Alex shifted in her seat as she cautiously watched Zyrid settle into his position. His actions indicated he would not be leaving anytime soon, and Alex was grateful for the company. Zyrid did not seem like the type of man to be annoying, aggravating or someone to start trouble. He was sophisticated and eloquent, even if he did seem a bit socially inept. Zyrid let out a relieving sigh and tucked away his hair behind his ear. Alex took a moment to see the beauty in his structure. A sharp jaw and defined cheekbone with soft eyes and smooth skin. No scars that she could see, almost as if he had never been in any type of conflict. Or just some healing power, anything possible this place. Alex found herself staring again and she was quite lost in her own thought. So lost in fact, that she almost missed Zyrid speaking to her.

"So, Alex, tell me abut yourself."

Her eyes shifted to the floor. She spoke as if she was still searching for her answer in the soft wood grain of the Tavern floor.
"Well, what do you want to know?"
She said as she looked up to meet Zyrids eyes. His stare was palpable and intense. Here was someone that was genuinely interested in her life, something she has been waiting for for w long time, and she couldn't muster a single interesting thing about herself. Something like how her cat is named "Toast" because if his insufferable love for toast or how she's basically a spy for her own planets government. There's nothing worse than having been asked that question and not having anything to say.
Comcast internet sucks. My area is having outages every once in a while, so just be patient with me. I will post as often as I can and I am up pretty late. Probably for the next 6 hours. :)

Alex shifted in her seat a bit before Zyrid spoke in a voice that was smooth, likely made of velvet or soft like silk. Either way it was a voice worthy of melting into.

May I join you? I like your company.

He seemed awkwardly unfamiliar with talking to people, but Alex didn't mind. "Sure, have a seat, or make one." She laughed slightly and gestured across the table. She noticed a comfortable feeling that lingered in their conversation. His presence seemed to improve her mood and keep a slight smile on her face. She wondered about her own attraction to him. He was a handsome spectacle but she didn't know where she stood in that aspect. Only time could tell.

Purple is super hard to read on the basic grey the forum has behind it.
Fantastic images though.

Read it raw. It will look weird but it'll help
@Mimic I'll finish my post when I get home in a few hours. :)
I updated my character sheet, if anyone cares to look. roleplayerguild.com/posts/3025806
@Mimic

Alex looked down, bewildered. She was no stranger to this type of thing, but it was sudden and very much unexpected. She assumed her day was going to finish on a constant rush of excitement.

"Is this what people do around here, steal others stools?"

She looked up to the culprit, Zyrid, and smiled her signature smile with a hint of devious calculation."I suppose it is." Looking behind her at the chair, she asked, "What was wrong with that chair? It was fine to me." She let out a small laugh and looked back uo to Zyrid. Watching his eyes flicker in anticipation and a hint of desire. Anticipation of what though, she wonders. For a moment she considers finding out for herself, but she had made the decision to keep that part of her dormant unless it was needed. Her power was often a burden, even if it has helped more than it has hurt.

She realized that she had been staring at Zyrid for an extended amount of time, so she turned to the glass in her hand and took a swig.
Alex is open for interaction. Introduce yourself if she hasn't met you, or strike up a convo if she has. :)
Alex decended the stairs, slowly and cautiously. She wasn't exactly expecting trouble but no one could be certain in a place like this, especially with the possibility of Clay showing up. It wasn't just her that had unresolved conflict, Clay was the Tavern's instigator. If there was a fight to be had, usually Clay was there. If there was a yelling match, chances are that Clay had a hand in starting the whole ordeal. He was not a bad person, not at all, but he lives for trouble. And with Zyrid appearing and trying his had at taking the so-called "alpha" position, Clay was bound to stir things up.

She reached the bottom of the stairs and made her way to the bar. Spotting Zyrid, the cowboy that helped her earlier, the barmaid and a few other people that she was unacquainted with, she decided to just grab a bottle and find a table somewhere secluded. She came behind the bar, gave a slight nod to Ayeka and grabbed herself a bottle of Jack and a glass.

As she was leaving she caught Zyrids eye and gave him the same sly smile he'd seen before. It was partly a regretful smile, leaving traced of doubt about him and his place here. Alex knew he would not be leaving soon, and that was no trouble to her, but she did not want to watch Clay misjudge the situation or drive him out before she had the chance to get to know him.

She continued and found a small table in the back corner that overlooked most of the open tavern floor. Sitting down in the chair, she swung her legs up onto the table and pulled out a cigarette. Pouring a glass and lighting her cigarette, Alex finally felt a sense of calm after the events of the day. She tuned out the voices and thoughts of the people around her.Leaning back in her chair she was lost in thought.

Howdy Ho guys. Had a mini vacation and then a bit of a depressive crisis, no biggie. Just didnt really feel up to posting. Anyways, I skimmed over the last couple of pages but I'm not completely sure whats happening. Haha. Anyways, welcome new Tavern goers (Like @Azereiah and @gohKamikaze) and welcome back old patrons! Nice to see new and old faces. And it's nice to be back. Someone wanna catch me up? @Mimic, you write beautifully and you've posted lengthily and probably the most, care to enlighten me on the past few moments I've missed?

I noticed @Dark Light hasn't returned either, I hope he's doing well. I hope he knows we miss him. <3
