“..hey you… yeah, that’s right, I’m talking to you lot- the fresh meat all standing around with your eyes all full of things like hope and wonder. And, well, if you want some advice, I’ll give you this one free of charge… make sure to enjoy it while it lasts; because once your little honeymoon period comes to an end little greenies, you’ll soon realize that life in this pathetic camp isn’t what it seems… oh, and trust me, I’m pretty sure that I know this better than anyone else that you’ll meet in the camp. There’s only one reason you’re all here, it’s cause you’re different… cause you’re special- you’re not like the others out there in the world, and you never will be- and even though I would love for nothing more than to leave you all fending for yourselves; my unfortunate job here today is to let you know that you’re not alone in this… but just because you’re now surrounded by people who are like you, doesn’t mean that your life is going to be all sunshine and roses anymore; so cause I have no other choice but to play the part of your ‘happy little tour guide’, let me give you a heads up of the workings of this place.

So from this day forward, the camp is now your home; but whether it’s just for the summer or all year round is up to you and you alone, no one else can go about making that choice for you, and not every person that you meet is going to be welcoming... be cautious of who you cross, making alliances with other cabins can keep you from ending up under the care of the Apollo kids in the infirmary. But fair warning to you all; even those who seem the most innocent… can be some of the most dangerous of those around. I’m not gunna waste my time by showing you where everything is, and don’t think for a minute that I’m gunna stand around and answer any of your questions at the end of this little ‘chat’ of ours- so here are the basics… you have Half-Blood hill, the big house, the mess hall, the infirmary... there’s also the stables, the training grounds, the chariot course, the obstacle tower, the lake- but more important than them all are the cabins. If you know your Godly parent, that’s great for you… but if you don’t, you’ll be staying in cabin six with the Hermes children… Just a friendly little heads up about some of the cabins and those in them; the Ares kids are testy and have no issues picking fights with people who cross them, the Hephaestus kids are the ones to see if you have any issues with your gadgets and anything mechanical- and unless you’re looking to take a nap, steer clear of the Morpheus cabin… Oh, and just so you know- I’m the worst of them all… so go have some fun little greenies, and remember… stay outta my way.”

Camp Half-Blood ~ Information

Camp Half-blood is a Greek demigod training facility which is located on the Long Island Sound, New York, and is directed by the Greek God Dionysus (also known by campers as Mr. D), and Chiron, a centaur who along with the leaders of the camp co-ordinate activities for the demigods who choose to live within the camp; Camp Half-Blood is also the Greek counterpart of Camp Jupiter, a Roman camp located in San Francisco, California. The camp has magical borders, which are re-enforced by Thalia's tree, the Golden Fleece and the dragon Peleus; their magical powers helping to protect the camp and everyone in it from that which threatens to harm them- the camp is described by all who know about it as being the only true safe place for half-bloods to live in harmony and without the fear of their lives being in danger. The half-bloods living within the camp having comfortable accommodation in cabins, eating within the dining pavilion with their friends; demigods are free to spend their time however it is that they wish, even having a range of many different activities and area's in which they can enjoy, these including but not limited to: the training grounds, the climbing wall with lava, the amphitheater, the stables, the armory, the forge, and the Big House.

PLEASE NOTE: Though the camp is well known among the demigods and their parents, the humans throughout the world are completely unaware that such a camp even exists; the camps cover name and story being the 'Delphi Strawberry Service', a reference to the name of the Oracle of Delphi herself.

Camp Cabin - Information

Unlike the days past when the camp only ever offered sanctuary for the children of the great twelve Olympian's; the protection that the camp gives to demigods, thanks to an unbreakable promise made by the Gods themselves, is now offered to the children of those that wouldn't normally have such an opportunity- Camp Half-Blood itself now housing over twenty cabins, and with the number of demigods living within the camp increasing each and every day that passes by, the cabins seem to continue to be built as needed. Each cabin within the camp is two stories in height with most, if not all bedrooms situated up on the second floor of the building (depending on the cabin, each has a different layout), giving campers plenty of choice when it comes to living quarters; every camper, with the exception of those in the Hermes cabin, each get their own room which they are free to decorate in any way that they so wish.

Cabins are also equipped with shared bathrooms, a small kitchenette with basic appliances (fridge, microwave, stove, oven, sink, ect.), and a spacious communal living and dining area which demigods are expected to share with their half-brothers and half-sisters during their time in the camp. Campers are in charge of keeping their cabins, as well as anything else affiliated with their cabins clean during their time within the camp and ready for the weekly inspection which is to be performed by the cabin councilor voted forward that week by the small council and Mr. D; for example, the children of Hephaestus are expected to both clean and maintain both their cabin and the forges that they use during their stay within Camp Half-Blood.

The Cabins and Affiliated Gods/ Goddesses

Hera, Queen of the Gods ~ Cabin Two.

Demeter, Goddess of Agriculture ~ Cabin Four.
Dionysus, God of Wine ~ Cabin Five.
Hermes, Messenger of the Gods ~ Cabin Six.
Athena, Goddess of Wisdom ~ Cabin Seven.
Ares, God of War ~ Cabin Eight.
Hephaestus, God of the Forge ~ Cabin Nine.
Aphrodite, Goddess of Love ~ Cabin Ten.
Apollo, God of the Sun ~ Cabin Eleven.
Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt ~ Cabin Twelve.
Hades, King of the Underworld ~ Cabin Thirteen.
Persephone, Goddess of Spring ~ Cabin Fourteen.
Morpheus, God of Dreams ~ Cabin Fifteen.
Hecate, Goddess of Magic ~ Cabin Sixteen.
Iris, Goddess of the Rainbow ~ Cabin Seventeen.
Thanatos, God of Peaceful Death ~ Cabin Eighteen.
Tyche, Goddess of Luck ~ Cabin Nineteen.
Nemesis, Goddess of Justice ~ Cabin Twenty.
Eris, Goddess of Chaos ~ Cabin Twenty-One.

PLEASE NOTE: The Lady Hera and the Lady Persephone cabins only hold an honorary position within the camp out of courtesy to the two Goddesses; the Lady Hera being Queen of the Gods, and the Lady Persephone being Queen of the Underworld- both Goddesses having no demigod offspring of their own. The Lady Artemis' cabin is also honorary within the camp due to her being one of the maiden/virgin Goddesses, however the cabin does at times play host to the huntresses within her charge.

The Big House - Information

The Big House is home to not only the camps director, Mr. D (also known as Lord Dionysus), but also to the many staff that work within the camp itself (Chiron, ect.), and the great Oracle of Delphi whom can be found within the house's attic. It is also the main meeting place for the leader/s of each of the cabins; a safe place within the camp to discuss major problems, ideas, quests, and hold general council meetings without being interrupted by other campers- the Big House is also the one place you can always find the camps main staff, Dionysus and Chiron, as they are always willing to enjoy a game of pinochle on the front porch.

Camp Activities and Other Places of Interest

Camp Half-Blood has many different places of interest where demigods are free to roam and hang out, and various activities on offer for campers to join in on as they please. Some of these places around the camp include: Half-Blood hill and the surrounding forest, the mess hall, the infirmary, the stables, the training grounds, the amphitheater, the climbing wall, the lake, the camp armory and the camp forge, and Myrmeke Hill. Some of the activities on offer to the campers include: Capture the flag, the obstacle tower, the chariot course, and the trial of dreams.

