with the crazy uncle no where around, Xaven smiled, standing beside his parents when she came out into the garden and she could see, flameless Lanterns, and thank god it wasnt one of those overly hot days either, it was just right, with the blue sky, and the white clouds. when she got done hugging his parents and she came for him. "two in one day" he teased a bit, hugging her back. "im on a roll" giving her a squeeze. "your welcome Nessie" rubbing her back as he held her tightly. "its okay" he whispered, turning and kissing her cheek while his parents nonchalantly looked.. well anywhere but toward them. his father made sure the table was set, plates were even and such, even as he had a small smirk on his lips. his mother fussed over the pile of presents, not really a pile, but there was one cookie tin sitting on top of three boxes.

"okay now" his mother said. "stop hogging the birthday girl.. Vanessa sweetheart come on over and sit down, you've got presents to open and a cake to admire and devour" grinning. the cake was a Cherry Cheesecake with Chocolate swirls, and no birthday candles anywhere in sight. Xaven lead her over to the table, smiling as he leaned against the side. his father held out his present first, a black, leather bound book, her name embossed on the front of it, in gold, with the pages blank, but with her initals at the bottom, also in gold. "everyone needs somewhere to right down their private thoughts, someone that will be completely unbiased to tell anything you want to" he explained. "now" patting her hand. "you have someplace to do it" Xaven looked at his father. "a book? you got her a book.. you are such a nerd sometimes pops" "mine next" Xaven's mother said. "now, these are for camp" holding up the tin. "your favorite kind" she smiled. "this one" holding up the photo album. it was simple, but elegant looking. light brown covering, silver clasps on the ends. but when she opened it, she'd find half the pages were already full of just things.. photo's of them all doing vacations, or time she'd stayed over. "the blank ones are for you to fill up" his mother said, kissing the top of her head. "memories are important" smiling now, in that truly wicked way. "and this, is cause you are seventeen years old now, and if i catch you wearing another one piece i'll kill myself" sliding the last box over. "something for Camp and whenever" inside that was four different styles and types of Bikini's, two pieces. "sweet" Xaven said, leaning over to take a look, before getting the back of his head smacked by his father.

Kade leaned against the bumper, his Motorcycle over there, idleing, waiting. his eyes watching Sarah help with Vanessa's ankle. Kade smirked, his arms crossed over his chest causally. "i remember that, it was always a competition with you" he could remember that, all of that and every time he'd won, she could get him so annoyed that they'd be doing whatever it was again. "i think my grandmother said something like that.. best way to a man's heart is threw his stomach, which wont be hard for me i guess, i've been eating nothing but MRE's or Mess hall food.. if we go by that logic, anyone brings me a delicious Pie im probably going to have to marry" making a small kidding joke as he then, when Sarah was done affixing the compress, Vanessa was hopping over, her hand on his shoulder, he looked at her, nodding. "thank you" before he wrapped his arms around her, returning the hug, letting her go. his grandmother had been the last relative he had, with her gone.. that was it, it was down to him.

Smiling when Riley sounded eager to help, and when Vanessa said she'd need someone strong for the furniture and building cabinets he nodded. "i can help with that, and not really cause of the crash, it will give me something to do, i might be out of the Marines but they arnt out of me yet, i still get up early, expecting to do patrols or convoys so, you'll be giving me a purpose" smiling when she mentioned his house. "if i changed anything, my grandmother would come back from the dead to kill me, i dont want to risk that. she, might go after Accomplices" he looked back with a half grin thing he had back in high school, as he leaned there, watching her. he didnt expect to run into anyone his own age when he got back, most of his generation when they graduated got the hell out of dodge and didnt look back. best he'd expected was the older generations or the younger, kid ones.. it was nice to have someone around his own age, and with it being Vanessa, it made being a Civvie a lot better.

