There's a panhandler who hangs out on the street corner by our dispensary every afternoon with a sign that just says "Green 4 Green?" and tbh, I respect my boy's confidence.

Personal Profile

Name: Taylor
Pronouns: They/them
Age: Mid 20s
Relationship: Married (happily, I might add)
Time Zone: Arizona (we hate daylight savings, so it's MST year-round)
Writing History: I've been on a number of different roleplaying websites for over a decade and a half
Hobbies: Writing, fitness, driving/exploring, hiking, camping, traveling, tabletop games, anything NEW (I love trying things I've never done before)
Roleplayer Profile

Format: 1x1s only. Maybe I'll try a group RP again someday, but I've never had one last longer than a few months
Posting Speed: Depending on my schedule, I can usually post at least once per week
Favorite Genres: Modern, Historical, Romance, Action/Adventure, Horror/Dark, Fantasy, Slice of Life, Dystopian, can be convinced to write some Sci-Fi
Hard 'no's: Fandoms. Sorry, but I can't maintain interest in characters/worlds I didn't build with my partner
Template: Public threads or PMs. I prefer to keep all my RPs in one place, so no emails or G-docs or the like
Rating: Comfortable with 18+ content, but it's not a necessity and I prefer not to center a plot around explicit scenes
Level: Advanced. Will consistently provide around 400-700 words per post, but can occasionally leap to 2000+
Character preference: One main character, but large side casts are greatly enjoyed. Because I write long posts, I prefer not to double
Gender preference: Male. You'll be hard pressed to convince me to play a female that isn't a background character. It's just not my forte
Romantic Relationships: MxF or MxM (currently prefer MxM)
Character Images: Faceclaims or detailed descriptions only. I envision the characters like real people in my mind, so I can't take anime seriously
OOC chat: Yes please! I'm a total extrovert who loves to get to know the amazing minds behind my partners' characters

Really, it's not a problem! I don't mind waiting as long as you don't feel rushed :)
RP is a hobby, after all. It's not life or death if replies are spaced out
As soon as all of the participants were released to act as they pleased, Jett made a beeline for the stairs. Having already explored most of the house’s ground level, he wanted to see what the second floor looked like. It was probably just full of bedrooms—there would have to be a lot to house this many people—but if they were anything like the rest of the mansion, they were sure to be something special. He wondered how big they were and what the view would be like. Were the bathrooms public or would they each have their own? He couldn’t wait to find out.

As Jett climbed the short flights of steps, he noticed someone else was keeping pace just behind him. “Can’t wait to see your room either, huh?” he glanced over his shoulder when he reached the second floor and smirked at Tom as the blonde clambered up beside him. The only other person to follow them up the steps was a cameraman—the crew was fast to start recording everyone’s reactions to their new home—so Jett guessed the others must have stayed behind to explore the rest of the house down below.

“You kidding?” Tom grinned back at him. “I want to make sure I scored one with an ocean view. Hey, if you get one and I don’t, I’ll trade ya.”

“Hell no,” Jett snorted.

The two went on to wander the upper level of the house. They found that it was shaped like a big “L,” with a railed catwalk separating the four rooms in the west wing from the four in the south wing. Half of the rooms overlooked the ocean—three in the west and one in the south—and the other half overlooked the surrounding palm trees. As for the room assignments (in order from the top of the “L” to the bottom) Ethan, Jett, Mia, and Tom were placed in the west wing—much to their excitement, both Tom and Jett had oceanside rooms—and Traci, Max, Chloe, and David were placed in the south wing.

Once they were done exploring, Jett and Tom split up to arrange their own rooms. The cameraman that had been following them around went after Tom, so Jett found himself with a little more time alone. He unpacked his things, hanging his clothes in the closet, setting his guitar up in its stand, putting his toiletries in the bathroom, throwing up a few posters of New York City—it was a precaution in case he got homesick later on—and placing a picture of his family on his nightstand. Feels like home already, he thought, pleased with the bedroom’s transformation. When he was finished, he kicked off his shoes and stepped over to the large window that made up the western wall, looking out over the ocean. It really was a view to die for. The moon and stars reflected on the ocean’s soft waves, which could be heard faintly as they lapped at the sandy shore below. I should try surfing sometime, he mused, watching the rolling tides serenely.