Quests - Information

At Camp Half-Blood, a quest can only be issued to a camper if they have met with the Oracle of Delphi and have been given the honor of receiving a prophecy from her; a quest is one of the few times in which a camper will be given permission to leave the safety of the camp, though there are other instances when such things are made possible to demigods. The demigod which receives the prophecy is normally automatically considered to be leader of the quest, and while this person is allowed to pick two companions to accompany them on their journey, it is not unheard of for that person to pick more, less, or even none at all depending on their personal preference- in some cases, the companions themselves are picked out, or suggested to the person during a meeting with the camp leaders to discus the quest in question. While a quest is something that all demigods strive to be able to be apart of, there are times when a camper will go mad after receiving a prophecy from the Oracle; however it is unknown about what happens to the quest itself if such a thing occurs.

Characters - Information

Characters must be OC, we shall not be accepting any cannon characters in this roleplay. Characters are not strictly limited to demigods, this roleplay will also be accepting characters who are Satyrs, Amazons' and Cyclops'; and while each character is not bound to one continent for the their place of origin, it is a must that they be affiliated with the Greek Gods of Olympus and the Underworld. While both Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter are brother camps with one another, and both have affiliations with the Gods and Goddesses; it is a very rare occurrence for a demigod to transfer from one camp to the other, though it isn't unheard of.

When it comes to making children of the big three (Zeus, Poseidon and Hades), there is a limit of two children at a time for each of them; this limit is inclusive for demigods of both camps- so for example if you have one child of Hades from Camp Half-Blood, and then one child of Pluto from Camp Jupiter who has decided to transfer to the other camp, the limit will have been reached. Those of you wishing to play Gods and Goddesses, must demonstrate a strong writing ability (good grammar, punctuation, ect.), a completed character sheet for the God/ Goddess you are applying for (the character sheets for the Gods differ slightly from that of the demigods; please message me for a blank outline), and a sample post of that particular character which will be considered by both myself and my Co-GM; if the character is accepted, then you shall be notified as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are the writer behind any of the Gods and Goddesses, please understand that by accepting the responsibility of such an important character, you reserve the right to have said character removed from your care should there be any discrepancies arise during the roleplay. Also note that all characters must be accepted by myself and my Co-GM before you post within the IC.
Hey guys; after consideration, and some discussion with some of those in the roleplay, we realized that the roleplay seemed to have derailed and gone off on a side-track that's been pretty hard to come back from. So what I've done is a reboot. The link to the reboot will be listed down underneath all of this. I figure, that what we need is for things to move a little more quickly when it comes to the quests; while partying is a great thing for the campers to do, it's probably best that one doesn't happen right from the get go, heh... that one was my bad, and I appologize for it. However: reboot of the roleplay, reboot of the fun and enthusiasm..! Haha..!

Okay, so all of those who are in this roleplay, have been brought across... all characters that have already been made, or got the okay from me, are automatically accepted unless you wish it otherwise. So, please let me know..! Anyway, go a head and pop up entrances for your characters (I don't mind whether or not you use the same one; though from what I've observed so far, people are switching it up). Quests (there are two of them) will be coming up real soon also... like on the first day..! So things should be fun from the get go..!

The Big House & Half-Blood Hill ~ Camp Half-Blood

The sound of the wooden floors cracking apart beneath her feet filled the office of the camps director as her patience began to wear thin, and her frustration about the whole situation began to show in the expression upon her face; disgust… pure unadulterated disgust. The camp was filled with plenty of other demigods who would both volunteer, and do a much better job than she would; so why she was picked for it in the first place was far beyond her comprehension. What it came down to was the fact that the camp director, Lord Dionysus, had it in for her; even after she chose to put up with that psychotic daughter of his- Arianna was a raving moron with mental issues, everyone knew it, but she was the only one who was brave enough to speak the truth, “You have got to be kidding me! I’m the daughter of the Underworld, not some bloody glorified babysitter that you can just go and dump all the fresh meat on whenever you don’t feel like doing your damn job, Mr. D.”

“Actually, I can Eirene; you see, as much as I hate being here looking after you lazy lot, this is my camp… and I’m the one who makes the rules! You’re on tour duty; so hop to it, or whatever it is that you kids do these days…”

“Oh for Zeus’ sake..! My name is not Eirene and you know it..! I’m like completely on the other side of the family to that snow freak..!” He didn’t even seem to flinch at all the moment that both of her fists slammed down upon the desk in front of him- it was clear that she was losing her patience with him and his stupid games… she had lived in the camp for Gods knew how long; and each time, without fail, he had gotten her name wrong- choosing instead to call her by the name of one of his many sisters who lived up upon Mount Olympus with most of the other Gods, “No more after this; it’s the last time I’m doing this, you got that..? I didn’t come to this stupid camp so that I could show all the damn freshmen around like some tour guide. Next time, get your psycho daughter to do it.”

“You’re really beginning to test my patience; watch your tongue, unless you want me to turn you into a pathetic little minno-…”

“Empty threats again, Mr. D..? You should really take a page out of my father’s book- if you’re going to threaten them… make sure you can back it up.” Not bothering to even give him the chance to go and respond to what it was that she had said, she turned on her heel, her long and wavy dark brown locks bouncing lightly upon her back with each and every single step as she made her way out of the office, and in turn out of the big house and into the fresh air of the camp- she didn’t care about what the great Lord Dionysus had to say; he could sit there and insult her for days, but it was never going to change a thing. The relationship between the two of them had never been a great one; the both of them arguing almost every single time that they came face-to-face, it was just a normal routine, and everyone in the camp knew it too.

“..Erin..? How did it go..? Is he going to let us swap so you don’t have to worry about greeting all the new campers..?”

The sound of a soft and sweet voice hit the brunette’s ears, causing her to turn her head so that she was able to look over the girl who had spoken to her- the girl herself sitting patiently on the edge of the porch where Erin had left her when she had first entered the big house what felt like ages ago. It was typical behavior of the girl… she was too nice to just get up and leave to do what she wanted to do, and then with the smile lighting up the girls features, Erin couldn’t even tell whether or not she actually enjoyed sitting there waiting for her return, “You sat there this whole time..? Seriously Syleste, you’re too nice for your own good; grow some backbone will ya…”

Rolling her dark eyes though unable to keep the small smile that flickered across her face, Erin sighed softly before making her way down the steps and over to where Syleste was sitting, her head tilting ever so slightly and her hands slipping down into the back pockets of her black denim shorts as she looked over the girl in front of her for a few moments before finally answering her questions, “The answer is no. The drunkard refuses to let me swap with you; so I’m stuck as the bloody welcoming committee for all the little greenies…”

“Well, what if I came with you to welcome them to the camp..?” Lifting herself up from where she had been perching upon the porch, Syleste smiled brightly in the direction that she could hear her friends voice coming from; her beautiful sky-blue though ever unseeing eyes staring in her general direction as she slipped her hand into the back pocket of her light pink denim shorts, the girl pulling a light blue bit of material out of it before bringing her hands together in front of her body, her fingers lightly playing with it, “At least this way you won’t be alone, and I will be able to help you out with all the new campers- it would mean less work for you, and as a bonus, I get to spend time with my friend in the process. Please… please can I help you Erin..?”

