"this is more then you signed up for" she said and kissed his cheek. she takes his hand and walks upstairs. She could feel her brothers anxiousness. he sacrificed his happiness because of her.

her heart skipped a few beats at his words and she threw her arms around him in a hug. "thank you" she says in his ear.

Brandon looked up the stairs. He wanted to go talk to Elizabeth but it would have to wait. he looked at his sister. he was happy that James wouldnt give up on her.

she sighed as she looked at him when he stopped her. "where do we stand?" she asked him

Brandon was a few steps above her.

she watched him for a moment and looked down. maybe it was a bad idea. she sighed softly "nevermind" she said him. he never did come her after everything he was going to Elizabeth. "just forget about it" she said softly and walked past him up the stairs.

Brandon watched his sister but followed her walking past James not saying anything to him.

Brandon glared at James "your telling me something I already know" he says "i know there is more to her being upset with me, I know she loves me" he says "i also know i cant force her to tell me what else is bother her, if i do that she will not trust me and i will definitely lose her then" he says to him "so mind your own damn business" he told him. he could hear her crying and it broke his heart to hear that but he never let it show on his face.

He looks at his sister "if he still wants to court you i will give some privacy but i will be close enough to see and hear you" he told Kali. "now go talk to him see where he stands with the realtionship with you" he says

Kali took in a deep breath and nodded and made her way over to James at the stairs. "james wait" she says to him "can we...talk?" she asked him. Brandon wasnt far behind her.

He watched ELizabeth leave and he knew he probably just lost her. he closed his eyes for a moment before he walks over to his sister and took her hands. "I promised you when you were young i would protect you Kali with my life, and i will if it comes to that" he says "you need to more careful little sister with your decisions" he hugged her "your the only one of our siblings i like, i cant lose ya" he says

Kali nodded at Brandon "i know, im sorry" she says and hugged her brother back and looked at James. she did care for James a great deal. if she had to say goodbye to him to save him from her father she would.

when he got the confirmation needed from James he released him letting James hit the ground. he looked at Elizabeth "dont look at me like that its my job" he says to her "i wasn't going to kill him, im not the monster my father is but i she is my responsiblity" he said. he looked at James and Kali. "Father will not know about that incident at all" he says "his punishment will be far worse then what i did" he says

Kali just nodded in agreement. She knew that her father would lock her up and beat and torture her until she was within an inch of dying. She knew that he would kill james in front of her to show a point.

he looked at ELizabeth "i wont apologize for that scene or what i did" he says to her "i do aplogize that i will not be able to take you to town tomorrow like i had planned" he says "and that my time will be limited with you" he told her.

"your lucky its me here and not my father, i will at least show mercy, he will not" he says. he heard Elizabeth. "You James will no longer be alone with my sister" he says "you want to see her or spend time with her it will be with me present" he said through gritted teeth. "Do I make myself clear?" he says to him

Kali just stood there watching what was going on and hearing everything that her brother was saying. She looked at James and looked away. He wouldnt stay with her not after this. she wiped more tears. she knew one thing, her father would kill James if he found out about what happened or almost happened. She was sure he would punish her for it and Brandon wouldn't be able to help her.

Enchanted forest (all ready now!)

Keyrie rides up seeing the big rock in the near distance. "hey just ahead brother" she says to him and offers her arm to him to onto the horse with her . "it will be faster. you can be slow" she smiled at him

Keletyr rolled his eyes and took her arm as she pulled him up he swung his leg over the horse sitting behind his sister. "great, hold on" she kicked the horses side enough to make it go into a run. In about 15 mins they were there at the gathering. they have never been to one and didn't know what to really expect, but this wasnt it. It was like a market or fair.

Keletyr made a face "this is what we were sent to?" he says Keyrie nodded. "uh yeah i guess so" she says

kali looked behind her and dropped her plate of food. "Brandon dont!" she shouted at him she had tears in her eyes. she worried for James she didn't want him hurt. she starts her way over to them.

Brandon holding James by his shirt never taking his eyes from him. "stop Kali dont you dare come any closer" he hissed at her. "a gentleman wouldnt have undressed her to begin with James" he says "i trusted you with my sister, that was my mistake" he says to him "one i wont make again" he added with a growl. he knew what this met for him and Elizabeth, he would have little time for her now. that pained him to think about it.

Kali stopped and looked down wiping tears from her eyes that began to fall. her heart dropped to her stomach.