Kade looked up, toward the B&B. "Sarah, the phone is ringing inside" having heard it from on the street, he blinked and looked back to the group.
Xaven sat there, laughing. "clearly, but still it was weird" shaking his head. before looking up at her when she mentioned that the girl that could eat had changed, he nodded. "they dont treat you right, and it sucks you had to move away, mom and dad would let you move in, in a heartbeat you know" take the poke when he stole her bacon, he grinned at her as he munched on it. when she was done, he leaned back shocked. "me, kicked out, what ever for" he asked, before laughing at why. "oh i see how you are going to be, be a tease.. i bring your breakfast in bed and then i get kicked out" letting her try to pull him up, though she managed she almost fell to the floor as he stood, taking the tray. "you are very welcome" leaning down, getting the kiss but it was closer to his lips that he expected, not that he minded that as he smiled, seeing her blush. "right right.. see you in forty" walking out of her room, taking the tray back downstairs, into the kitchen he put her dishes in the sink, before the tray back in the cabinet, before he went back up stairs, he had to shower as well, he smelled like grease.

coming out of his room ten minutes later, showered and wearing clothes. a simple pair of jeans and a shirt, he sprinted down the stairs. "morning" seeing his parents at the table. "she'll be down shortly" giving them notice, each one got her a present.. his father had gotten her a personalize journal to write in, and his mother, well she'd gotten her a photo album, and a tin of her favorite cookies, homemade of course cause store bought sucked straight up.
is still here *raises hand*
Xaven knew she was putting on the smile for him, he knew it and it was okay, he'd take even a fake smile as he brought over her breakfast. "you are welcome" waiting, and sure enough when she opened his present, he grinned when she threw herself at him, wrapping his arms around her, he kissed her cheek. "your welcome, and i miss him too, i miss them both" not caring one bit when she moved around and was on his lap, it was normal, though not something that had been done in a few years. he smiled after the few minutes and she noticed. "you are alright" rubbing her back, before she was laying back on the bed, and had the breakfast tray before her. "is not" looking at the food. "the girl i know, could eat double that, and still snack" he teased, that was years and years ago, with the matabolism of a kid. when she had arrived, his mom had comment she was to skinny, and had taken it upon herself to make sure she was getting second helpings when she wanted it or not.

"i can promise, that i will try with all that i can to keep whatever promise... eh.. i promise" he finally said, to much talking for one simple thing. winking at her as she ate, before hearing the promise she wanted, he nodded. "that i can" he whispered. "no candles at all tonight, dad actually laid down a law about that" giving her leg a squeeze, reassurance. right outside the door, Xaven's uncle was listening, deeming it nothing not worthy he went and left them be. Xaven reached and took a piece of bacon and munched on it. "so, my uncle is psycho" he said. "last night, came to my room right after all were asleep, and started going on and on about our family, and how some are meant for greatness and are blessed" shaking his head. "he's been hitting the good stuff apparently" smirking.
Oh we can so do that I love that idea
Xaven had been up since 6 that morning, it was his best friends birthday, and she didnt want a cake, which she was totally getting one anyway, his mother was the boss round these parts, and she didnt take no for an answer. they had today, and then tomorrow they were heading to camp and after that, summer was over and he wasnt going to be seeing her again til hopefully next summer (hopefully) he'd told himself as he flipped the bacon over in the skillet, being as quiet as he could. they had a full full house, for some reason, his odd uncle.. his dad's brother had showed up just out of the blue, which his mom and dad both said had happened three times before, apparently his uncle was some time of wanderer drifter. to Xaven was just weird. turning around, looking over his shoulder, his uncle was snoring on the couch. shrugging he turned back around, not noticing his uncle opening his eyes to stare at him, something he'd been doing secretly since he got there, a day and he'd know for sure.