“If you really want to tag along and greet the new freaks, I’m not gunna to stop you Syl; especially if it means you doing my job for me.” Shoving her hands deeper down into her pockets as she shrugged her shoulders lightly in response, Erin slowly began to make her wander away from the big house and through the camp, keeping in mind to drag her feet over the ground to make noise for the girl to hear as she led the way towards where she was supposed to meet the new campers: half-blood hill. It was the only way to get both in and out of the camp… unless you wanted to get wet by taking the ocean route that was, and even then not many people were stupid enough to go that way- okay, maybe the fish-brains in cabin three were stupid enough to take that path…

Seeming to light up the very moment that her friend had given her permission to help out with the new campers, Syleste hurried to catch up to where she could hear Erin’s footfalls, her own bare feet brushing lightly over the top of the grass causing a gentle tickle against their souls with every step that she took to keep up; her free hand coming up to softly brush some of her long wavy bubblegum pink locks back off of her face, neatly tucking them back behind her ear as her expression turned to one that was seemingly more thoughtful- her unseeing eyes staring off into the distance making her seem as though she were in her own little world, when in reality she was thinking about what was waiting for them at the entrance to the camp, “I wonder what type of campers we’ll get today… Oh! I hope I get a sibling! Wouldn’t that be so much fun..! I really hate being on my own in that cabin…”

Unable to help the scoff that slipped through her lips at the girls words, Erin shook her head lightly from side to side before she closed the gap between the both of them, her arm brushing softly up against her friends out of habit; a sign that they were there and that they were going to be stopping in a few moments, “I’ll pass on the whole siblings thing… I happen to enjoy being alone and having a whole cabin to myself; means no one is there to mess around with your things. But if you really hate being on your own, go move in with the hot head; I’m sure Ky’ vie would just love having someone else to look after when she’s actually here…”

“Oh… that could actually be a lot of fun..! We all have to have a sleepover soon..!” Seeming to miss the point the brunette was trying to make completely, Syleste quickly came to a stop by the hill, her head stooping ever so slightly as she lifted the material, wrapping it delicately around her head and being sure to secure it firmly so that her eyes were now completely obscured from vision- it wasn’t as though she particularly liked hiding herself from people… but then she also knew that not everyone she met was going to be as comfortable about her disability as she or those she had known for years were. It was something that could be unnerving… that could make people feel uncomfortable… and that was the very last thing she wanted to do; make people uncomfortable on their first day- that was what Erin was for.

“You care too much about what people think. Take off that stupid blindfold; if people can’t handle your eyes, then they aren’t worth a bit of your time…” Turning her head away from where Syleste stood happily bouncing up and down on the spot while waiting for the campers in question to show up, Erin let her sentence trail off into nothing, her dark eyes falling upon a familiar figure standing not too far away from where they were situated- if he was here waiting, it could only mean one thing…

“Let me guess… she’s coming home today, isn't she? And like the little puppy that you are, you’re waiting for mistress to return and give you a treat- such a faithful little fly-boy you are, Grif.”

Olympus ~ New York

Throne Room of Mount Olympus...

New York, the City that Never Sleeps. And of all the buildings that the gods had decided to claim their home, the largest most obvious skyscraper was the ideal choice.

One figure among dozens of others stepped through the front doors, stopping just inside the entrance to adjust his tie and lapels.

The man seemed ordinary enough to the normal passerby; he was tall and well-built with a broad physique. Though appearing to be at least in his early-forties, the man still held an attractive air to him, with a strong jaw and styled up chestnut brown hair.

Garbed in a gray pinstripe suit, the man looked as though he was ready to attend a business meeting of some kind. Stepping into a vacant elevator, the man waited for no one as he immediately pushed the 'Close Doors' button, waiting for the sliding steel doors to shut before doing anything else. As the doors closed in front of him, the elevator grew totally silent aside from an instrumental version of Call Me Maybe playing in the background, causing the man's lips to twitch most irately.

Reaching towards the button panel, the man's hand slid across its length before stopping at a distinct button that sat separate from the others. Pressing it with his pointer finger, the elevator lurched suddenly, as though being yanked by a force much stronger than it. It shot up at an intense speed, the only indication of whatever was going on outside being the blindingly bright sliver of light that beamed through the slit between the two doors.

Finally after an intense ascent, the elevator practically slammed to a stop in a stomach-turning lurch, causing the man to briefly lose his balance before quickly recovering.

"Keep telling them to fix that damn thing." He mumbled to himself, briefly fixing his hair before the elevator doors slid open with a resounding ding, revealing Mount Olympus to him in all its glory. A thin stone bridge, wide enough for two people to walk side-by-side lit with eternal-burning torches led the way to Olympus itself, a massive palace, tall and daunting in the stormy dark sky. Tendrils of lightning emanated from its roof, scattering through the clouds and illuminating the entire area in an electric blue glow.

The man was undaunted, clearing his throat before walking down the path, his steps casual yet dignified as well. But the man could tell something was amiss -- and he knew that for whatever reason he was summoned...it wasn't a good one.

Ares sat indolently upon his throne, one leg thrown over an arm while laying against the other. The god of war glowed a sooty red, rage bubbling underneath the surface as he held an upset Aprodite's hand. He stroke the back of it, one of the few loving gestures he might show to another being. He seemed almost haughty as he looked at his father, Zeus. How could the king of gods be such a pussy? Didn't he realize that Hermes' children should just be wiped off the face of the world, they were more trouble than they were worth!

"Father... we need to address this issue, we all know Hermes' oldest child is to blame! I say we make an example and flay him in front of his brothers and sisters." Ares grinned broadly, taking a perverse pleasure of the idea of inflicting so much suffering. "I could use his hide as my new bike seat and he could finally be of use." His eyebrow cocked, as if challenging the idea that a demigod was worth more than the flesh and bones they were made of. "What do you say? I could be there and back, find my love's dove, all before that insufferable Hermes actually arrived. Who was late to their own summons?" The nerve of the god of messengers set Ares to grinding his teeth.

“Enough, my son. We sit here to discuss what is to be done about this matter- do not allow the anger you feel towards your brother cloud your judgement.” Bringing his hand up from where it had been resting against the arm of his throne, Zeus lightly rubbed at his temple, trying his best to relieve some of the stress that had accumulated since the matter had first been brought to his attention. His son was angered far beyond anything he had seen in many millennium… his beautiful daughter was curled up upon her love's lap, tragically distraught and crying at having her beloved pet dove stolen from her domain… his ever loyal wife sat dutifully by his side as the voice of reason among those which were occupying the room… and his other son, Hermes, was running late for his own summoning- things it seemed could not get any worse at this point in time…

“We shall await Hermes arrival; then we shall seek out the course of action to be taken. Though do not think that this matter shall be taken lightly- it is a serious crime, I agree that as such, the punishment of which should also indeed be severe…” Lowering his arm back down so that it was once more resting upon the arm of his throne, Zeus turned his head so that he was able to meet with his son's gaze, his grey eyes narrowing and his lips pursing together as he let the gravity of the situation once more fall down upon his shoulders, “..but until such time, I believe the best place for you is by your love's side, do you not agree..?”

