There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Bio

Personal Profile

Name: Taylor
Pronouns: They/them
Age: Mid 20s
Relationship: Married (happily, I might add)
Time Zone: Arizona (we hate daylight savings, so it's MST year-round)
Writing History: I've been on a number of different roleplaying websites for over a decade and a half
Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

Serix laughed when Cassie confidently stated that he would be a protective father. She was definitely right. As long as they stayed with the humans, he wasn’t about to put his child at risk of being targeted by them. Of course, he had no way of knowing if the humans would treat a child that shared their blood the same way they treated him, but he didn’t want to take any chances. He was grateful that Cassie seemed to feel the same way. As long as they worked together as a team, he felt certain that they could protect their child from danger. He could almost feel his worries about having a baby in the caverns melt away. Almost.

Serix stared up at the ceiling when Cassie asked what he thought about for a name, “I honestly haven’t thought much about that either… Kidamas is a noble name for a female though. In the ancient tongue, it means ‘Light of the Moons.’” He held Cassie close and met her eyes, smiling thoughtfully. “Your mother must have been a special female to have had such a beautiful name.

“As for male names,” Serix mused, lifting his violet gaze to the ceiling once again. “I know quite a few. Yandre, Kojax, Zoaril, Gavik, Ixmaar… Those were some of the Lunairans in my classes. There were elders with regal, ancient names as well: Roagaraw, Ziffirak, Lyndagor, Fraverel, Hynderix…” He trailed off as another thought came to him. “What about Traejak? It means ‘Resilient Spirit’ in the ancient tongue. It’s a powerful name for a male.”

He turned to Cassie. “I don’t know much about human traditions, but for Lunairans, names are believed to be important in foretelling what kind of person one will become. I’ve never considered myself very superstitious, but I still believe it to a certain extent… For example, my name means ‘Curious Wanderer,’ and look how I turned out.” He laughed. “I wandered away from everything I knew to follow a curiosity: you.” He kissed her playfully. “If there’s really something to this naming business, I’d like for my son to be resilient in these hard times. What do you think?”
This sounds interesting!

Just a couple questions:
1. Like Polybius asked: What era/world does this take place in?
2. How developed is your idea for the story? Is it just a nubbin or do you have the beginnings of a plot? I can work with either, but I'm just curious :)
3. How often do you expect your partner to post? I would love to join, but I have a busy schedule and can only manage once or twice a week.

I'm a mid-high advanced roleplayer and, since you requested them, here are a two post samples from my earlier RPs.

Sample post based on character's internal thoughts:

Sample post based on character's interactions with others:
“Strawberries are delicious,” Serix nodded and popped another into his mouth. “They’re so different than the fruits my people eat. Well… all of your Earth fruits are different than ours, but strawberries taste the best. They stain everything though.” He contemplatively held up his hand, which was tinted red from the berries, and then shrugged, continuing to eat. There was a brief silence between them at they lapsed into thought.

Serix wondered what had become of the other Lunairans on the ship. It had been quite a while since he left them, and apart from the unexpected appearance of the pilot, he had caught neither sight nor sound of his people since the humans took him and Cassie to their hideout. Were they still on the ship or had they started forming colonies on the Earth? Did they ever find out about the remaining humans? The pilot was supposed to have reported back to the higher powers, but after he turned up in the caverns with Hunter, Serix wasn’t sure that he had.

He exhaled and leaned back on the bed next to Cassie, carefully angling his body so he wouldn’t put too much pressure on his healing wounds. No point worrying about future uncertainties when he and his mate were safe for now. Everything was back to normal, so he wanted to savor their day of privacy for as long as he could. He met her kiss and smiled when she changed the subject, obviously eager to put their misfortunes behind them.

“If we had a child, Serix. What would you want, a boy or a girl?” Cassie asked. “What do you think a child of ours would be like?”

“To be honest, I haven’t thought much about the child’s sex,” Serix answered with a shrug. “I suppose I can more easily picture myself as the father of a male because the only parent-child interaction I experienced when I was younger was that of myself and my father… but that doesn’t mean I would be disappointed to have a female.” He paused to think. “As for the appearance, I’m confident the child would look more Lunairan than human, given our heritages.” He met Cassie’s eyes thoughtfully. “I’m a pure-blooded Lunairan, and you also share half of my people’s genes, which means any child we have would be mostly Lunairan as well. I don’t know how that would translate physically… It depends on whether the human genes or Lunairan genes are more dominant. Most likely the child would inherit a darker hair color and lighter skin tone, but I don’t know about the eyes.” He tilted his head slightly. “It looks like none of the half-bloods here have luminescent eyes, so I’d guess it’s a recessive trait. But who knows?” He smirked and leaned forward to kiss Cassie again. “We won’t find out until we have a child and see for ourselves.”
Serix was relieved when he and Cassie escaped the dining hall and made it back to their room without any more confrontations. Even though Emily had said she spoke for most of the humans in the caves when she apologized, he had seen the faces of the others. Mistrust, hate, disgust, anger, annoyance… He had seen it all reflected in the humans’ expressions. They were not so ready to forgive him for the crime he never committed. He only hoped they would keep their frustrations to themselves rather than lash out at him like Hunter did. One bitter male was bad enough. He didn’t need an entire colony of them stalking him like prey.

