ty pplz! @chukklehed I used Photoshop CS6. @Unfortunately I couldn't find any high-resolution brushes because they were all low-res. That was the largest one I could find (because my resolution, 2160x1440, really doesn't fit low-res brushes that well). Maybe I'll do something about it later, but for now, I need better brushes. Also, I'm having trouble applying special filter effects on the characters only. I currently have them displayed in separate layers, but every time I try to saturate their colors, I end up saturating the entire picture. Some input on this will actually help me improve a lot. o_o;

Select everything outside a character with magic wand. Inverse selection. Now only the character is selected. Only the character inside the selection will be saturated.