Keeping a quiet eye near her husband's seat, Hera watched her children carefully. Her husband's voice rang true in her ears and she turned to Ares to see if he had heard what he had meant. She reached up a careful hand and stroked over the back of Zeus's, watching her son carefully as he sat protectively over Aphrodite. "Zeus is right, dear child," Hera's calm voice rang out over the area. "You must be patient and wait for your brother to arrive before you decide the fate of his children."

She carefully crossed her legs and rested her palms on the edge of her knees. All in all, she was nervous, as she knew that Ares could be rash and jump to conclusions. She would not believe that Hermes' eldest would have stolen the dove until there was absolute proof of it. Yet she would not reveal this to the group that approached, as a fight would more likely break out against her with her son at the lead. She leaned back in her chair, her careful eyes scanning over the room. The air was thick with tension, between father and son as well as the anger of the son pierced through the air. The two children who sat in that chair sought vengeance against the culprit, and the anger and distraught was taken into the air. She rested her hand on Zeus' once more and waited, falling silent.

"You could say that father. Or you could say that me and taking care of the perpetrator of this crime would be the BEST use of my abilities. After all, my love wouldn't be upset if not for the thief!" Ares roared, slamming a fist upon the arm of the chair he lazed against. Even with such relaxed posture, any of the gods could tell he was close to bursting. One could almost pity the demigod that faced Ares' wrath. His hand relaxed and resumed its comforting gesture against his wife's hand.

"Action is what we need, not petty talks! I should be out there, finding the fucking whelp!" the god of war snarled the last, eyes glowing red now. The children of Ares should feel that rage through their divine connection to their father, so great the turmoil in the god. He breathed out a sigh of frustration, settling into the back of his chair once more. He'd heed his father's words... for now. "But as you wish, father, mother. We'll wait for Hermes to lie to our faces and say, once again, it could never be HIS child that could enact such a crime--"

"Sorry for being late, folks." A fourth voice cut into the conversation straight in the middle of Ares' rant as the man in the gray suit -- Hermes appeared in the throne room of the gods, both hands planted firmly in his trouser pockets.

"I had lunch at the most amazing sandwich shop, seriously, best cheese-steaks you could ever ask for." Hardly skipping a beat, Hermes sauntered forth into the room, eyeing each of the gods on their thrones, paying special mind to Ares and Aphrodite.

"Did you want a Snicker's, Ares? You don't seem to be you when you're hungry." Grinning in amusement at his own quip, Hermes' demeanor quickly turned somewhat more serious as his attention turned to the largest throne that belonged to Zeus.

"What did Griffin do this time, Dad? Put another stink bomb in Dionysus' room? Though...I gotta admit, that one was pretty funny..." Trailing off, Hermes appeared to become lost in his own train of thought, though his clear gaze never left his father's.

“..how dare you… how dare you defend such an ungrateful little thief..!” Not sure when exactly she had sat up upon her love’s lap, Aphrodite stared over at her brother with tear-stained eyes, her light blue orbs flicking back and forth as she searched his own for reason as to why he was playing such a serious situation off as light… answers as to why he was joking around when it was clear to everyone that it was no time for such petty games.

“You know what he did, and yet you stand there as though it is nothing more than a joke for your own amusement..! He-… He-…” Seemingly unable to go any further in her explanation as the words caught within her throat, Aphrodite shook her head, her long blonde locks flying back and forth before eventually they once again settled against her back, her body turning until she was able to hide herself against the warmth and safety of Ares chest, her body pressing ever closer against his as she once more began to sob into him.

"This is no joking matter, you insufferable buffoon!" Ares roared, hand cradled against Aprhodite's hair, trying to console her as best he could. His eyes burned with undisguised accusation while staring at his mercurial brother. How the man could stand there, keeping them waiting, even as he tried to deflect his son's obvious guilt! He itched for his sword or shotgun respectively, just to teach his brother a much needed lesson. Yet... Zeus would never forgive such an act of aggression.

"This is no child's act of mischievous fun, this is as serious as when your other disgrace, Luke, tried to topple Olympus! Where is my love's dove? OUT WITH IT!" Ares made the throne room vibrate as his rage bubbled into his voice, a sonorous tone that no mortal would've been able to withstand, but which the Gods would find no more than an annoyance. He couldn't help his anger, however, Aphrodite still weeping uncontrollably upon his chest. That alone was enough reason to start a war, for the god. If Hermes couldn't see that... he'd suffer the consequences. "Perhaps you would sing a different note with your staff, surrounded by snakes, shoved up your lying ass!" Ares' throat bulged with his roar.

Hermes initially remained silent, staring his brother in the face with a blank expression. "Do you have proof that Griffin stole your...precious bird?" He finally said, his tone remaining even, though one could detect thinly-veiled anger beneath it.

Breaking his brother's gaze, Hermes looked down at his watch and sighed. "You know, I was gonna go see a movie right about now..."

"Missing the show time is the least of your worries. How long your son will live is the greatest." Ares growled, allowing himself to rise to the bait. Hermes was not helping his son's case in inciting the war god's ire. He'd just as soon disobey Zeus's orders and kill the boy outright, but none knew the location of Aphrodite's divine symbol.

"The proof is your own proclivities, god of thieves and how easily your offspring seem to follow said nature... Speak to your son and find out the truth, make him find the dove. Or I shall do it for you!" the threat was there, laid out like a naked sword. Ares didn't heed subtly like Hermes, had no need of it as conflict was his nectar, battle his aphrodisiac.

Letting out a short laugh that held no true mirth to it, Hermes stared directly at Ares once again, his deep blue eyes now cold and dangerous.

"You're losing your touch, brother, if your only evidence of my son committing this crime being one of my titles." As Hermes spoke, his tone gradually became angrier, losing all the warmth and friendliness it defused moments earlier.

"But hear me, and hear me well. If you lay a single finger on him, I will make you regret it." Hermes swore, letting his words fall as he grew silent.

Ares stood quickly, depositing his wife in her throne in the same motion, hand going to the hilt of his sword as his mouth opened in a scream. "You mangy piece of filth, I'll gut you like a fucking-"

“Enough; the both of you..!” Zeus’ booming voice sounded clear and strong throughout the room causing loud claps of thunder to be heard along with it- he had heard enough of their childish bickering. They were supposed to be family; and it was high time that this matter was put to a rest before it went any further than it already had, ending in blood being spilled upon the floors of his glorious Kingdom. Reaching over his body, Zeus lightly patted the top of his wife’s hand a couple of times, his body hunching over so that he could sweetly kiss at her delicate knuckles before eventually, he lifted himself up from where he had been sat upon his throne; his attention turning over to his two sons as they stood before one another, seemingly ready to wage war at but a moment’s notice.

“The boy in question must answer for the crimes in which he has been accused of; stealing the sacred symbol of a Goddess is something that cannot be forgiven lightly. Though you have my sympathy, my son, I cannot allow such a thing to go unpunished.” Slowly stepping away from his throne, Zeus made his way over to where the both of them stood, making sure that he had their full attention before he continued on with his decision, “Ares speaks with wisdom; if the boy has nothing to hide, then allow him to prove his innocence to the court. He shall have a single lunar cycle to return the dove to the Goddess Aphrodite; shall he not succeed, then the boys fate shall be left to the mercy of your brother.”

