I

Finally got my computer back.

Btw, @Unknown100 that door you had mentioned awhile back. What kind was it?

I was imagining Roller Shutters like this:

@KatKook If you want to, maybe your character could run through the back door also before we close it? Then she could be included fairly quickly.

The sheer number of rotten figures appearing took Jess’ breath away. Chilling fingers closed around her spine and fear gripped her heart. Somehow, she was both cold and sweating at the same time and for a moment her legs didn’t respond.
“Oh, god! Oh, god!” she panicked before calming herself and taking a look at the people at her side.
She followed Alex and Kiley towards the door in the back, when suddenly a smelling creature came from around the corner of a rack. Something vaguely resembling a human face sneered at her and grabbed her by the collar. Its weight and the utter surprise wrestled Jess to the ground.
It felt more like instinct than will, when she turned its grip and somehow got on top of it.
Her trainer always said her moves would come to her automatically and without her really thinking.
Her current opponent hardly cared when she broke its arm and shifted her weight and pinned its head into the floor. She signaled for Alex to continue with his sister, before firing six hooks into the back of the Walker’s head.
Only then did a realization hit Jess. She was facing an opponent that would never submit. Would never get knocked out. A monster that did not care about pain. Her approach and the elbows she sent into its skull mattered little.
She almost lost balance when the living corpse struggled, showing no signs of discomfort, and even more cadavers were closing in.
Shit, shit, shit!
Jess jumped up and did a low spinning sweep kick to a nearby threat with some of her last energy. The thing went down, but did not seem to mind that much, so she ran towards the back door, hoping that Alex had a way to lock it.

“There’s a bar around the corner, Mad’s bar. Fine place if you like your liquor without ice.”
Gwen waved him along. Their outfits were perhaps a bit too formal for a place like that and a few people followed the two of them, as they entered. Gwen and James sat down and only needed to yell their drinks for the bartender to get to work.
She didn’t really sip on her Rom and cola, more like poured it down and ordered another. The man in front of her actually didn’t look that bad. Especially after a few drinks. She looked at him for a while and a smile sneaked its way onto her face.
“You’re a peculiar man, James. In that suit you would fit right into a business meeting,” she said in a playful tone. “But why are you actually in Queens? Did you worry about me?”
Underneath the table and strange smell of strawberries, Gwen’s leg brushed against his.
“Or are you here on business?”
Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe the loss. Maybe something else made her say these things. At this point it didn’t matter.
The room was buzzing with activity, but all Gwen heard was the steady breathing of James.
Yeah, I'm waiting for a response.
I'll try. The reason I haven't responded yet is because my computer has been having issues this past week. It's in the repair shop so I'll be able to use it soon. I can try using my ps4 or phone to get something out quick to move things along if needed?

Well, it's your choice. But I sure wouldn't expect you to write an entire post on a phone ;)
So who will be the next to post? :)

Sighing Venom looked at Sliver. ”Ah, what the hell. I need the alcohol anyway. This alien tar is making my metabolism burn a lot faster than I would like it to. Don’t feel like becoming too sober right now.”

The two of them landed in a back alley where privacy was easier to come by.
At first Venom only managed to get the Symbiote to change her lower half. The red dress that had materialized only really had the skirt part. She tried again and noticed her parasite was being strangely quiet.
Maybe it too has grown fond of Sliver. Maybe if it has nothing bad to say, it thinks it shouldn’t say anything. Strange choice.
She managed to create a white blouse and black skirt. She remembered the image from a magazine. Perhaps a bit too stylish and expensive looking for her taste, but it would do.
New York was buzzing with activity outside the alley. It was at these times the city felt most alive. So many unworrying souls. So much work.
“So… the Hand, huh? With my luck it’s exactly them I’m now also up against.” She thought about it. “Question is: Did they help Osborn because they feel a grudge against all Symbiote user? Or did the bastard hire them because they already fought one Symbiote?”

“Osborn struck first,” Venom answered Sliver in a mixture of alcohol and cynicism. “He found a way to get to me, and he attacked a very dear friend of mine. Even if he hasn’t realized who’s behind the mask, he’s gonna come for Gwen Stacy like a hungry dog. When he does, I'll be ready for him”
She tightened her fist and almost fell down on the spot, she intended to sit at. New York did not have a lot of friendly corners anymore, or maybe Venom just couldn’t see them.
“Someone has helped Norman Osborn. Someone who can track the untraceable, I would say. Know anyone like that? … And why the hell haven’t you showed signs of life before now?

Venom sat on top of the Queens Plaza Park. Her vision blurred slightly after the long night of drinking and having mindless sex. Yet her breakfast had an alcohol percentage way over 30. She drank the bitter toxic and thought back to yesterday’s events.

-------------------------------------------------
It had felt so much like a normal day. Same songs playing over the radio, and Gwen had prepared herself for the normal joke about her top being too revealing, when she approached the lab.
She and doctor Conners were about to secure new funding. Finally, they were free from the clutches of Norman Osborn and his never-ending grudge, when they lost the Symbiote.
She had had her hand on the door handle, when the explosion sent her flying backwards. She had hit the pavement and instantly her senses were at 110%. All except her hearing. Only an unnerving high-pitch tone existed. Her heart pounded like an angry gorilla, and she jumped up without any fear of being exposed as Venom. Her black suit materialized right there on the street.
That’s when she heard it. A laughter. Though everything else was just a single tone, the laughter broke through. It was so quick, and for a second, she thought she saw a goblin-like creature on some kind of a board. Then it was gone.
No longer Gwen, but Venom, she had launched herself forward and into the burning building.
Flames and smoke made everything into an incomprehensible inferno where only hopelessness reigned.
“Curt!” she had yelled out in her slightly obscured Venom-voice.
Nothing.
She tackled a new door and proceeded deeper into the firestorm. Had her mouth not been covered and had she not been able to breath inside the suit, the very air itself would undoubtedly have been poisonous.
Suddenly she spotted a figure in the rubble. Next second she was by his side and lifted away some of the debris. One of the supporting beams, a massive thing, trapped his left arm.
Doctor Curtis Conners opened his eyes.
“It’s gonna be alright, sir,” Venom said and tried to imitate a superhero. With all her might she grabbed the beam and attempted to lift it off. The thing hardly moved. She tried again and even panting like crazy, she could not move the massive object.
“Gwen… Gwen let me see your face,” Curt said, surprisingly soft.
Her hearing was back. She hesitated and then drew back the liquid mask and let him see her. How he knew didn’t matter, only how he was doing.
“My dear Gwen, you… you have to cut it,” he told her.

For hours she had watched him in the hospital. For hours she had waited for the surgery to end. By the time she was finally told that he would be alright, she already knew that she would only find comfort in the bottom of a bottle.
-------------------------------------------------
Now only the thought of vengeance seemed to dull her pain.

It was Osborn. It must be. He realized the connection between my alter ego and the Symbiote that Curt and I lost. Perhaps he realized the purpose of my plan: That I was going to be the venom that would cripple Oscorp Industries. But how did he find out? And why now? He must have had help. Someone who had a beef with Venom. Perhaps Hydra. Perhaps someone else.
A dead man mounted the rooftop of Queens. At least the rumor said he was dead. The very same guy whom had fought at Venom side almost 2 years ago: Sliver. He seemed to have noticed her too.

Venom finished her bottle of breakfast, stood up and let the suit conceal her lips once again.