“Knock, knock,” Tom’s voice came from the open doorway. He leaned against the frame, arms crossed over his chest. The cameraman stood a few paces behind him, filming their interaction. “You done prettying up your room yet?”

“Yeah,” Jett answered. “Why?”

“I was thinking,” Tom shrugged one shoulder. “We should get everybody together for a welcome-to-the-show party. This is the ultimate party house, after all, and it would be a good opportunity to get to know the rest of the folks here. So, you wanna help me round up the gang?”

“Sounds like fun,” Jett grinned. “I’m in.” He followed the blonde into the hallway, where they split up once again to knock on the other participants’ doors. The cameraman followed Jett this time as he walked up to the room next to his own. The resident’s nameplate read MIA. She was the blonde girl, right? The last person to show up? he tried to remember as he rapped on her door with his knuckles. “Party downstairs in fifteen! You don’t want to miss it!”
My reply is currently a work in progress. I should have it done sometime in the next two hours!

Spacing out while sitting at the break room table, Leo jumped when his cell phone had a mini explosion of incoming text messages. He had forgotten that since it had been set on “Do Not Disturb” during the advertisement meeting, any messages sent to him earlier came in on a delay. He picked up his phone to see who was trying to reach him. We’re out of food again? Leo rolled his eyes as he read his roommate’s text. I thought I just picked some up last week! What does Reed do with it all? His fingers worked nimbly as he typed out a reply:

To: Reed
Dammit Reed. You gotta stop eating like a fat man. Groceries are expensive. But yea, I can stop and grab a few while I’m out

Hitting the send button on the first reply, Leo opened up the next message, which had been sent from Ryder. He sighed audibly as he read that she had been out drinking again. Whenever they hung out together, he always took it upon himself to keep her from getting completely wasted, but he couldn’t do that when she partied without him. Really, she wasn’t his responsibility—Ryder was an adult and could make her own decisions—but Leo always felt the need to try and help the girl out when those decisions were less than good for her. He tapped out a quick text back:

To: Ryder
No bueno. Hope you feel better soon! BTW I’m stopping by the grocery store so let me know if you want me to grab you anything. Later

Leo sent the second reply and checked out the last messages that had been sent from Ida. The short string of hasty typos and corrections made him laugh. Oh, the joy of autocorrect. It was more amusing than it was useful. He wrote a reply:

To: Ida
Hell no! I’m screenshotting that for blackmail. You better be on your best behavior ;)

Leo was just finishing up his second sandwich—roast beef and cheddar; they were too good to have just one—when Ida arrived in the break room. “Hey,” he grinned as she joined him at the table. Breaks were always more fun when he could spend the time chatting with someone else, and Ida was a great person to do that with.

“So, are you free after work?” Ida asked. “I was stalkin’ Zay’s twitter last night and heard she’s performing. You wanna go?”

“Shoot, I wish I could, but I already made plans to defend the city from evil this afternoon,” Leo said with a wink. “You know, hero business comes first and all that… Maybe next time.” He popped the last bite of sandwich into his mouth. “Actually, I don’t think I’m doing anything today. My roomie needs me to pick up some food at the store later, but I’m free apart from that. So yeah, I’d be down to go! A live performance by Zay sounds awesome.”
Wait no longer~

@Lady Hestia Ohai~ Fancy meeting you here ;)
I would most definitely be interesting in taking on the role of the male leader of the white tigers!
I'll get started on my CS soon~

Kaine’s smile faded as Asha shrugged off his threat, acting as nonchalantly as if they were merely exchanging casual banter. She was a brave one… for a human that was. However, he knew he would break her of her ignorant courage eventually. All humans were fragile creatures, easily manipulated, easily destroyed. It only took a little nudge in the right direction, and he would soon show the girl her place in the circus. For now, though, he would play along with her little game of bravery, since it was still far too soon for him to strike. Iliana would have his head if anything happened to her new pet, and, given the demon’s attraction to humans, she was watching him closely. He would just have to be patient.