Turning to his father with an expression of genuine shock. "Dad, there's no proof! You can't...condemn my son when there's no evidence..." Trailing off once again, Hermes eventually grew silent, knowing that nothing he said could change his father's mind.

He'd lost too many children already, one who's death still pained him. He could not lose another. Not like this.

Ares' demeanor had significantly calmed, hearing the good news from Zeus. He let his sword fall back into its sheathe, having been drawn halfway. He straightened from his charging posture, crossing his arms and grinning smugly. Finally, someone was being forced to take action! Optimally, he wished to do the deed himself and make Hermes' child piss in his little demigod pants. But he'd settle for Hermes having to suffer the indignity of telling his child that his legacy had made him guilty. That his father was to blame for his suffering. His grin widened gleefully as he thought of the hate that would foster between the two. Let this one meet the same fate as the last, Ares thought.

"Poseidon said the same, dear brother... And Percy proved his innocence. If your son has done nothing wrong, what could he possibly have to worry about?" Ares posed to Hermes, with an arrogant satisfaction gleaming in his eyes. Not bothering to wait for an answer, he gathered Aphrodite, taking her hand and pulling her to her feet. He held her close as he dipped his head to his father. "Thank you for your wise decision, Lord Zeus. We'll take our leave now. It's been a taxing day for Aphrodite." He dipped his head once more in farewell to Hera and walked past Hermes as if he wasn't there, unworthy of even acknowledgement. Let that be a thorn in his ass. They walked proudly out of the throne room, all too pleased at how events unfolded.

Bowing his head in farewell to his son and his daughter both as they left the room, Zeus waited until the doors had shut behind their figures before he turned his attention over to Hermes- his son’s expression saying it all… he was mortified; terrified of losing yet another son... the very sight of his son’s pain caused his heart to tighten within his chest, but there was no way that he could go back upon his decision. He had given the boy seven days to prove his innocence to the court- longer than he had given his nephew after he himself had accused him of stealing his master bolt.

Taking those couple of steps to close the gap that was between the both of them, Zeus lifted his hand up until he was able to rest it upon his son’s shoulder, his hand squeezing it gently in an attempt at comforting him, even if just a small amount, “My son… the pain you feel is but temporary. Have faith in your boy; just as Poseidon had faith within his own, and I know that he will rise to the occasion and do you proud. I shall not interfere in the workings of the camp, nor will I have Dionysus approach your boy with such grave news; go to him when your mind has had the time to settle upon this situation… I feel that it is best he hear such things from you and you alone.”

Hermes remained wordless at first, still attempting to process what had just occurred in his mind. He felt his father's firm hand on his shoulder, but did not react, a feeling of total numbness running through his body.

Nodding once, slowly, Hermes turned to leave Olympus, clearing his throat in an obvious attempt to hide its shakiness. "I best go. Don't want to miss that movie." He said, attempting to defuse his own feelings with an admittedly poor attempt at humor. That being said, the god of messengers left without another word.

~Personal Information~

Personality: Calvin is a man with a strong sense of integrity, and despite his basic instinctive nature, he always tries to help other people. Creative and dedicated, he has a talent for helping others with original solutions to help with others personal challenges. In this aspect he falls short in helping himself most of the time. Calvin has a unique instinct to often know how someone else is feeling before that person knows it himself. He is that friend that will always know when something is wrong and try his best to help you through it. He has a deep trust in his instincts and follows his gut in most situations. Although he is a sensitive soul that initially tries to avoid contact with others, once the attachment is made he becomes a whole different person.
Calvin is not a leader in any way, more suited to be a worker bee, he often appears to be quiet, caring and sensitive, and may be found listening attentively to someone else’s ideas or concerns. He is highly perceptive about people and wants to help others achieve understanding. Calvin is not afraid of complex personal problems (except his own. He is caries a deep feel for most things that he cares about. Because Calvin initially appears so gentle and reserved, he surprises others with his intensity when one of his values is threatened or called into question (or one of his friends). His calm exterior belies the complexity of his inner worlds.
Because Calvin seems so difficult to others, he is reluctant to engage with others who might not, or try not, to understand or appreciate what he has to offer, and can thus be hard to get to know. Although he wants to get along with others and support them in their goals, he can be quiet defensive about his own values if they are threatened and will not follow others down a path that does not feel authentic to him. When Calvin is betrayed he does not give second chances, the betrayer becomes scum of the earth, the same applies for those who betray his allies and friends.

Skills: Calvin’s father being the being the god of peaceful death grants him a killer instinct. He is a lover not a fighter by nature, but when he does fight he has a chance to tap into hidden knowledge deep within his mind that makes him a highly trained killer. Due to Thanatos, most of his knowledge is focused around swift and precise deaths.
Calvin is also good at displacing the reality of the situation and bringing issues to a close. His understanding of other people and his natural helpful nature makes him a great negotiator (or instigator if the situation calls for it).
Biography:
Calvin grew up in the border city of Las Cruces. His mother was a devoted Christian and how she met his father is still a mystery to this day. His childhood was filled with crosses and biblical tales, and whenever his father was brought up it was like talking about the devil himself. Calvin spent most of his youth trying to be everything his mother wanted in a child, but never quiet making it. One day he came home and his mother had all his bags packed and told him he would go to stay at a camp for people like him. At first Calvin did not understand, it was not until he reached Camp-Half Blood that he understood what she meant. The new world he was exposed to changed him forever.
While at camp he lived a blissful experience, making friends, having fun and learning about who he really was. He truly did start to build his identity while at camp. Two years after being dropped off at camp his mother requested he return home for Christmas. Even after all that time she was still the same and only got worse, especially after Calvin knew the truth of what he and his father where. She constantly accused him of living in sin and harassed him about need to repent. The holiday season was not shaping out to be a good one. But Calvin knew why she called him home, his mother was lonely and he was her closest family despite their differences. So ever since he returns home for Christmas and deals with his mother, just to make sure she would not be lonely. He stills lives at camp for the rest of the year, he has never met his father, but he hopes one day he will.
~Demigod Information~

Demigod Abilities:
Necromancy: Calvin has a knack for summoning skeletons to do what he wants. He can only summon one or two at a time, simply because he can’t keep focus for any more than that. The skeletons are the ones of full grown men and have a red glow. Calvin tries not to use this power though, simply because it makes his father very displeased with him and usually brings great misfortune to Calvin soon after.
Invisibility: Like his father, Calvin can turn invisible for a short amount of time. If he is hit or disrupted he will become visible again. His invisibility does not cover any sounds made and does cover any scents he has.
~Weaponry Information~

Weapon/s: Calvin’s sword was a gift from his father, and the throwing knives are something he picked up from camp. He is good with both but prefers the long range knives.
Weapon/s Name: μελας κρατος (Black Power), πανθηρ (Panthers)
Weapon/s Type: Greek Xiphos, Throwing Knives
Attributes: μελας κρατος is a stygian blade that can prolong Calvin’s invisibility in combat. He does get tried faster when the ability is in used.

Other: Calvin has an obsession with red pandas.