“I’m glad to say it wasn’t as bad as I expected either,” Cassie said as they sat down together on the bed to eat their dinner privately. “I was worried one of them might try to jump you with the looks some of them were giving us.”

Serix winced slightly. Cassie had noticed the humans’ hostility, too. He knew he shouldn’t have been surprised by his mate’s perceptiveness — it wasn’t like the half-bloods were trying to be particularly sneaky — but he still didn’t want her to worry for his sake. She had done enough of that after what happened in his earlier “interrogation.” When she leaned in to kiss him, he met her lips with a weary exhale, running his thumb over her hand as he held it in his. After the difficulties they had faced in the humans’ compound, he was even more grateful to her for staying by his side.

After a moment, Cassie leaned back to go over their new rules once more, “We just... need to be very careful from here on out. Keep to ourselves for now and interact with people we know for sure we can trust. We also need to make sure you go nowhere alone with anyone else. We can’t have a repeat of what happened at the bonfire that caused all this trouble. We need to make sure that I go with you, no matter what. They can’t say anything against you if I was there with with you as well.” She kissed him again. “I know it will be difficult. But once all of this is cleared up and what Hunter did is brought to light, then things will get better and people will start trusting us more.”

Maybe, Serix added silently. Somehow, he doubted that Hunter would get caught any time soon, if at all. Ryan and the other humans were too afraid to consider the possibility of one of their own pulling such a risky stunt. They would much rather stay in their blissful ignorance and assume that it was the fault of an outsider. He lifted a strawberry to his mouth and took a bite, chewing thoughtfully. At least the worst had passed. The humans were content to believe the Pilot snuck in without help, so he wasn’t in immediate danger anymore. He and Cassie had that going for them.

Serix nodded when Cassie pointed out that they also had the rest of the day to relax by themselves, “True.” He looked up, meeting her gaze. “A whole day to spend with my beautiful mate. I feel like I just won some sort of prize.” Letting go of his concerns for the moment, he gave her a playful simper. “If only we had a door with a lock so we could keep them away longer. I wouldn’t mind being stuck in here with you for a week.”

It's okay; I don't mind any if I have something to respond to during the week. I hope your life frees up a little bit soon so you have more lazy about time

I wish that were the case ^_^;;
Unfortunately, I'm only going to get busier from here (my Sundays should stay relatively open, so I'll hopefully be able to continue posting once a week) and my schedule won't clear up until about March or April of 2016
Then I'll have two months of relaxation until July when I start getting ready to ship off to college :'D
So much to do, so little time to do it...
I had just initiated my first interaction when Summer went away :(

where is everybody???

Sorry guys, my schedule is so busy lately that I can't even open my laptop except to write papers :/
Basically I'm at school from 8:00AM (sometimes even 6:30AM or 7:00AM) to 6:00PM and then I come home, eat dinner, and go to work at 7:00PM, after which I come home again and go to bed to repeat the cycle the next day

Because my week days are this packed, I'll likely only be able to make posts on the weekends (Fri-Sun)
Sorry for the inconvenience >u<
@Summer
I posted and forgot to tag you >_<

It's all good ^_^
I'll try to get a reply done tomorrow, but I'm busy so it may take a few days

Lol yeah. I'm going to bother Nori and Jun with Kaskae. But probably Jun more :p Maybe Jake will come back and we can bother him~ He's the type of person that Kaskae would like.

Could be fun :3
Jun has yet to interact with any of the (active) main gals, haha
@Summer Does everyone forget Shou owns both Romeo and Jinxie. Sobsobsob. << Jinxie currently is the only female dog, too, actually.

...and she's the smallest of the lot. Romeo is pretty big since he's a G-Shep cross. She's a snuggly wuggly little Jack Russell, inspired by a dog I saw win the obstacle course event at a dog show I went to, once, called Dumbo. :') That thing was like a bullet, and so is Jinxie.
There's so much I reveal about Shou OOC, I should probably start adding it to his bio.

Jinxie is his ex-girlfriend'a dog originally. He chose to keep her since they lived together, anyway. Shou bought the house out of the bustle of the city to start a family with Alex someday. Alessandra has Alex as a nickname for some bizarre reason. The older professors at the academy might know her, and him, when they were studying there. She was a physics major whereas he did biology.

Oh I remember them now! Sorry >w<
At least there's a chance for doggy romance
I want to ship the pets