Kaine’s serpentine gaze drifted down to the tarot cards the girl was dealing for herself. Right, Iliana had mentioned something about her being a fortune teller. He eyed her skeptically. Does she really have such a skill? The ringmaster isn’t easily fooled, but it’s hard to believe a simple human has such an ability. Unable to read the cards, himself, he had no way of knowing whether or not she had any real talent. He hoped she was a fraud though. If it came to light that the girl had no special abilities, Iliana would surely hand her over to be eaten by the monsters, and the forbidden fruit would be relinquished of its protection. He licked his lips.

“It’s very nice to meet you, Kaine,” Asha said, keeping up her peaceful façade. “If you don’t mind me asking... what part do you play in Noir? I’m still trying to learn everyone’s place. It’s not as easy as it would seem.”

The demon hesitated for a moment before answering her question. It still felt strange to address her as an equal, even if he was only doing it to appease Iliana and keep himself out of trouble. “I perform in the circus—feats of strength, knife handling, hypnotisms… acts of that nature—but I’m not your average monster by any means.” He stretched out his legs as he leaned against the tree, head tilted slightly and eyelids drooping in a bored manner. “Around here, I’m something of an authority. You see, there aren’t many demons in general—we’re a bit of a rare breed—and in this circus, I’m the only one.” The corner of his lip twitched in a smirk. “Little Human, you don’t know how fortunate you are that Iliana cares so much about your future.” He leaned towards Asha, suddenly and smoothly closing the distance between them until his mouth hovered just above her neck. He inhaled deeply, taking in her enticing smell, and then let his breath out in warm sigh. Kaine spoke in a murmur as he went on, “If you weren’t under her protection, I would take you right now.”

“Asha’s been gone for a while now; don’t you think?” Flynn said concernedly, tracing circles in the dirt with a stick. He and Taj had been sitting outside the tents since the human wandered off on her own. The werewolf had wanted leave her to her exploring and go to bed, but the vampire wouldn’t hear of it. If anything happened to Asha, they were the ones who would be held responsible, and Iliana wasn’t exactly known for her mercy. He shuddered to think what the ringmaster would do if the girl was injured. So, despite Taj’s protests, they stayed up.

“She probably found some quiet little spot in the woods and fell asleep,” the chocolate brown performer grumbled. “I think she has the right idea. We should do that too.”

“Forget it, Taj,” Flynn shook his head. “We’re not sleeping until she’s safe in her own tent. Orders from the big boss, remember?”

“But why did Iliana have to make us babysit the human?” the werewolf groaned, flopping on the ground. “I couldn’t care less if she got eaten. Hell, I’d eat her myself, if I could. The last thing I want to be doing right now is taking care of Iliana’s play thing.”

“We don’t have a choice. She already chose us for the job, so we’re just gonna have to do it.”

“That human better stop dawdling then or she’s gonna need protection from me—Hey!” Taj sat up angrily as the vampire flicked his stick at him.

“Shut up already.”

“Ass.”

Flynn opened his mouth to respond, but paused when he caught sight of Efren and Pixie approaching them. The two were locked in a quiet conversation, but the vampire spoke up when they within range to talk, “So what do you think of her? I think she’s just darling! She and Kaine would make such a cute couple. They already look like one sitting under that tree!”

“Asha’s with Kaine?” Flynn blanched. Shit. This is bad. If that damned demon touches her, we’re as good as dead! Distracted, he missed the rest of the conversation between the other three. Something about whether or not the human girl was going to cause trouble… Oh well. It didn’t matter. He climbed to his feet and turned to Taj, “Come on, lazy ass. We need to get Asha away from Kaine before he tries anything funny.”

“Ugh, this human is such a pain!” Taj whined as he forced himself to stand up and follow the vampire into the woods.

When they found her, Asha was sitting beneath a gnarled tree with—as Pixie had said—none other than Kaine. Flynn muttered a string of curse words under his breath, hiding behind another nearby tree as he watched the demon lean towards the girl, obviously toying with her. The last thing Flynn wanted was to do was get between Kaine and his target, but with Iliana’s threats looming over his head, it seemed like he had no other choice. Screw it. He marched out from behind the tree with Taj following close behind, “Alright, alright, you two. Break it up. It’s past Asha’s bedtime.” He held out a hand to the human, “Come on, love. Taj and I’ll show you to your tent.”
I updated most of Leo's relationships with character thoughts/descriptions if any of you want to check that out. There are still some blanks left, so PM me if you want to discuss/change anything :)