~Personal Information~

Personality: Lang is a rather gentle person, while he is massive, built like an oak tree he has a gentle hand and a way with animals. He is incredibly dexterous and finds passion in doing playing music successfully by ear (without any sheet music). Lang’s greatest strength, as far as his personality goes is his willingness to let things continue on their own path. He’s not the type of person to attempt to change someone if he doesn’t like where they are headed. Instead, he offers his help attempting to provide them with any guidance he can offer. His greatest weakness, however, is his temper. Though it does not rear it’s old head too often, he has been known to take things too far when he or someone he has come to care for is threatened. After all, he wouldn’t have even left Cape Town was it not for one indignant tourist who had though he had been ripped off. After that, Lang had no choice but to seek shelter in Camp-Half Blood. He also tends to give people nicknames, it makes it easier for him to remember names. Though it is somewhat offensive, Lang has always found the naming in North American to be incredibly confusing and pointless. One of his quirks would be that he sometimes has a very difficult time turning down adventure, he also feels weaker in general at night time.

Skills:
• Shapeshifting: Lang's mother taught Lang the ability to shapeshift into the form of an animal. However, as Lang is not a son of Hecate, he has to use an alternative method of perfomring this skill. As a son of Apollo he has the ability of Biokinesis and is able to manipulate biology. He uses this ability in conjunction with the magic his mother taught him in order to change his form into an animal. However, this comes with limitations. Lang can only take the form of an animal he has observed over a large period of time, currently limiting him to animals indigenous to South Africa. The better Lang knows the animal in question the stronger his form is. Thusly his five strongest forms are the big five, the lion, elephant, cougar, rhinoceros and buffalo. He is also very good at shifting into a fennec fox, but that is just adorable, not deadly.

• Archery: As a son of Apollo, Lang is incredibly gifted in archery. He is able to hit a moving target upwards of one hundred feet away with relative ease. He is also currently training himself in a close quarters combat that utilizes a bow and an arrow as a weapon, it's coming along rather well.

• Virtuoso: Lang is an artist when it comes to the piano and the violin, able to pick up new songs upon hearing them, even innately possessing the ability to follow along with a song he has never heard. He can bring even the coldest of people to tears with his melodies.

• Biokinesis: Lang isn't too powerful in this regard, however he has learned to use it in a way that allows him to shift into animals as stated above.

• Photokinesis: As a son of Apollo, Lang can control light to a degree, making himself blindingly radiant or nearly invisible. While he finds it more difficult to control light from sources that are electric, he still has a finite amount of control with it. Lang can also utilize the sun's rays as a deadly attack blinding someone before sticking them with an arrow or four.

Biography:
Living in Cape Town for most of his life, Lang found himself surrounded by a host of adventure. Growing up, he never really knew his father but his mother taught him of a world he would never have believed existed. He grew up learning how to speak Grecian and English instead of Afrikaans like most of his friends. He was taught how to shoot a bow and arrow, a skill he found himself as a natural in. He was classically trained to play the violin and the piano as well. All day every day, he worked day in and day out to progress his own physical build and his mental preparation, but he just didn’t know what for. As soon as he turned 16 years old, Lang started working as a tour guide for the Savannah. It was around this time that he caught his Fennec Fox, Zuko. It was just a little baby at the time, but he has cherished him as a friend and companion ever since, taking care of it like he was his little brother.

But being a tour guide wasn't Lang's entire life. His father made a visit once every two months in order to help Lang with studying music. It was odd, most people wouldn't have been able to make any noticeable progress when working only once a month on something as complex as learning how to play an instrument. However, every lesson he had with his father he learned decades worth of music, techniques, and styles. By his third piano lesson Lang was able to play a song he knew without even looking at the keys. By his fourth, he could read a song as if it was in front of him just by hearing it. It was a nice party trick, not that he really had time for parties.

Lang finally learned who his father was on his fifteenth birthday. It's odd being told you're the child of a god. You have to determine what your skills are and what was handed to you. Lang decided that music while being something he loved, wasn't something he earned. However, he and his mother began working on things that he could do, both because he was the son of Apollo and because he worked hard at what he did. One of these examples was Lang's form of biokinesis which took the form of shapeshifting into animals. While he attempted to use animals that he had only seen through picture or mythological beasts he found himself overly tired and weak in those forms. It was only when he took the form of an animal he had come to know well, like a lion that he was able to utilize the form as a tool and a weapon. While he was somewhat able to harness the ability of photokinesis as well, it was extremely difficult until just recently to even shine light in someone's eyes. Lang was told that it was a very rare ability he possessed by his father, but he knew that he could go stronger yet. Through more hard work. But while he was tied down to a job as a tour guide, he couldn't commit to these training's.

Lang grew to become quite popular with tourists as he seemed to perpetuate a sort of mythology about South Africa. He was large, built like a tank and carried a bow and a quiver full of arrow with hi while the tour took place. He knew all the animals that they’d typically see on a drive. Typically with tourists to make your best living, you had to show them the ‘big five’: The African Elephant, the Lion, the Cougar, the Rhinoceros and the Cape Buffalo. The lion was the real money shot though. Every once in a while, however, there would be unhappy customers. There was one in particular, which Lang would never forget for the rest of his life. He had booked a tour in the middle of a week-long storm. But Lang and his mother needed the money, so he decided to take the man and his brother out anyway. They saw perhaps a single Giraffe during the entire tour and the man asked for a refund. It wasn’t something Lang did, it wasn’t something he could do and continue to live and remain comfortable. So he told the man it wasn’t going to be possible.

At the time, one would’ve thought that the man had taken it well. However he whipped around and Lang met his fist, just as quickly his head kissed the ground beneath him, bouncing slightly before settling itself on the ground. But Lang had been punched before. He rose back up, only now noticing that he towered over the man, but there were two of them, his brother didn’t seem like a walk in the park either. The fight lasted longer than Lang would like to admit, upwards of five to ten minutes. Slipping in the mud and the blood that coated the ground, but by the end Lang had knocked both men out. It turns out there were a few people that run places like Cape Town, this was one of them. Lang’s mother wouldn’t hear a single excuse that night, he was on his way to Camp-Half Blood the next day. She was a demigod as well, she knew.

~Personal Information~

Personality: Em is often considered immature and ditzy. She would much rather remain a child than grow up and do adult duties. She is very much a prankster, with her friends or strangers, and would prefer to go and mess up a serious situation than try and fix it to where it is normal again. She is not a troublesome person, however. She can tell when people are getting annoyed and immediately turn on a more adult like persona, though she cannot turn her fun off just because she seems to act more like an adult. When it comes to more serious situations, she does not throw tantrums, but she tries to block out the serious and tries to make everything fun and happy again. She tends to be ignorant toward the bad. When things get too bad however, she covers her ears and forces everyone out of her head, like a child would. Though she is a child herself, she can have a very motherly air about her when it comes to animals and injured anything. She seems to know how to make people laugh whenever they are hurt. She always has a very cheerful air about her and can always seem to make someone smile, except Erin of course. She is a caring person and manages to distract people away from any pain or strife that is about in her world of bubbles and fun. She tries to make the world a better place, but as many people know, you can't always fix something so broken.

Skills: As a child of Iris, Em has the ability to control and manipulate the light around her through photokinesis. This allows her to turn light into weapons, and create illusions out of light. She has the ability to bend light to her will and cause it to form shapes. She also has the ability to move as fast as light, or slightly slower. This fast running eats up her energy though, which makes her have a very large appetite when it comes to eating. She is an incredible artist when it comes to painting or drawing anything and is very good at doing makeup for the girls, since some consider makeup an art form.

