Current folk horror/occult fans: somewhere I saw the label "loup gyaru" and that's either a typo, or an anime werewolf romcom that has a solid chance at being really funny. Like if you agree with the latter

the eternal struggle; RP Edition: None of the ideas going around interest me. My own ideas *only* interest me (mostly; some of y'all are cooler than you get credit for).

I am longer RickyG; Toad King was something my son called me when he was, like, 3, as a compliment. I was sitting on a stoop between some little toad statues or something, he thought it was cool.

Bio

Bios are stupid; oh, sure, everyone can see them, but I bet nobody reads them.

Rude hand gestures and shpadoinkle, there.

No, I wasn't drunk when I wrote this, but I was very tired.

frankly, I've lost interest here. This isn't fun anymore.

I hope there's no hard feelings, but my own thread is much more active, so I'm just going to bow out and focus my energy there.

Someone can feel free to just... Take over my character, that'd be the most practical measure for keeping this going, but I'm out. Or, if there are hard feelings, I dunno, let a Kuwagamon or even a Sniimon snip my head off or something, for the catharsis of it.

Posted, and kept it brief without rushing it. Players should know, there is only the one hotel in Nowhere, so non-locals who aren't visiting relatives are free to collaborate on one more post before I move to the next scene.
The camper truck had begun to pull forward, the man in the denim jacket rolling down the drivers' side window. "Gentleman, Mr. McColm needs to be getting home for the night, and I urge you to do the same." He gave a conspicuous look to the old man over the top of his shades. "Anybody out past curfew without a badge is liable to have a bad night. Move along, now." He didn't give them a chance to respond before pulling into the street and driving away.

Angus heaved a sigh. "He's righ', y'know. No' enough time to make a plan, right now. Ah thank ye lad, for your interest in helpin' an ol' man, in dire straights, but we won't fair too well if we run off 'alf cocked, as they say." He patted Johnny on the shoulder, "Meet me 'ere, t'morrow, alrigh'? An' G'devenin' to you, laddie. Y'are invited too, since y'are curious, but for me, ah got to get home, f'r that damned wisp comes after me, next!" And without another word, he turned and walked away, presumably to a car parked elsewhere.

The Agent gave a chuckle, "You misunderstand; we don't have an office out here, I'm on a special investigation, 'on loan', one might say, and I supposedly have the full cooperation of local law enforcement. The curfew is a necessary precaution, and hopefully doesn't go as far as road blocks- you don't seem like a local, yourself, Ms. Gataki. I apologize that there isn't more time to explain some of what's going on, but I'm sure one of the locals-"

He paused, as if he just remembered something he'd forgotten. He looked sideways at Ozzie and Steve. "Is your friend alright to walk, or do you gentlemen need a ride home? I could call the deputy back...?" He paused to let that sink in, knowing of course they were stoned out of their minds. "If you're alright, well, I do have a schedule to keep, and must be getting Ms. Gataki back, for the night. Shall we?" He offered the elbow of the arm carrying his milk.

The Quiet Invasion has begun- it's too late to stop it, let's see how long we can outrun it!

So, this is meant to begin as the aliens are taking over- I intend to give out plot details, in character, in the first several posts, as part of establishing the setting and plot. I'll be playing a character who's discovered what's going on, and is just trying to outrun "them" and find people he can trust- assuming there's anybody left who's still human...

I'm attempting a sort of "Walking Dead/Invasion of The Body Snatchers" thing. So, themes of paranoia, desperation, and survival are going to be central. Open to some other adult stuff, as long as it isn't forced, and doesn't derail it, but that's not the point of this. Both of us will be free to introduce and control npc's, just so long as we're both willing to take the initiative and move the plot along.

PM me if you're interested!
Alright, get ready for a radical jump.

You should all speak to myself, or one of the co-gm's, to discuss how some of the current interactions resolved, but, seeing them through to the end I think will drag on for a bit, it can be summarized in upcoming posts, but, I want to get this thing rolling.

I'm also open to opinions and feedback on this; if you want to finish out the current interactions, that's cool, we'll work something out.

I want to move things along, "jump to the next scene", but, I'd rather not be a tyrant about it.

So, yeah, there's the update- I'm working on a post, hoping to push this along, but, I think I need player input.
alright, going to work up some replies, today!
Hmmm... I might be interested in making a seeker! I need to finish reading through the material, though. Frankly, I'm involved in 2 group rp's, and 2 1x1's, so realistically my plate is a bit full, but, I've subscribed to keep an eye on this one!
remind me in the morning. about to be involved in 2 1X1's, now, so probably not.
