Bio

I got into Roleplaying, er more specifically Post by Post Roleplaying around, I think it was four years ago? It feels much longer than that. My good friend whose now far too busy in college introduced me. He wanted by make a Mass Effect RP for his younger brother, or Cousin, something along those line. The games series was far to mature for someone of his age but he felt he could make a family friendly RP. And while that never panned out, I was hooked. Fast forward to the present day and I'm an avid RP and casual writer. I mainly prefer Fallout RPs, and am working on my own which will take place in the fictional Lore of Alaska. But it's far from ready. Between my laziness and my workload of various RPs and Videogames I am often rather busy. Yet I always find myself exceptionally bored. So I like contemplating Philosophical Conundrums.

Yes, that also applies to Tyche. While she does have an aspect that dispenses "Good Luck", luck goes almost as soon as it arrives. Nemesis, as Fallen has already mentioned, is sort of an equalizer. She makes sure people don't become too lucky, or people who don't deserve it.

Hehe. I'm remembering an Anime called Bimbogami ga. I think roughly translated it means, and I'm doing this by memory
Something like, stupid God of Misfortune.. Or.something. I could be totally off.

Basically the Main Character is stupidly Lucky. I mean gold falls out of the sky for her. And a Goddess of Misfortune comes to restore the balance.

Anyways I'll run things by you later Ded. But for now back to work.

Nope! The English version is Good Luck Girl. Which. I don't know. I'm stupid trying to remember translations. I should just Google Them.
@Dedonus Well Fortuna probably won't have a lot of direct contact. If I remember right Fortuna is fickle and I'm not sure if that applies to Tyche. Either way I'm fine were her being the same entity. It doesn't change a while lot. I'm kinda bummed that she falls under your jurisdiction of sorts. Since I wanted to avoid using the Greek Gods. But I can live with that.

All this talk about mythology based heroes and mine can't get in on it...

;-;

I'm sure Riley will have plenty of strange adventures some magical others unbelievable. It's all in who you Colab with.
@Dedonus I see. Is it because the Roman Gods weren't worshipped any longer? And would you be alright in me using Fortuna as my side character's Patron?
Personally if it's alright with Dedonus. Each Nation, Country Et Cetra should have it's own Gods. If they exist to some degree in our world. Unless said Gods were worshipped by other Nations, or were remarkably similar and within a certain range of territory.

I mean Rome and Greece are close enough that it's possible Greek Gods and Roman Gods were confused among the people as their own deities. Now whether those Gods would grant boons to either nation if they weren't worshipped properly is probably the key difference between the two Nations. If the Greek Gods were also considered Roman Gods then would they respond to Roman names?

And if not. Does that mean Roman Gods didn't exist?
<Snipped quote by VATROU>

No... She is the other side of the coin, the opposite and balancer of that.

Okay. I just read that wrong then. Still I hope Ded clears which Gods are which to whom regarding who worshipped them and if the Greek Gods have been Confused for Roman Gods before.
@VATROU Check out Slavic, Aztec, African, Aboriginal, and Chinese Gods.

Maybe. But I was looking for a God of Fortune. So I'll see which other Gods cover that aspect. Though hopefully Ded will chime in and clear things up. For all I know Greek and Roman Gods of this Universe are two separate entities. I mean it's possible that people just got these Gods mixed up, in an age of rampant illiteracy keeping track of Gods and their aspects might have been more connivance then it is today.

I'm sure those who worshipped in temples or holy sites would be actually know more about their own Gods. But for common folk fudging up the facts might have been all too common.
@Fallenreaper So Nemesis is also Fortuna? Hmm. I kinda wanted a God not within Greek Mythos. But I guess that only leaves Norse, Egyptian and Middle Eastern Gods. I could try a Japanese God. But Fortuna really worked for that character's background. I suppose there could just be clear divides between the Greek and Roman Gods of this Universe and the people confused the two. Far too often.
<Snipped quote by Fallenreaper>

That's fine. Although Racheli better beware, because Nemesis is the Greek Goddess of Retribution who punishes those who overstep their bounds (their hubris).

Being naughty. I see. Anyways I see Tantalus every once in a while. Gotta mind the sign to not feed him Hades is unforgiving if you take pity on those forever in torture. Also. The Roman Goddess Fortuna is the source of power for one of my side characters. Who I want to work in after this Arch is over. Maybe when I do something with fdeviant.
I might now have to rent out a place in Tartaros from Hades to keep you all in check...

There's a place in Tartaros I know, it's right next to my summer house.