Biography:
Emerald was born to a solar energy scientist in New Orleans, Louisiana. Being a scientist, however, takes up a lot of time, and Emerald was sent to a day care every day. She grew up around racial hatred and rejection, but she didn't understand why. She learned from a young age that she was not to be nice to those of a different skin color. She would ask why, but no one would ever tell her or they would reprimand her. Finally, she found it easier to conform to the ideals of her society, though she didn't agree wit most of them.

The rest of her childhood was pretty normal. She attended an all girls' private school, where she met some of her best friends. She was happy, even if she didn't know her mother or have a close connection with her father. She was rarely at home when she started school. She would always go to friends' house to study or to play. That's where she was when it happened.

Hurricane Katrina hit on August 23rd, 2005, when Em was only eight years old. She was at her friend's house in the more beautiful and expensive part of New Orleans. They had a three story house, but somehow no news, which is why neither families knew what was going to happen. They got trapped in the house and immediately made their way to the top of the house, trying to keep away from the first floor and the basement. Everything broke down. She wasn't able to reach out to her father or anyone, and she waited in radio silence for eight days with her friend in her house. She would watch the rain and wonder every day if she was going to die.

The hurricane ended, and the aftermath was catastrophic. Em had to stay with her friend as the rescue team tried to find her father. She didn't mind too much staying with her friend, but she did miss her father. She waited for three months before they came to her and told her that her father was dead. She was in shock and cried for days, staying with her friend's family. With the town still in chaos, the paper work for finding her second of kin took two years to do, and she waited her fate. Until then, she remained with her friend. When she turned ten, they finally got to her and told her that her father named his successor Chiron, and named off a place she didn't know. They took her there and she met Chiron for the first time. That's where she learned her heritage. She went to live in the camp and has been there ever since that day.

~Weaponry Information~

Weapon/s: Though she doesn't really go to fighting, she does have a weapon just in case she needs to be able to protect herself and she cannot run away.
Weapon/s Name: ουράνιο τόξο (Rainbow).
Weapon/s Type: Gunsen War Fan.
Attributes: The fan can amplify her powers as she can throw some knives off of the fan and send her light through the knives to shoot out at her enemies. She can also throw the fan and if she pushes light into the fan, it can shoot it farther and she can direct it toward where she needs it to go.

~Personal Information~

Personality:
Eve and Zoe could be compared to a car. If Zoe was the steering wheel, Eve was the engine, roaring down the road, without her older half, directionless and out of control. She found that Zoe was a lot of what she aspired to be. She was warm, kind, accepting and wanted to help people. But sometimes, people were best defined by what they weren’t not what they were. Eve only cared about a few things: living up to Zoe and making sure they got through life without too much hassle. By the time Eve was making their way to Camp Half-Blood Eve had failed on both regards. A large part of Eve’s life was fighting. It gave her a sense of accomplishment, each victory like a successful painting. It wasn’t all that uncommon for her to return home covered in bruises, with torn knuckles asking for a drink. But that’s what she had Zoe for, she would already have dinner ready, help Eve nurse her wounds and get back out there.

The younger sister found herself interested with law at an early age. She herself didn’t know why she liked it so much, though she and Zoe theorized it had something to do with the immense challenge of it all. The lust for being intellectually challenged was what kept Eve in Harvard among other things. Outside of school Eve is a very different person. She is witty, she likes to have fun and be challenged and she enjoys the outdoors. Though due to recent events involving Zoe, she has completely turned this side of herself off. She has recently been suffering from bouts of nearly crippling fits of very sudden and very powerful anxiety attacks. They occur typically at night, mainly seeing herself standing above the crippled man who hurt her sister, the man who killed her. She cries, she stops herself from crying and she moves on.

When it comes to past times, most would think Eve a child of Ares. While neither Eve nor Zoe had met their mother, through their studies they have come to realize themselves as a sort of duality when it comes to her. They both possess the combat tact and the wisdom that she governs over, however Zoe was more intelligent while Eve is more suitable and likely to fight. This duality governs a lot of Eve’s free time. She fights in order to stay in shape and keep on top of things. Eve is a strong believer that family is most important, no matter what. She valued her sister and her father above all else, not allowing anything to get in their way, but now she is somewhat lost in that regard. However, because of what Eve had done to the professor, they will no longer be able to contact their father without implicating he had a role in what happened.

Skills:
• Combat Pragmatist: Eve is incredibly skilled in combat. Her perception of time is like a muscle that she is able to flex, seemingly slowing down time in order to formulate a strategy and utilize it, destroying the opposition. She is physically strong enough to break bones with her hands and can easily fight against men nearly twice her size, as a true daughter of Athena should. She typically utilizes their strength against them in momentum based throws and strikes.

• Perception of time: As mentioned previously, Eve can slow her perception of time by ‘flexing’ it. To do this, she puts strain on herself and her brain, slowing down the time she sees and acting within that slowed time. She can do this for a long time, including in fights, however being struck while slowing down time can have brutal effects on her brain and psyche. The last time this happened she was out cold for a weekend. It’s a risk. She is still a very competent fighter without it, however.

• Perfect Physical Form: Eve has carefully trained her body in order to attain the form of an Olympic athlete. Stating that she is anything less would be severely underselling her. She can keep pace with an Olympic runner and has the physical strength of a mixed martial artist. This takes a great deal of concentration and daily effort to maintain, she does, however maintain it. With the help of her sister providing her with healthy meals and the energy to keep moving forward.

• Incredible Intellect: Eve, along with her sister Zoe, had no issue attaining grades high enough to enter Harvard University and the two have studied a wide variety of subjects. They both found it easy to pick up knowledge on the fly and use it to their advantage, whether that be in a fight or while on a quest. They are both also very knowledgeable when it comes to Greek history and myths. After Athena claimed Zoe, Eve relentlessly pursued all available knowledge of her mother.

Biography:

In Marseilles France there was a saying that roughly translated to English states that two is always better than one. This is typically used in recognition of Marseilles and her many sister cities. However, many of the people who grew to know the Lumière sisters would come to say it about them. Eve and Zoe were a unit, raised by one man they still managed to become their own person. With their father’s insistence on them training in self-defense and physical combat, they displayed this separation and yet similarity. Eve took a full course load, so to speak, taking boxing, fencing, krav maga, savate, and muay thai. She was incredibly talented in each discipline. With what Eve lacked in full on raw strength she made up for in full in strategic sense. She could see openings, weak spots, tells, all with ease. Coupling that with her smaller frame and speed and she was a fighter anyone in their right mind would’ve feared.

She and Zoe were placed in only the best private schooling, while she never knew the price of tuition it was upwards of the average college tuition for the Lumière daughters to make it through grade school. While Eve excelled, nearly just as much as Zoe, she spent a large amount of time in extracurricular activities, ending up with worse entrance exam marks than her older sister had achieved during her upper years. While most thought this would’ve perturbed Eve, she was in fact incredibly proud of her sister. She even made dinner that night. The two sisters soon found themselves being snapped at by many large schools, attempting to snap up the young prodigé’s before any other school did. However, their father had big plans for his daughter and they ended up following through with them, they attended Harvard University in the United States. First Zoe, and then two years later, Eve. As soon as Zoe had accepted her information something extraordinary happened. Zoe was claimed by the goddess Athena as one of her children. It wasn’t until their father explained the significance of what had happened that Eve understood. Her sister was deemed worthy to acknowledge, but Eve was not. Eve felt as if she was merely a footnote in her sister’s life. She was but a stepping stone both of her parents had to step over in order to hold their favorite daughter up higher.

