Kaliska looked to Brandon "Thank you. we will go to the ball and see our room later" he says to Eric. he began to. walk with Kaliska in tow into the home following the sound of music.

they entered the ballroom. it was alive with music and couples dancing Brandon scanned the room. he was looking for threats and seeing the different creatures that gathered here.

Kali's senses were heightened. her lips turned into a wide smile as she looked around the ballroom. she looked at her brother "I'm thirsty" she says to hom

he nodded and walked them over to the bar. he got to glasses of blood wine. he handed her one as he sipped his.

Kaliska took the glass and took a few sips and saw a girl sitting and had a few empty chairs. she tapped her brother and pointed and walked over to the girl (elizabeth). "excuse me. but are these seats taken?" she asked her.

Brandon bowed in return. "Thank you for the invitation" he says to him. "i'm Brandon Crowe and this is my sister Kaliska" he says as he introduce his sister.

Kaliska snapped out of her daydream as she heard Brandon say her name. she lowered her eyes and curtsy to Eric. When she came up she let her icey blue eyes fall him and gave a sheepish smile. "hello" she says "and please call me Kali" she says to him.

Brandon looks at Kaliska sitting across from him in the carriage. his father wanted kaliska escorted to the ball and only trusted Brandon to do so. Brandon was fiercely protective of Kaliska. he could tell that she felt nervous. she kept playing with a piece of her dress. their father didn't let her go out much.

kaliska looked out the window of the carriage looking at the countryside as they headed to the ball. she felt a set of eyes on her "stop. staring at me Brandon" she says softly. "it's not making me feel better" she told him as she turned her head slightly to look at him in his eyes.

He held back a laugh but smiled "kali you will be fine don't worry i will be with you" he told her his smile widen.

she rolls her eyes "yeah until something pretty comes along to distract you brother" her lips curled up on one side devilishly.

he laughed " no i promised father to protect you tonight i won't stray to far from you" he told her. their carriage slows and comes to a stop. Brandon opens the door and gets out and offers his hand to kaliska. she takes it and exits the carriage. she fixes her dress trying to get rid of her nervous energy.

Brandon cleared his throat and Kaliska took his arm as they walked to the door. once they reached the line Kaliska looked around taking in her surrroundings.
