Hmm. I'm intrigued, but I'm not sure I could swing that exact character. Unless the self-conflict is a driving part of the character.
@Cynthx I was asking more if it's multiple back-and-forth trips or once they're Digital they don't go back. I'm okay with whatever setting, as I live in a sleepy middle-of-nowhere in the northeast U.S. with a significant percent elderly population. I just need to know if we're using local-only or international Digidestined, and if it's Japan, Europe, North America, etc.
@CynthxMahz has graciously made the site make the tabs for you. You just choose if your first post is an OOC or IC post. I was gonna ask about if it's Japan or not. Will we be going between the Real World and Digital World?
I noticed. Not problematic.
I share the same initial issues, but don't see him needing to be a tie-in. Also because most slag/resources is being re-routed to Ta-Congro recently. Rutau's supplier of ore/metal would either be from Fa-Congro, Onu-Congro, or Ba-Congro.

While there are some good ideas, and nothing's a technical issue except his digging claws would be his tools, and I do like the use of a Kanohi Miru, the personality seems, well... it seems like either there's not enough detail, or you're trying to have one of everything and basically do anything? I don't know. Also nothing, like, stood out, persay? Like I couldn't pick out an idea and say anything about it, not that there aren't ideas, just not one that stands out?