The sisters found an apartment when they both attended Harvard and managed to get it at a decent rent, Eve worked night shifts to make ends meet, but all of that wouldn’t matter in a couple years when they graduated. Eve and Zoe shared a similar course load, though not completely mirroring one another, as Zoe was of a higher year. Eve instead took an interest in law like her sister. She made sure to visit her older sister, pick her up from classes and the like. But on top of her already busy course load she soon found herself on the varsity fencing team and she even participated on some side amateur mixed martial arts matches when she had the time. Zoe had begun seeing one of their professors from the previous year and Eve began seeing less and less of her sister. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, she began to change. Change the way she dressed, spoke even the way she looked around, she was fearful. Eve didn’t have enough evidence to act, but she had enough to inquire. So she picked up a bottle of wine with a winning smile and a fake I.D. and prepared for her sister to arrive that night so they could talk about what was going on. But Zoe never arrived. Never answered her phone. Eve rushed out of the house, she had been told by her father that monsters of myth may follow her, them, but she had never considered it a real possibility until now.

Eve arrived on the scene, she was able to track the cellphone because her and her sister always had their locations set as shared on their phones. There were three figures, they had shovels, they were monsters. They had Zoe. She wasn’t moving. They stopped moving. Eve was a monster.

Those close to her had always told her, to ground herself in reality you just have to say the name of the street you were raised on, then the next block over, and continuing. It was the only thing she could say as Athena claimed her as her child, and guided her to Camp Half-Blood herself. They spoke very little, but Eve thanked her mother for appearing to her.

~Personal Information~

Personality: Virgil grew up fending for himself, for not long after her dalliance with his father, Hades, Lisette was hardly fit to be a mother. He grew up with an abiding anger at drugs and the users that took them. His grandma raised him to be a boy of honor and integrity, to help when he could, but keep his nose down when he knew he shouldn’t. Many times he’d had to run away from what he thought was bullying, when it was in fact a mugging. His nearest brush with death had been the bullet that nearly tore through his shoulder, leaving a gouge along his shoulder muscle. His grandma had beat him nearly senseless when she found out he would be okay. Virgil knew she was just scared and had simply pulled her into a strong hug, taking comfort in her presence.

He’s a studious sort, always wanting all the details before making a decision or judgement of a person or subject. He is loath to let anyone get close, in case they turn on him like some of his old friends had in his neighborhood

Caution and anxiety now rule his thoughts, thinking that there might be a threat around every corner, in every person. After a few run-ins with a few unsavory characters, he’d sworn off anyone that didn’t first prove themselves through fire and trials. He’s not known to have a temper, but is quick to retaliate or retort to someone’s challenge or insult. Never one to take things lying down, he possesses a strong will that is slow to recover after his recent tragedies. Not known by many, Virgil is also an extremely sentimental person, often putting in great stock in small gestures and favors that come unasked. If someone were to sit down with him in a moment of vulnerability Virgil will accept support from anyone patient enough to deal with his near catatonic state of grief.

Skills: Virgil is a fair writer, a decent sketcher, and a paramount athlete. His particular talent is hoops, winning many a game on the blacktop in Oakland. It was the money won in these games that allowed him to fund his needs as he fled across the country.

He has all the powers afforded to a child of Hades, but doesn’t know how to use any but Shadow travel, of which he finds particularly easy and not very taxing at all. Yet his nonstop flight across the United States put him at the limits of his abilities, using it continuously for battles and escape, jumping large distances. Eventually he was limited to much shorter hops as his stamina was drawn to its outer limits.

Biography: Virgil was born to a single mother, a once glamorous actress that quickly slid down the dirty side of the business. With a raging coke addiction, she spent most of her earnings before he’d even grown out of diapers. She kicked the habit, finding work in small time commercials, finally breaking back into the scene and rarely having time for her son because of it. Eventually, business slowed as he drug abuse came back and the wear began to show on her beauty. Soon, they were back to the slums of Oakland, back to Lisette’s roots with Virgil in tow.

Lisette had always been attractive and she made use of her little remaining beauty, the only way she knew how… hooking. It wasn’t soon after that she was chasing the dragon’s tail and addicted to heroin. Virgil was five turning six when the worst of it was fully underway. Once, he’d escaped their garbage strewn apartment, finding his mother in the side alley between his tenement and the next, a needle still in her arm as the euphoria filled her body. It was obvious, even then to the young boy, his mother didn’t care about the world around her anymore. Wasn’t the mother he’d once known and loved. He began beating her shoulders and crying, urging her to come back home! He was hungry, tired, and needed his mother!

Child Services were called and Virgil was placed with his Grandmother forthwith. From that tender age onward, he lived with his sweet old Grandma Edna. She took him in with open arms and a warm heart, but with stern rules. His grades never slipped below a B+ again, most often finding Virgil on the honor roll. He now had all the food he could want, his grandmother an excellent cook. Even with all of her rich soul food cooking, Virgil was still fit and strong, not a trace of body fat. Edna always chalked up to her good genes, but Virgil had always suspected differently. His grandmother wanted to protect him for as long as she thought she could.

At the age of eighty-two, Edna was diagnosed with leukemia. Seven months went by after the initial diagnosis and her treatments seemed to be going extremely well. Her doctors were hopeful, optimistic even, yet Virgil couldn’t help but feel differently. Somehow, he knew, his grandmother would die, on his birthday no less. Soon, that fateful day came. He knelt beside her bedside, holding onto a hand that was far too thin. Edna had been a rotund woman and strong in body and soul. It was a wonder she’d survived as long as she did, something that the latent powers of Virgil had a hand in. His subconscious desire to keep his grandmother stayed her death for as long as was even unnaturally possible.

Hours they sat in silent vigil, waiting for the fated time. In the final minutes of her life, Edna finally revealed Virgil’s true heritage, the divine blood of Hades that coursed through his veins. Even as she told him, the dark purple glow of his father’s symbol appeared above his head, floating there without any source other than itself. He wondered at it… until the weak grip of his grandma’s became nonexistent. She had passed away seemingly between beats of his heart and in that moment, Virgil felt more alone than he ever thought he could. Yet even before the true breadth of grief could consume him, an odd sound of scraping and cracking resounded from the ceiling!

Between blinks, the roof was ripped from its holding and a blood-chilling screech filled the air. Virgil began to shake as wide eyes laid on the very first monster, but certainly not the last he’d know. A drakon had come for him and he could see many shadowy shapes all about the night sky. He felt the strength of the shadows then, his awareness of his demigod abilities manifesting in the first ability a child of Hades might utilize, Shadow travel. He managed to get on top of the drakon, flung around by wild bucking as if it were a bull. He flew through the night air, catching a hold on two spines on the drakon’s tail. He snapped one off and managed to climb its spine, eventually digging its own bone into its eye and crumbling the beast into dust!

Thus started Virgil’s desperate escape to Camp Half-blood, his new home, and the only place he had family left.
