dollars in.

As for me making the explosion felt up in the bridge, I needed an excuse to drag Tia away from the console to actually talk to people.
I get this rather terrible feeling that Vellios is going be playing peace maker oddly enough... XD The one guy with a ton of shit as it is.

Depending on the situation, he might be able to trade with Tia. There's only so much crap she'll put up with.

On a side note, @Dervish, I hope have something planned for the immediate future. This is a personal thing, but killing off the only reason this eclectic group of misfits came together before the story even starts is not the best way to start things. They do need a reason to stick around, and for the time being, I think most of our characters don't have that beyond idle curiosity.
@Fallenreaper I figured it would be safe to assume that Dex is on the bridge as well, since SOMEBODY had to take us out of dock.