Xaven, once the morning breakfast was done.. he'd had her favorite eggs, bacon, extra extra chrispy, even risking it, his mother's homemade biscuts recipe. completing the birthday breakfast, he added a glass of orange juice, and then his present. carrying them toward the guest bedroom, he managed to turn the knob while holding the plate, and he walked inside, kicking the door closed behind him. "happy birthday to you" smiling ."happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Nessie" winking. "happy birthday to you" walking over, he waited til she could sit up ,before sitting the breakfast down. "enjoy that, cause it took me an hour and ah half to make it just right" sitting down at the foot of the bed, he held out his present for her. "happy birthday, open it quick.. hurry hurry hurry!" he said, rushing her cause he wanted to see her face. when she'd open it, inside she'd find a picture that had.. well it had been lost in the fire, but he'd found his copy of it.. it was of him and her, younger.. they'd been fishing, and were both holding up their catch. her father and mother hugging them both. and to be funny, her dad and Xaven had taking his fish off, and hooked her father's wading boot to the line, just to be funny. "i found it in my photos, and i know you lost yours, i couldnt have that so, thats yours now, so you can remember the good times yea"
haha, i love that idea.. and your right, it would make for easy money since she can make them behave..lol
Name: Xaven Vendal

Age:23

Appearance:

(werewolf):

Gender: Male

Personality: Xaven is one of those guys that to look at him, you'd think he was spoiled, stuck up, but when you got to know him, and really talk to him, he was as nice, down to earth as they came type of guy

Background story: Xaven's family lived outside the big city, his mother had never lived in a city, would never and had told his father it was pretty much how it was going to go, and it went. for year's Xaven was a normal kid, exploring the woods, bringing up animals, annoying his father by leaving frogs or snakes in his room. he'd gotten along with another wild child, Vanessa or Nessie when he wanted to annoy her a bit.. but when she moved, they only had limited contact, til really that even faded.

it was the week after his eighteen birthday, that his uncle came over, out of the blue.. his father's brother, and he got to talking and met with his lost uncle, though that night, something happened that he wasnt prepared for, something that was part of his family, though to hear his uncle tell it while the pain came, it was a gift and only the worthy were allowed to awaken it.

Kade lept back when the door to the white truck was kicked open, its driver climbing out, hopping on one foot as she leaned against it. "no i dont forget to watch my back, where i've been you do that, and you get a bullet in the back of it" the anger still front and center, and she was not helping it out, and then came the moron comment. his eyes narrowed as he glared at her, those Hazel eyes of his with the Chestnut color around the pupil looked down when she mentioned her ankle being bruised, he'd seen worse. "yea yea, Karma" this chick was annoying. he could see two more coming this way from the place, and with a look he saw it was some sort of B & B, though is attention was snapped back when the annoying one said his name, and he finally got a good look at her, at the same time she was looking at him, and he groaned. "Vanessa Heartstrong" his anger being tempered a bit, that he could slid it back behind the small amount of control he had over it. "i should have guessed it was you, your the only one in all of Red Lake that could run into me, just as i got back into town" nodding then. "we could try but Karma as you said might not let us stop meeting like this, and the bike time, that was completely your fault, you crashed into me" pointing that fact out, just as Sarah came up. "oh" nodding. "Yes Ma'am a long time indeed, and we didnt do anything" smirking a bit, looking at Vanessa. "she, would run into me.. my grandmother.." going quiet for a moment, remembering he would have any of her folksy wisdom anymore. "uh... when i complained as a kid, she told me Vanessa was just crushing on me, its why she kept running into me"

he leaned against the hood of the trunk now, watching Mrs. Sarah apply the cold compress to the swollen ankle, as Vanessa talked to Little Riley Stark. he remembered her, vaguely but he did remember her, underclassmen and all, plus small town, everyone knew everyone. he leaned there, listening and watching, thinking from what he heard that Vanessa had taken off to, probably not in the same way he had, but to go explore the world no doubt. when she made the comment about being a nice guy, he had been.. before, and the war and service hadnt changed him that bad, just.. after that Massacre with his friends, leaving him the only one alive.. he was more angry after that, prone to outbursts, even to superior officers, which is why he got the General Discharge. "about the yelling, before Vanessa that really wasnt about you" not really he added in his head. "i just came from from the lawyer's office, my grandmother died while i was overseas. i was pretty much a powder keg searching out a match after leaving that place" crossing his arms over his chest, breathing, breathing helped with the anger. when she asked Riley if she wanted to help her paint her own grandparents house. "if your looking for anymore help, i'll help you out.. seeing as i almost bit your head off for nearly turning me into a bug on the asphalt.. least i can do"
