Hey @everyone
White Wolf Returns: A Homecoming for World of Darkness
For over three decades, White Wolf has stood at the bleeding edge of supernatural and horror storytelling. From Vampire: The Masquerade to Werewolf: The Apocalypse and Mage: The Ascension, our games helped shape generations of roleplayers, writers, and dreamers who sought meaning in the shadows.
Today, we are proud to announce that World of Darkness will once again be guided under the name that birthed it: White Wolf.
This isnβt just a name change. Itβs a return to our rootsβand a commitment to the future. A future where mature horror stories are told with care. Where community and collaboration are central. Where fans, creators, and licensees can find clarity, support, and inspiration under a banner they trust.
Simultaneously, we are announcing today that White Wolf will now be a publisher, as well as a licensor, of World of Darkness games. This means that we will continue to work with our network of licensing partners who bring you all the great video games, tabletop roleplaying games, card games, and more -- but we will also develop some new games internally, and publish them.
The first game that we will publish as White Wolf is Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 as co-publisher with Paradox Interactive. We will announce additional games from White Wolf as the publisher later this year.
As White Wolf, we will: β’ Reinforce our legacy as pioneers of narrative-driven horror and emotional roleplay across all our products. β’ Provide clear leadership across all World of Darkness media and products. β’ Support creators with improved tools, transparency, and canon guidance. β’ Maintain rigorous standards for inclusivity, sensitivity, and collaboration in storytelling.
The night belongs to us all. Welcome home, Vamily.
@DeadDropAccepted. Post it in the character tab. The color code for the headers is 'b8b8b8', if you want to adjust your character's name, as it's slightly darker.
I hope there are at least a few more players joining you. It might not be so fun to do this alone.
@DeadDropDevelop the disadvantages/advantages a bit more. What happens in her nightmares? How is she when she drinks? What's the deal with the 'Washington State Troopers'? How does the 'daddy issues' affect her? A 'social butterfly' isn't automatically liked by everyone. What is it that catches other's attention about her being this way?
Born into a middle classed family things seemed average, even up maybe. Exploring when you grew up always was the best but when it's time to become adult things just seem to get harder. We live with our own demons and these demons just never seem to leave, just the way life seems to spit these things out. Growing up and getting through high school on the skin of my teeth was fun enough as it is but seeing shit at a young age really had me shaken up but I tried to move on.
I like technology it's a great escape, it seems like everyone is on their phones nowadays and I can't seem to pull myself from the computer as well. Crazy how advanced we've become in only a few decades but now I see myself in the field for it, compute tech that is and that's what I went to school for. Sometimes I wish I could share the tech we had with people in third world countries but that seems just too far-fetched.
I'm a computers whiz for a small independent game studio in Seattle, living at age twenty-three making it by the skin of my teeth. Graduating from the Unversity of Washington with a degree in computer science I went into the industry as a coder and that's what I really stuck to. I mind my own business but I often fall into my vices, a bummer but that's what it is. The world is truly a cruel place to live.
Her at the time boyfriend Zach ran some poor guy over with her sitting shotgun in the car. They left him for dead in the woods, after leaving him to die the man's body was found by joggers. Both Zach and Alex felt extreme guilt and she experienced nightmares and anxiety after the incident. She stills worries that she'll be linked to the murder, especially since Zach had been missing for a year either taking his life or gone into hiding. It's like a creepy feeling she can never shake.
Nightmares - Ever since that day when I dream, I'm the one driving and hitting him. He never seems to stop, and then the police lights pop up behind us, that never use to happen before. I usually lose control and crash, screaming. The whole 9 yards.
Alcoholic - intolerable, loud, and a bit messy. Drinking seems to bring out the weird in some of us.
Washington State Troopers - we have new information we'd like to share with the press
Private Investigators - hired by the family of the deceased a duo of unforgettable ex-felons scours for answers after a hit and run
Daddy issues - I dont talk to dad too much, not since mom died. He always calls, I dont pick up. I don't want to talk to him, he is tearing me apart with him clinginess I just dont want to deal with it. I'm not mom.
Missing - Zach missing for so long has me worried, we stopped dating shortly after the incident but if he flipped to the cops I'm fucked or if he's dead, I don't know which one hurts me more.
Krav Maga - Dad forced me to go every week to class, payed off I guess.
Social Butterfly - I find talking to people easy, I can attract a crowd and entertain people easily.
Peak Health - I eat healthily and go to the gym, it has to amount to something.
@DeadDrop That was fast. I will properly go through character sheets when everything is set. There might also be additional information in the OOC that you want to consider for your character. Are you familiar with the game, Kult, itself?
